1 Coríntios 6
1 Algum de vós, tendo um assunto contra outro, ousa ir a juízo perante os injustos, e não perante os santos?
When one of you has a dispute with another, does he dare to go to the civil court before an unbelieving judge, rather than before the saints?
2 Não sabeis que os santos julgarão ao mundo? E se o mundo é julgado por vós, por acaso sois vós indignos de julgar as coisas mínimas?
Do you not know that the believers will judge the world? If then, you will judge the world, are you not able to settle matters of little importance?
3 Não sabeis que julgaremos aos anjos? Quanto mais as coisas desta vida!
Do you not know that we will judge the angels? How much more, then, can we judge matters of this life?
4 Pois se tiverdes assuntos em juízo, relativos a coisas desta vida, vós pondes como juízes aos que são menos estimados pela igreja?
If then you have to make judgments that pertain to daily life, why do you lay such cases as these before those who have no standing in the church?
5 Eu digo [isto] para vos envergonhar. Não há entre vós algum sábio, nem pelo menos um, que não possa julgar entre seus irmãos?
I say this to your shame. Is there no one among you wise enough to settle a dispute between brothers?
6 Mas irmão vai a juízo contra outro irmão, e isto perante incrédulos?
But as it stands, one believer goes to court against another believer, and that case is placed before a judge who is an unbeliever!
7 Porém já é uma falta entre vós, por entre vós haverdes disputas. Por que não aceitais serdes injustiçados? Por que não aceitais o prejuízo?
The fact that there are any disputes at all between Christians is already a defeat for you. Why not rather suffer the wrong? Why not rather allow yourselves to be cheated?
8 Mas vós [mesmos] injustiçais e prejudicais, e isto aos irmãos.
But you have wronged and cheated others, and these are your own brothers!
9 Ou não sabeis que os injustos não herdarão o Reino de Deus? Não erreis: nem os pecadores sexuais, nem os idólatras, nem os adúlteros, nem os sexualmente efeminados, nem os homens que fazem sexo com homens,
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not believe lies. The sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, those who practice homosexuality,
10 Nem os ladrões, nem os gananciosos, nem os beberrões, nem os maldizentes, nem os extorsores herdarão o Reino de Deus.
thieves, the greedy, drunkards, slanderers, and swindlers—none of them will inherit the kingdom of God.
11 E isto alguns de vós éreis. Mas [já] estais lavados, e santificados, e justificados no nome do Senhor Jesus, e pelo Espírito de nosso Deus.
That is what some of you were like. But you have been cleansed, you have been sanctified, you have been made right with God in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
12 Todas as coisas me são lícitas, mas nem todas as coisas convêm; todas as coisas me são lícitas, porém eu não deixarei me sujeitar por coisa alguma.
“Everything is lawful for me,” but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is lawful for me,” but I will not be mastered by any of them.
13 A comida é para o estômago, e o estômago é para a comida; mas Deus os aniquilará, tanto a um, como ao outro. Porém o corpo não é para o pecado sexual, mas para o Senhor, e o Senhor [é] para o corpo.
“Food is for the stomach, and the stomach is for food,” but God will do away with both of them. The body is not intended for sexual immorality. Instead, the body is for the Lord, and the Lord will provide for the body.
14 E Deus ressuscitou ao Senhor, e também por seu poder nos ressuscitará.
God both raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power.
15 Não sabeis vós que vossos corpos são membros de Cristo? Tomarei pois os membros de Cristo, e os farei membros de uma prostituta? De maneira nenhuma!
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take away the members of Christ and join them to a prostitute? May it not be!
16 Ou não sabeis que o que se junta [sexualmente] com uma prostituta se torna um [só] corpo [com ela]? Porque [a Escritura] diz: Os dois serão uma [só] carne.
Do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one flesh with her? As scripture says, “The two will become one flesh.”
17 Mas o que se junta com o Senhor, [com ele] se torna um [só] espírito.
But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.
18 Fugi do pecado sexual. Todo pecado que o ser humano comete é fora do corpo; mas o que pratica pecado sexual, peca contra seu próprio corpo.
Run away from sexual immorality! Every other sin that a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.
19 Ou não sabeis que vosso corpo é templo do Espírito Santo, o qual está em vós, o qual tendes de Deus, e [que] não sois de vós mesmos?
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives within you, whom you have from God? Do you not know that you are not your own?
20 Porque vós fostes comprados por alto preço; então glorificai a Deus em vosso corpo.
For you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.
