1 E quando Salomão havia acabado a obra da casa do SENHOR, e a casa real, e tudo o que Salomão quis fazer,
It happened, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do,
2 o SENHOR apareceu a Salomão a segunda vez, como lhe havia aparecido em Gibeão.
that the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared to him at Gibeon.
3 E disse-lhe o SENHOR: Eu ouvido tua oração e teu rogo, que fizeste em minha presença. Eu santifiquei esta casa que tu hás edificado, para pôr meu nome nela para sempre; e nela estarão meus olhos e meu coração todos os dias.
And the LORD said to him, "I have heard your prayer and your petition that you have made before me. I have done for you according to all your prayer. I have consecrated this house which you have built, to place my name there forever, and my eyes and my heart will be there perpetually.
4 E se tu andares diante de mim, como andou Davi teu pai, em integridade de coração e em equidade, fazendo todas as coisas que eu te ei mandado, e guardando meus estatutos e meus direitos,
As for you, if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep my statutes and my ordinances;
5 Eu afirmarei o trono de teu reino sobre Israel para sempre, como falei a Davi teu pai, dizendo: Não faltará de ti homem no trono de Israel.
then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, according as I promised to David your father, saying, 'There shall not fail you a man on the throne of Israel.'
6 Mas se obstinadamente vos apartardes de mim vós e vossos filhos, e não guardardes meus mandamentos e meus estatutos que eu pus diante de vós, mas sim que fordes e servirdes a deuses alheios, e os adorardes;
But if you turn away from following me, you or your children, and not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;
7 Eu cortarei a Israel de sobre a face da terra que lhes entreguei; e esta casa que santifiquei a meu nome, eu a lançarei de diante de mim, e Israel será por provérbio e fábula a todos os povos;
then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have made holy for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all peoples.
8 E esta casa que estava em estima, qualquer um que passar por ela se pasmará, e assoviará, e dirá: Por que fez assim o SENHOR a esta terra, e a esta casa?
And this house, which is exalted, will become a heap of ruins. Everyone who passes by it will be astonished, and will whistle, and they will say, 'Why has the LORD done this to this land, and to this house?'
9 E dirão: Porquanto deixaram ao SENHOR seu Deus, que havia tirado a seus pais da terra do Egito, e lançaram mão a deuses alheios, e os adoraram, e os serviram: por isso trouxe o SENHOR sobre eles todo este mal.
And they shall answer, 'Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold of other gods, and worshiped them, and served them. Therefore the LORD has brought all this disaster on them.'"
10 E aconteceu ao fim de vinte anos, em que Salomão havia edificado as duas casas, a casa do SENHOR e a casa real,
It happened at the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the LORD and the king's house
11 (Para as quais Hirão rei de Tiro, havia trazido a Salomão madeira de cedro e de faia, e quanto ouro ele quis), que o rei Salomão deu a Hirão vinte cidades em terra de Galileia.
(now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desire), that then king Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.
12 E saiu Hirão de Tiro para ver as cidades que Salomão lhe havia dado, e não lhe contentaram.
Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they did not please him.
13 E disse: Que cidades são estas que me deste, irmão? E pôs-lhes por nome, a terra de Cabul, até hoje.
He said, "What cities are these which you have given me, my brother?" He called them the land of Cabul to this day.
14 E havia Hirão enviado ao rei cento e vinte talentos de ouro.
Hiram sent to the king one hundred twenty talents of gold.
15 E esta é a razão do tributo que o rei Salomão impôs para edificar a casa do SENHOR, e sua casa, e a Milo, e o muro de Jerusalém, e a Hazor, e Megido, e Gezer.
This is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised, to build the house of the LORD, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.
16 Faraó, o rei do Egito, havia subido e tomado a Gezer, e a queimado, e havia matado os cananeus que habitavam a cidade, e dado-a em presente à sua filha, a mulher de Salomão.
Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slain the Canaanites who lived in the city, and given it for a portion to his daughter, Solomon's wife.
17 Restaurou, pois Salomão a Gezer, e à baixa Bete-Horom,
Solomon built Gezer, and Lower Beth Horon,
18 E a Baalate, e a Tadmor em terra do deserto;
and Baalath, and Tamar in the wilderness, in the land,
19 Também todas as cidades de onde Salomão tinha armazéns, e as cidades dos carros, e as cidades de cavaleiros, e tudo o que Salomão desejou edificar em Jerusalém, no Líbano, e em toda a terra de seu senhorio.
and all the storage cities that Solomon had, and the cities for his chariots, and the cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build for his pleasure in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
20 A todos os povos que restaram dos amorreus, heteus, perizeus, heveus, jebuseus, que não foram dos filhos de Israel;
As for all the people who were left of the Amorites, the Hethites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of the children of Israel;
21 A seus filhos que restaram na terra depois deles, que os filhos de Israel não puderam acabar, fez Salomão que servissem com tributo até hoje.
their descendants who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel were not able utterly to destroy, of them Solomon conscripted for slave labor to this day.
22 Mas a ninguém dos filhos de Israel impôs Salomão serviço, mas sim que eram homens de guerra, ou seus criados, ou seus príncipes, ou seus capitães, ou comandantes de seus carros, ou sua cavaleiros.
But of the children of Israel Solomon made no bondservants; but they were the men of war, and his servants, and his commanders, and his captains, and rulers of his chariots and of his horsemen.
23 E os que Salomão havia feito chefes e líderes sobre as obras, eram quinhentos e cinquenta, os quais estavam sobre o povo que trabalhava naquela obra.
These were the chief officers who were over Solomon's work, five hundred fifty, who bore rule over the people who labored in the work.
24 E subiu a filha de Faraó da cidade de Davi a sua casa que Salomão lhe havia edificado: então edificou ele a Milo.
But Pharaoh's daughter came up out of the City of David to her house which Solomon had built for her: then he built Millo.
25 E oferecia Salomão três vezes cada um ano holocaustos e pacíficos sobre o altar que ele edificou ao SENHOR, e queimava incenso sobre o que estava diante do SENHOR, depois que a casa foi acabada.
Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar which he built to the LORD three times a year, burning incense with them, on the altar that was before the LORD. So he finished the house.
26 Fez também o rei Salomão navios em Eziom-Geber, que é junto a Elate na beira do mar Vermelho, na terra de Edom.
King Solomon also had a fleet of ships at Ezion Geber, which is near Eilat on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom.
27 E enviou Hirão neles a seus servos, marinheiros e destros no mar, com os servos de Salomão:
Hiram sent in the navy his servants, sailors who had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Solomon.
28 Os quais foram a Ofir, e tomaram dali ouro, quatrocentos e vinte talentos, e trouxeram-no ao rei Salomão.
They came to Ophir, and fetched from there gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon.
