1 Foi, pois, o rei Salomão rei sobre todo Israel.

And King Solomon is king over all Israel,

2 E estes foram os príncipes que teve: Azarias filho de Zadoque, sacerdote;

and these [are] the heads whom he has: Azariah son of Zadok [is] the priest;

3 Eliorefe e Aías, filhos de Sisa, escribas; Josafá filho de Ailude, chanceler;

Elihoreph and Ahiah sons of Shisha [are] scribes; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud [is] remembrancer;

4 Benaia filho de Joiada era sobre o exército; e Zadoque e Abiatar eram os sacerdotes;

and Benaiah son of Jehoiada [is] over the host; and Zadok and Abiathar [are] priests;

5 Azarias filho de Natã era sobre os governadores; Zabude filho de Natã era principal oficial, amigo do rei;

and Azariah son of Nathan [is] over the officers; and Zabud son of Nathan [is] minister, friend of the king;

6 E Aisar era mordomo; e Adonirão filho de Abda era sobre o tributo.

and Ahishar [is] over the household, and Adoniram son of Abda [is] over the tribute.

7 E tinha Salomão doze governadores sobre todo Israel, os quais mantinham ao rei e à sua casa. Cada um deles estava obrigado a abastecer por um mês no ano.

And Solomon has twelve officers over all Israel, and they have sustained the king and his household—a month in the year is on each one for sustenance;

8 E estes são os nomes deles: Ben-Hur no monte de Efraim;

and these [are] their names: Ben-Hur in the hill-country of Ephraim;

9 Ben-Dequer, em Macaz, e em Saalbim, e em Bete-Semes, e em Elom-Bete-Hanã;

Ben-Dekar in Makaz, and Shaalbim, and Beth-Shemesh, and Elon-Beth-Hanan;

10 Ben-Hesede, em Arubote; este tinha também a Socó e toda a terra de Hefer.

Ben-Hesed, in Aruboth, has Sochoh and all the land of Hepher;

11 Ben-Abinadabe, em toda a região de Dor: este tinha por mulher a Tafate filha de Salomão;

Ben-Abinadab [has] all the elevation of Dor; Taphath daughter of Solomon became his wife;

12 Baana filho de Ailude, em Taanaque e Megido, e em toda Bete-Seã, que é próxima de Zaretã, por abaixo de Jezreel, desde Bete-Seã até Abel-Meolá, e até a outra parte de Jocmeão;

Baana Ben-Ahilud [has] Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-Shean, which [is] by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth-Shean to Abel-Meholah, to beyond Jokneam;

13 Ben-Geber, em Ramote de Gileade; este tinha também as cidades de Jair filho de Manassés, as quais estavam em Gileade; tinha também a província de Argobe, que era em Basã, sessenta grandes cidades com muro e fechaduras de bronze;

Ben-Geber, in Ramoth-Gilead, has the small towns of Jair son of Manasseh, which [are] in Gilead; he has a portion of Argob that [is] in Bashan—sixty great cities [with] wall and bronze bar;

14 Ainadabe filho de Ido, em Maanaim;

Ahinadab son of Iddo [has] Mahanaim;

15 Aimaás em Naftali; este tomou também por mulher a Basemate filha de Salomão.

Ahimaaz [is] in Naphtali; he also has taken Basemath daughter of Solomon for a wife;

16 Baaná filho de Husai, em Aser e em Alote;

Baanah Ben-Hushai [is] in Asher, and in Aloth;

17 Josafá filho de Parua, em Issacar;

Jehoshaphat Ben-Paruah [is] in Issachar;

18 Simei filho de Elá, em Benjamim;

Shimei Ben-Elah [is] in Benjamin;

19 Geber filho de Uri, na terra de Gileade, a terra de Seom rei dos amorreus, e de Ogue rei de Basã; este era o único governador naquela terra.

Geber Ben-Uri [is] in the land of Gilead, the land of Sihon king of the Amorite, and of Og king of Bashan: and [he is] the one officer who [is] in the land.

20 Judá e Israel eram muitos, como a areia que está junto ao mar em multidão, comendo e bebendo e alegrando-se.

Judah and Israel [are] many, as the sand that [is] by the sea for multitude, eating and drinking and rejoicing.

21 E Salomão dominava sobre todos os reinos, desde o rio até a terra dos filisteus, e até o termo do Egito; e traziam tributos, e serviram a Salomão todos os dias em que viveu.

And Solomon has been ruling over all the kingdoms, from the River [to] the land of the Philistines and to the border of Egypt: they are bringing a present near, and serving Solomon, all [the] days of his life.

22 E a provisão de Salomão era, cada dia, trinta coros de farinha refinada, e sessenta coros de farinha comum;

And the provision of Solomon for one day is thirty cors of flour, and sixty cors of meal,

23 dez bois engordados, e vinte bois de pasto, e cem ovelhas; sem os cervos, cabras, búfalos, e aves engordadas.

ten fat oxen, and twenty feeding oxen, and one hundred sheep, apart from deer, and roe, and fallow-deer, and fatted beasts of the stalls,

24 Porque ele dominava em toda a região que estava da outra parte do rio, desde Tifsa até Gaza, sobre todos os reis da outra parte do rio; e teve paz por todos os lados em derredor seu.

for he is ruling over all beyond the river, from Tiphsah and to Gaza, over all the kings beyond the River, and he has peace from all his surrounding servants.

25 E Judá e Israel viviam seguros, cada um debaixo de sua parreira e debaixo de sua figueira, desde Dã até Berseba, todos os dias de Salomão.

And Judah dwells—and Israel—in confidence, each under his vine, and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-Sheba, all the days of Solomon.

26 Além disso, Salomão tinha quarenta mil cavalos em seus estábulos para suas carruagens, e doze mil cavaleiros.

And Solomon has forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

27 E estes governadores mantinham ao rei Salomão, e a todos os que vinham à mesa do rei Salomão, a cada mês; e faziam que nada faltasse.

And these officers have sustained King Solomon and everyone drawing near to the table of King Solomon, each [in] his month; they let nothing be lacking.

28 Faziam também trazer cevada e palha para os cavalos e para os animais de carga, ao lugar de onde ele estava, cada um conforme ao cargo que tinha.

And the barley and the straw, for horses and for dromedaries, they bring to the place where they are, each according to his ordinance.

29 E deu Deus a Salomão sabedoria, e prudência muito grande, e largura de coração como a areia que está à beira do mar.

And God gives very much wisdom and understanding to Solomon, and breadth of heart, as the sand that [is] on the edge of the sea;

30 Que foi maior a sabedoria de Salomão que a de todos os orientais, e que toda a sabedoria dos egípcios.

and the wisdom of Solomon is greater than the wisdom of any of the sons of the east, and [greater] than all the wisdom of Egypt;

31 E ainda foi mais sábio que todos os homens; mais que Etã ezraíta, e que Hemã e Calcol e Darda, filhos de Maol: e foi nomeado entre todas as nações de ao redor.

and he is wiser than all men, [wiser] than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, sons of Mahol, and his name is in all the surrounding nations.

32 E propôs três mil parábolas; e seus versos foram mil e cinco.

And he speaks three thousand allegories, and his songs [are] one thousand and five;

33 Também descreveu as árvores, desde o cedro do Líbano até o hissopo que nasce na parede. Também descreveu os animais, as aves, os répteis, e os peixes.

and he speaks concerning the trees, from the cedar that [is] in Lebanon, even to the hyssop that is coming out in the wall, and he speaks concerning the livestock, and concerning the bird, and concerning the creeping things, and concerning the fishes,

34 E vinham de todos os povos a ouvir a sabedoria de Salomão, e de todos os reis da terra, de onde havia chegado a fama de sua sabedoria.

and there come out [those] of all the peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth who have heard of his wisdom.
