1 Crônicas 23
1 Sendo, pois, Davi já velho e farto de dias, fez a Salomão seu filho rei sobre Israel.
And when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.
2 E juntando a todos os principais de Israel, e a os sacerdotes e levitas,
And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.
3 Foram contados os levitas de trinta anos acima; e foi o número deles por suas cabeças, contados um a um, trinta e oito mil.
And then were numbered the Levites from thirty years old and upward: and their number by their polls, of men, was thirty and eight thousand.
4 Destes, vinte e quatro mil para dar pressa à obra da casa do SENHOR; e governadores e juízes, seis mil;
Of these were twenty and four thousand to superintend the work of the house of the Lord; and six thousand were officers and judges;
5 Ademais quatro mil porteiros; e quatro mil para louvar a o SENHOR, disse Davi, com os instrumentos que fiz para render louvores.
And four thousand were gatekeepers: and four thousand those who praised the Lord with the instruments which I have made, to praise therewith.
6 E repartiu-os Davi em ordens conforme a os filhos de Levi, Gérson e Coate e Merari.
And David divided them into divisions after the sons of Levi, after Gershon, Kehath, and Merari.
7 Os filhos de Gérson: Ladã, e Simei.
Of the Gershunites: La'dan, and Shim'i.
8 Os filhos de Ladã, três: Jeiel o primeiro, depois Zetã e Joel.
The sons of La'dan: The chief was Jechiel, and Zetham, and Joel, three.
9 Os filhos de Simei, três: Selomote, Haziel, e Harã. Estes foram os príncipes das famílias de Ladã.
The sons of Shim'i: Shelomith, and Chaziel, and Haran, three. These were the chiefs of the families of La'dan.
10 E os filhos de Simei: Jaate, Zina, Jeus, e Berias. Estes quatro foram os filhos de Simei.
And the sons of Shim'i were, Jachath, Zina, and Je'ush, and Beri'ah. These four were the sons of Shim'i.
11 Jaate era o primeiro, Zina o segundo; mas Jeus e Berias não multiplicaram em filhos, por o qual foram contados por uma família.
And Jachath was the chief, and Zizah the second; but Je'ush and Beri'ah had not many sons: therefore were they accounted as one family division in the numbering.
12 Os filhos de Coate: Anrão, Izar, Hebrom, e Uziel, eles quatro.
The sons of Kehath: 'Amram, Yizhar, Hebron, and 'Uzziel, four.
13 Os filhos de Anrão: Arão e Moisés. E Arão foi apartado para ser dedicado às mais santas coisas, ele e seus filhos para sempre, para que queimassem perfumes diante do SENHOR, e lhe ministrassem, e bendisessem em seu nome, para sempre.
The sons of 'Amram, Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was set apart, to sanctify him as most holy, he with his sons for ever, to burn incense before the Lord, to minister unto him, and to bless in his name for ever.
14 E os filhos de Moisés, homem de Deus, foram contados na tribo de Levi.
But as regardeth Moses the man of God, his sons were named after the tribe of Levi.
15 Os filhos de Moisés foram Gérson e Eliézer.
The sons of Moses were, Gershom, and Eli'ezer.
16 Filho de Gérson foi Sebuel o primeiro.
Of the sons of Gershom, Shebuel was the chief.
17 E filho de Eliézer foi Reabias o primeiro. E Eliézer não teve outros filhos; mas os filhos de Reabias foram muitos.
And the sons of Eli'ezer were, Rechahyah the chief. And Eli'ezer had no other sons; but the sons of Rechahyah became exceedingly numerous.
18 Filho de Izar foi Selomite o primeiro.
Of the sons of Yizhar, was Shelomith the chief.
19 Os filhos de Hebrom: Jería o primeiro, Amarias o segundo, Jaaziel o terceiro, e Jecameão o quarto.
The sons of Hebron: Jeriyahu the chief, Amaryah the second, Jachaziel the third, and Jekam'am the fourth.
20 Os filhos de Uziel: Mica o primeiro, e Issias o segundo.
The sons of 'Uzziel: Michah the chief, and Yishiyah the second.
21 Os filhos de Merari: Mali e Musi. Os filhos de Mali: Eleazar e Quis.
The sons of Merari: Machli, and Mushi. The sons of Machli: El'azar, and Kish.
22 E morreu Eleazar sem filhos, mas teve filhas; e os filhos de Quis, seus irmãos, as tomaram por mulheres.
And El'azar died, and had no sons, but daughters; and the sons of Kish, their brethren, took them [for wives].
23 Os filhos de Musi: Mali, Éder e Jeremote, eles três.
The sons of Mushi: Machli, and 'Eder, and Jeremoth, three.
24 Estes são os filhos de Levi nas famílias de seus pais, cabeceiras de famílias em suas linhagens, contados por seus nomes, por suas cabeças, os quais faziam obra no ministério da casa do SENHOR, de vinte anos acima.
These were the sons of Levi after their family divisions, even the chiefs of the families, as they were counted by numbering the names after their polls, that did the work for the service of the house of the Lord, from twenty years old and upward.
25 Porque Davi disse: o SENHOR Deus de Israel há dado repouso a seu povo Israel, e o habitar em Jerusalém para sempre.
For David said, The Lord the God of Israel hath given rest unto his people, and he dwelleth in Jerusalem for evermore.
26 E também os levitas não levarão mais o tabernáculo, e todos seus vasos para seu ministério.
And also the Levites are no more bound to carry the tabernacle, and all its vessels for the service thereof.
27 Assim que, conforme as últimas palavras de Davi, foi a contagem dos filhos de Levi de vinte anos acima.
Therefore by the last words of David were there numbered of the Levites those who were from twenty years old and above;
28 E estavam sob a mão dos filhos de Arão, para ministrar na casa do SENHOR, nos átrios e nas câmaras, e na purificação de toda coisa santificada, e na demais obra do ministério da casa de Deus;
Because their station was to be at the side of the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the Lord, in the courts, and in the chambers, and by the purification of all holy things, and the work of the service of the house of God;
29 Assim para os pães da proposição, e para a flor da farinha para o sacrifício, e para os pães sem levedura, e para as coisas postas em panelas, e para o tostado, e para toda medida e conta;
And for the shew-bread, which was put in rows, and for the fine flour for meat-offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for that which is baked in the pan, and for that which is sodden, and for all manner of dry and wet measure;
30 E para que assistissem cada manhã todos os dias a confessar e louvar a o SENHOR, e assim à tarde;
And to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord, and so also at evening,
31 E para oferecer todos os holocaustos a o SENHOR os sábados, novas luas, e solenidades, por a conta e forma que tinham, continuamente diante do SENHOR.
And at all the offering of burnt-offerings unto the Lord on the sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the appointed feasts, according to the number, and after the manner prescribed for them, continually before the Lord;
32 E para que tivessem a guarda do tabernáculo do testemunho, e a guarda do santuário, e as ordens dos filhos de Arão seus irmãos, no ministério da casa do SENHOR.
And that they should keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, in the service of the house of the Lord.
