1 E os filhos de Israel segundo seu número, a saber, príncipes de famílias, comandantes, centuriões e oficiais dos que serviam ao rei em todos os negócios das divisões que entravam e saíam cada mês em todos os meses do ano, eram em cada divisão vinte e quatro mil.
Now, the sons of Israel—as to the number of them, the ancestral chiefs—and rulers of thousands and hundreds, and their officers who waited upon the king as to any matter of the courses, who came in and went out month by month, for all the months of the year, in each course, were twenty-four thousand.
2 Sobre a primeira divisão do primeiro mês estava Jasobeão filho de Zabdiel; e havia em sua divisão vinte e quatro mil.
Over the first course, for the first month, was Jashobeam, son of Zabdiel, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.
3 Dos filhos de Perez foi ele chefe de todos os capitães das companhias do primeiro mês.
Of the sons of Perez, was the chief for all the rulers of the hosts, for the first month.
4 Sobre a divisão do segundo mês estava Dodai aoíta: e Miclote era maior general em sua divisão, na que também havia vinte e quatro mil.
And, over the course for the second month, was Dodai an Ahohite, and, of his course, was Mikloth also a chief ruler, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.
5 O chefe da terceira divisão para o terceiro mês era Benaia, filho de Joiada sumo sacerdote; e em sua divisão havia vinte e quatro mil.
The ruler of the third host, for the third month, was Benaiah, son of Jehoiada the priest—a chief, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.
6 Este Benaia era valente entre os trinta e sobre os trinta; e em sua divisão estava Amizabade seu filho.
The same Benaiah, was a hero of thirty, and over the thirty, —and, over his course, was Ammizabad his son.
7 O quarto chefe para o quarto mês era Asael irmão de Joabe, e depois dele Zebadias seu filho; e em sua divisão havia vinte e quatro mil.
The fourth, for the fourth month, was Asahel, brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son, after him, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.
8 O quinto chefe para o quinto mês era Samute izraíta: e em sua divisão havia vinte e quatro mil.
Of the fifth, for the fifth month, the ruler, was Shamhuth the Izrahite, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.
9 O sexto para o sexto mês era Ira filho de Iques, de Tecoa; e em sua divisão vinte e quatro mil.
The sixth, for the sixth month, was Ira son of Ikkesh, the Tekoite, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.
10 O sétimo para o sétimo mês era Helez pelonita, dos filhos de Efraim; e em sua divisão vinte e quatro mil.
The seventh, for the seventh month, was Helez the Pelonite, of the sons of Ephraim, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.
11 O oitavo para o oitavo mês era Sibecai husatita, de Zerá; e em sua divisão vinte e quatro mil.
The eighth, for the eighth month, was Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zerahites, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.
12 O nono para o nono mês era Abiezer anatotita, dos benjamitas; e em sua divisão vinte e quatro mil.
The ninth, for the ninth month, was Abiezer the Anathothite, of the Benjamites, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.
13 O décimo para o décimo mês era Maarai netofatita, de Zerá; e em sua divisão vinte e quatro mil.
The tenth, for the tenth month, was Maharai the Netophathite, of the Zerahites, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.
14 O décimo primeiro para o décimo primeiro mês era Benaia piratonita, dos filhos de Efraim; e em sua divisão vinte e quatro mil.
The eleventh, for the eleventh month, was Benaiah the Pirathonite, of the sons of Ephraim, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.
15 O décimo segundo para o décimo segundo mês era Heldai netofatita, de Otniel; e em sua divisão vinte e quatro mil.
The twelfth, for the twelfth month, was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.
16 Assim sobre as tribos de Israel: o chefe dos rubenitas era Eliézer filho de Zicri; dos simeonitas, Sefatias, filho de Maaca:
Furthermore, over the tribes of Israel, the chief ruler of the Reubenites, was Eliezer, son of Zichri. Of the Simeonites, Shephatiah, son of Maacah.
17 Dos levitas, Hasabias filho de Quemuel; dos aronitas, Zadoque;
Of Levi, Hashabiah, son of Kemuel. Of Aaron, Zadok.
18 De Judá, Eliú, um dos irmãos de Davi; dos de Issacar, Onri filho de Micael.
Of Judah, Elihu, one of the brethren of David. Of Issachar, Omri, son of Michael.
19 Dos de Zebulom, Ismaías filho de Obadias; dos de Naftali, Jeremote filho de Azriel;
Of Zebulun, Ishmaiah, son of Obadiah. Of Naphtali, Jeremoth, son of Azriel.
20 Dos filhos de Efraim, Oseias filho de Azazias; da meia tribo de Manassés, Joel filho de Pedaías;
Of the sons of Ephraim, Hoshea son of Azaziah. Of the half tribe of Manasseh, Joel, son of Pedaiah.
21 De a outra meia tribo de Manassés em Gileade, Ido filho de Zacarias; dos de Benjamim, Jaasiel filho de Abner;
Of the half of Manasseh, in Gilead, Iddo, son of Zechariah. Of Benjamin, Jaasiel, son of Abner.
22 E de Dã, Azarel filho de Jeroão. Estes foram os chefes das tribos de Israel.
Of Dan, Azarel, son of Jeroham. These, were the rulers of the tribes of Israel.
23 E não tomou Davi o número dos que eram de vinte anos abaixo, porquanto o SENHOR havia dito que ele havia de multiplicar a Israel como as estrelas do céu.
But David took not the number of them, from twenty years old, and under, —because Yahweh had said, he would multiply Israel like the stars of the heavens.
24 Joabe filho de Zeruia havia começado a contar, mas não acabou, pois por isto veio a ira sobre Israel: e assim o número não foi posto no registro das crônicas do rei Davi.
Joab son of Zeruiah, began to number, but finished not, when there arose, on this account, indignation against Israel, —neither did the number come up into the account of the chronicles of King David.
25 E Azmavete filho de Adiel tinha cargo dos tesouros do rei; e dos tesouros dos campos, e das cidades, e das aldeias e castelos, Jônatas filho de Uzia;
And, over the treasuries of the king, was Azmaveth, son of Adiel. And, over the treasuries in the fields, in the cities, in the villages and in the castles, was Jonathan, son of Uzziah;
26 E dos que trabalhavam na lavoura das terras, Ezri filho de Quelube;
And, over the workers of the field, for the tillage of the ground, was Ezri, son of Chelub.
27 E das vinhas Simei ramatita; e do fruto das vinhas para as adegas, Zabdias sifmita;
And, over the vineyards, was Shimei, the Ramathite. And, over that which was in the vineyards, for the treasuries of wine, was Zabdi, the Shiphmite.
28 E dos olivais e figueirais que havia nas campinas, Baal-Hanã gederita; e dos armazéns do azeite, Joás;
And, over the olive-trees and the sycamore-trees that were in the lowland, was Baal-hanan the Gederite. And, over the treasuries of oil, was Joash.
29 Das vacas que pastavam em Sarom, Sitrai saronita; e das vacas que estavam nos vales, Safate filho de Adlai;
And, over the herds that pastured in Sharon, was Shitrai, the Sharonite. And, over the herds in the vales, Shaphat, son of Adlai.
30 E dos camelos, Obil ismaelita; e das asnas, Jedias meronotita;
And, over the camels, was Obil, the Ishmaelite. And, over the asses, was Jehdeyahu the Meronothite.
31 E das ovelhas, Jaziz hagareno. Todos estes eram superintendentes da riqueza do rei Davi.
And, over the flocks, was Jaziz, the Hagrite. All these, were rulers over the possessions that belonged to King David.
32 E Jônatas, tio de Davi, era conselheiro, homem prudente e escriba; e Jeiel filho de Hacmoni estava com os filhos do rei.
And, Jonathan the relative of David, was a counsellor, a man of understanding and a scribe, was he. And, Jehiel son of Hachmoni, was with the sons of the king.
33 E também Aitofel era conselheiro do rei; e Husai arquita amigo do rei.
And, Ahitophel, was counsellor to the king. And, Hushai the Archite, was the companion of the king.
34 Depois de Aitofel era Joiada filho de Benaia, e Abiatar. E Joabe era o general do exército do rei.
And, after Ahitophel, was Jehoiada son of Benaiah—and Abiathar. And, the captain of the king’s army, was Joab.
