Salmos 99

1 O Senhor reina; tremam as nações: está assentado entre os cherubins; comova-se a terra.

A Psalm of David. The Lord reigns; —let the people rage; [it is he] that sits upon the cherubs, let the earth be moved.

2 O Senhor é grande em Sião, e mais alto do que todas as nações.

The Lord is great in Sion, and is high over all the people.

3 Louvem o teu nome, grande e tremendo, pois é santo.

Let them give thanks to your great name; for it is terrible and holy.

4 Também o poder do Rei ama o juízo: tu firmas a equidade, fazes juízo e justiça em Jacob.

And the king's honour loves judgement; you have prepared equity, you have wrought judgement and justice in Jacob.

5 Exaltai ao Senhor nosso Deus, e prostrai-vos diante do escabelo de seus pés, pois é santo.

Exalt you the Lord our God, and worship [at] his footstool; for he is holy.

6 Moisés e Aarão, entre os seus sacerdotes, e Samuel entre os que invocam o seu nome, clamavam ao Senhor, e ele os ouvia.

Moses and Aaron amongst his priests, and Samuel amongst them that call upon his name; they called upon the Lord, and he heard them.

7 Na coluna de nuvem lhes falava: eles guardavam os seus testemunhos, e os estatutos que lhes dera.

He spoke to them in a pillar of cloud; they kept his testimonies, and the ordinances which he gave them.

8 Tu os escutaste, Senhor nosso Deus: tu foste um Deus que lhes perdoaste, ainda que tomaste vingança dos seus feitos.

O Lord our God, you heard them; O God, you became propitious to them, though you did take vengeance on all their devices.

9 Exaltai ao Senhor nosso Deus e adorai-o no seu monte santo, pois o Senhor nosso Deus é santo.

Exalt you the Lord our God, and worship at his holy mountain; for the Lord our God is holy.
