1 Pedro 1
1 Pedro, apóstolo de Jesus Cristo, aos forasteiros que estão espalhados em Ponto, Galácia, Capadócia, Ásia e Bitínia,
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, unto the chosen pilgrims of the dispersion, throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, —
2 escolhidos segundo o pré-conhecimento de Deus Pai, por meio da santificação do Espírito, para a obediência e a aspersão do sangue de Jesus Cristo. Que a graça e a paz vos sejam multiplicadas.
[Chosen] according to the fore-knowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of Spirit, unto obedience and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ, Favour unto you, and peace, be multiplied!
3 Bendito seja o Deus e Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo. Segundo sua grande misericórdia, ele nos regenerou para uma esperança viva, por meio da ressurreição de Jesus Cristo dentre os mortos.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who, according to his great mercy, hath regenerated us unto a living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from among the dead,
4 E o resultado disso é uma herança incorruptível, incontaminável, e que não pode ser enfraquecida. Ela está guardada nos céus para vós,
Unto an inheritance, incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, reserved in the heavens for you
5 que pela fé estais guardados no poder de Deus para a salvação, pronta para se revelar no último tempo.
who, in God’s power, are being guarded through faith unto salvation—ready to be revealed in the last ripe time:
6 Nisso vos alegrais, ainda que agora seja necessário que estejais por um pouco [de tempo] entristecidos com várias provações,
Wherein ye exult, though, for a little, just now, if needful, put to grief in manifold temptations,
7 para que a prova de vossa fé, muito mais preciosa que o ouro que perece (mesmo sendo provado pelo fogo), seja achada em louvor, glória, e honra, na revelação de Jesus Cristo.
In order that the proving of your faith—much more precious than of gold that perisheth even though, by means of fire, it is proved—may be found unto praise and glory and honour in the revealing of Jesus Christ, —
8 A ele, sem terdes visto, vós o amais. Ainda que não estejais o vendo agora, mas crendo nele, vós estais alegres com júbilo indescritível e glorioso.
Whom, not having seen, ye love, on whom, though at present not looking, but believing, ye exult with joy unspeakable and filled with glory,
9 Assim estais alcançando o resultado da fé: a salvação das [vossas] almas.
Being about to bear away the end of your faith—a salvation of souls:
10 Dessa salvação os profetas que profetizaram a respeito da graça [direcionada] a vós procuraram entender, e com empenho investigaram,
Concerning which salvation, prophets—who concerning the favour for you, did prophesy—sought out and searched out,
11 procurando saber qual era o tempo ou ocasião que o Espírito de Cristo dentro deles indicava, quando dava prévio testemunho dos sofrimentos de Cristo e das glórias seguintes.
Searching into what particular, or what manner, of season the Spirit of Christ which was in them was pointing to, when witnessing beforehand as to—The sufferings, for Christ, and the glories, after these, —
12 A eles foi revelado que não foi para eles mesmos, mas sim para vós, que eles prestaram serviço com estas coisas. E agora, elas vos foram anunciadas pelos que, pelo Espírito Santo enviado do céu, vos pregaram o Evangelho. Tais coisas os anjos desejam atentamente observar.
Unto whom it was revealed—that, Not unto themselves, but unto us, they were ministering them, which things have, now, been announced unto you through them who have told you the good tidings with Holy Spirit sent forth from heaven: into which things messengers are coveting to obtain a nearer view.
13 Portanto, preparai as vossas mentes, sede sóbrios, e esperai completamente na graça que vos será trazida na revelação de Jesus Cristo.
Wherefore, girding up the loins of your mind, keeping sober, perseveringly direct your hope unto the favour, being borne along to you, in the revealing of Jesus Christ:
14 E, como filhos obedientes, não vos conformeis com os maus desejos do passado, de quando éreis ignorantes.
As obedient persons, not configuring yourselves unto your former covetings in your ignorance:
15 Ao contrário; assim como aquele que vos chamou é santo, sede vós também santos em todo o [vosso] comportamento.
But, according as he that hath called you is holy, do, ye yourselves, also become, holy in all manner of behaviour, —
16 Pois está escrito: Sede santos, porque eu sou santo.
Inasmuch as it is written—Holy shall ye be, because, I, am holy.
17 E, se vós chamais de Pai aquele que, sem acepção de pessoas, julga segundo a obra de cada um, vivei em temor o tempo de vossa peregrinação;
And, if, as Father, ye are invoking him who, without respect of persons, judgeth according to each man’s work, with reverence, for the time of your sojourning, behave ye;
18 e sabei que não foi por coisas destrutíveis, [como] prata ou ouro, que fostes resgatados da vossa vã maneira de viver que recebestes dos [vossos] pais,
Knowing that, Not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, have ye been redeemed from your unmeaning behaviour paternally handed down,
19 mas sim, pelo sangue precioso, como de um cordeiro sem falha e sem contaminação: o [sangue] de Cristo.
But with precious blood, as of a lamb, unblemished and unspotted, of an Anointed One, —
20 Ele já era conhecido desde antes da fundação do mundo, mas foi manifesto no fim dos tempos por causa de vós,
Foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, but made manifest at a last stage of the times, for the sake of you
21 que, por meio dele, credes em Deus, que o ressuscitou dos mortos e lhe deu glória, para que a vossa fé e esperança estejam em Deus.
who, through him, are faithful towards God, —Who raised him from among the dead, and glory to him gave, So that your faith and hope are directed towards God:
22 Uma vez que purificastes as vossas almas na obediência da verdade, para o sincero amor fraternal, amai-vos intensamente uns aos outros de coração,
Having purified, your souls, by the obedience of the truth, unto unfeigned brotherly affection, from the heart, love, one another, earnestly;
23 visto que nascestes de novo, não de semente que perece, mas sim imperecível, pela viva palavra de Deus, que permanece. (aiōn g165)
Having been regenerated—Not out of corruptible seed, but incorruptible—through means of the word of a Living and Abiding God; (aiōn g165)
24 Pois toda carne é como a erva, e toda a sua glória como a flor da erva. A erva se seca, e a flor cai;
Inasmuch as—All flesh, is as grass, and, all the glory thereof, as the flower of grass, —The grass hath withered, and the flower hath fallen out,
