1 João 5
1 Todo aquele que crê que Jesus é o Cristo é nascido de Deus; e todo aquele que ama ao que gerou, também ama ao que dele é nascido.
Every one that believes that Jesus is the Christ is begotten of God; and every one that loves him that has begotten loves also him that is begotten of him.
2 Nisto sabemos que amamos os filhos de Deus: quando amamos a Deus, e praticamos os seus mandamentos.
Hereby know we that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep his commandments.
3 Pois este é o amor de Deus: que guardemos os seus mandamentos. E os seus mandamentos não são pesados.
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments; and his commandments are not grievous.
4 Pois todo aquele que é nascido de Deus vence o mundo; e esta é a vitória que vence o mundo: a nossa fé.
For all that has been begotten of God gets the victory over the world; and this is the victory which has gotten the victory over the world, our faith.
5 Quem é o que vence o mundo, senão aquele que crê que Jesus é o Filho de Deus?
Who is he that gets the victory over the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 Este é aquele que veio por água e sangue: Jesus, o Cristo. Não só pela água, mas pela água e [pelo] sangue. E o Espírito é o que lhe dá testemunho, porque o Espírito é a verdade.
This is he that came by water and blood, Jesus [the] Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that bears witness, for the Spirit is the truth.
7 Pois são três os que dão testemunho:
For they that bear witness are three:
8 o Espírito, a água e o sangue; e estes três estão em unidade.
the Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and the three agree in one.
9 Se recebemos o testemunho humano, o testemunho de Deus é maior; pois este é o testemunho de Deus, que testificou de seu Filho.
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater. For this is the witness of God [which] he has witnessed concerning his Son.
10 Quem crê no Filho de Deus tem testemunho em si; quem não crê em Deus o fez de mentiroso, porque não creu no testemunho que Deus deu acerca do seu Filho.
He that believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself; he that does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the witness which God has witnessed concerning his Son.
11 E este é o testemunho: que Deus nos deu a vida eterna; e essa vida está no seu Filho. (aiōnios g166)
And this is the witness, that God has given to us eternal life; and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios g166)
12 Quem tem o Filho tem a vida; quem não tem o Filho de Deus não tem a vida.
He that has the Son has life: he that has not the Son of God has not life.
13 Estas coisas escrevi para vós que credes no nome do Filho de Deus, para que saibais que tendes a vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
These things have I written to you that ye may know that ye have eternal life who believe on the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios g166)
14 E esta é a confiança que diante dele: que se pedirmos alguma coisa conforme a sua vontade, ele nos ouve.
And this is the boldness which we have towards him, that if we ask him anything according to his will he hears us.
15 E se sabemos que nos ouve em tudo o que pedimos, sabemos que alcançamos as coisas que lhe pedimos.
And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
16 Se alguém vê o seu irmão cometer um pecado que não é para a morte, orará, e lhe dará vida, para os que não pecarem para a morte. Há pecado para a morte, pelo qual não digo que ore.
If any one see his brother sinning a sin not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life, for those that do not sin unto death. There is a sin to death: I do not say of that that he should make a request.
17 Toda injustiça é pecado; e há pecado que não é para a morte.
Every unrighteousness is sin; and there is a sin not to death.
18 Sabemos que todo aquele que é nascido de Deus não pratica o pecado; mas o que é gerado de Deus o guarda, e o maligno não o toca.
We know that every one begotten of God does not sin, but he that has been begotten of God keeps himself, and the wicked [one] does not touch him.
19 Sabemos que somos de Deus, e que o mundo todo jaz no maligno.
We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the wicked [one].
20 E sabemos que o Filho de Deus veio, e nos deu entendimento para conhecermos o Verdadeiro; e no Verdadeiro estamos, em seu Filho Jesus Cristo. Este é o verdadeiro Deus, e a vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding that we should know him that [is] true; and we are in him that [is] true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
21 Filhinhos, guardai-vos dos ídolos.
Children, keep yourselves from idols.
