Apocalipse 11
1 E foi-me dada uma cana semelhante a uma vara: e chegou o anjo, e disse: Levanta-te, e mede o templo de Deus, e o altar, e os que nele adoram.
Then I was given a measure like a rod, and a voice said to me – “Go and measure the Temple of God and the altar, and count the worshiper there.
2 Porém deixa de fora o átrio que está fora do templo, e não o meças; porque foi dado às nações, e pisarão a santa cidade por quarenta e dois meses.
But omit the court outside the Temple, and do not measure that, for it has been given up to the nations; and the holy City will be under their heel for forty-two months.
3 E darei poder às minhas duas testemunhas, e profetizarão por mil duzentos e sessenta dias, vestidas de saco.
Then I will give permission to my Two Witnesses, and for those twelve hundred and sixty days they will continue teaching, clothed in sackcloth.”
4 Estas são as duas oliveiras e os dois castiçais que estão diante do Deus da terra.
These men are represented by the two olive trees and the two lamps that stand before the Lord of the earth.
5 E, se alguém os quizer empecer, fogo sairá da sua boca, e devorará os seus inimigos: e, se alguém quizer empece-los, importa que assim seja morto.
When anyone wishes to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and consumes their enemies; and whoever wishes to harm them will, in this way, inevitably perish.
6 Estes tem poder para fechar o céu, para que não chova, nos dias da sua profecia; e tem poder sobre as águas para converte-las em sangue, e para ferir a terra com toda a sorte de praga, todas quantas vezes quizerem.
These men have the power to close the heavens, so that no rain may fall during the time that they are teaching; and they have power to turn the streams into blood, and to smite the land with any curse, whenever they will.
7 E, quando acabarem o seu testemunho, a besta que sobe do abismo lhes fará guerra, e os vencerá, e os matará. (Abyssos g12)
As soon as they have completed their testimony, the wild Beast that ascends from the bottomless pit will make war on them and conquer and kill them. (Abyssos g12)
8 E jazerão os seus corpos mortos na praça da grande cidade que espiritualmente se chama Sodoma e Egito, onde nosso Senhor também foi crucificado.
Their dead bodies will lie in the streets of the great city, which is mystically spoken of as “Sodom” and “Egypt,” where their Master was crucified.
9 E homens de vários povos, e tribos, e línguas, e nações verão seus corpos mortos por três dias e meio, e não permitirão que os seus corpos mortos sejam postos em sepulcros.
People of all nations, and tribes, and languages, and races look at their dead bodies for three days and a half, and do not allow them to be laid in a grave.
10 E os que habitam na terra se regozijarão sobre eles, e se alegrarão, e mandarão presentes uns aos outros; porquanto estes dois profetas tinham atormentado os que habitam sobre a terra.
Those who live on the earth rejoice over them and are merry, and they will send presents to one another, because these two prophets brought torments on those who live on the earth.
11 E depois daqueles três dias e meio o espírito da vida, vindo de Deus, entrou neles; e puseram-se sobre seus pés, e caiu grande temor sobre os que os viram.
After three days and a half the life-giving breath of God entered these men, and they stood up on their feet, and a great terror took possession of those who were watching them.
12 E ouviram uma grande voz do céu, que lhes dizia: Subi cá. E subiram ao céu em uma nuvem: e os seus inimigos os viram.
The two men heard a loud voice from heaven which said to them – “Come up here,” and they went up to heaven in the cloud, while their enemies watched them.
13 E naquela mesma hora houve um grande terremoto, e caiu a décima parte da cidade, e no terremoto foram mortos sete mil homens; e os demais ficaram muito atemorizados, e deram glória ao Deus do céu.
At that very time a great earthquake occurred. A tenth part of the city fell, and seven thousand people perished in the earthquake. Those who escaped were much terrified, and praised the God of heaven.
14 É passado o segundo ai; eis que o terceiro ai vem presto.
The second Woe has passed; and there is a third Woe soon to follow!
15 E tocou o sétimo anjo a sua trombeta, e houve no céu grandes vozes, que diziam: Os reinos do mundo tornaram-se no reino de nosso Senhor e do seu Cristo, e ele reinará para todo o sempre. (aiōn g165)
Then the seventh angel blew; and loud voices were heard in heaven saying – “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever.” (aiōn g165)
16 E os vinte e quatro anciãos, que estão assentados em seus tronos diante de Deus, prostraram-se sobre seus rostos, e adoraram a Deus,
At this the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, prostrated themselves on their faces and worshiped him,
17 Dizendo: Graças te damos, Senhor Deus Todo-poderoso, que és, e que eras, e que as de vir, que tomaste o teu grande poder, e reinaste.
saying – “We thank you, Lord, our God, the Almighty, who is and who was, that you have assumed your great power and reigned.
18 E iraram-se as nações, e veio a tua ira, e o tempo dos mortos, para que sejam julgados, e para dares o galardão aos profetas, teus servos, e aos santos, e aos que temem o teu nome, a pequenos e a grandes, e para destruir os que destroem a terra.
The nations were enraged, and your wrath fell on them; the time came for the dead to be judged, and for you to give the reward to your servants the prophets, and to the people of Christ, and to those who honour your name – the high and the low alike – and to destroy those who are destroying the earth.”
19 E abriu-se no céu o templo de Deus, e a arca do seu concerto foi vista no seu templo; e houve relâmpagos, e vozes, e trovões, e terremotos e grande saraiva.
Then the Temple of God in heaven was opened, and the ark containing his covenant was seen in his Temple; and there followed flashes of lightning, cries, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and a great storm of hail.
