Salmos 94
1 Ó Senhor Deus, a quem a vingança pertence, ó Deus, a quem a vingança pertence, mostra-te resplandecente.
O Lord God the auenger, O God the auenger, shewe thy selfe clearely.
2 Exalta-te, tu, que és juiz da terra: dá a paga aos soberbos.
Exalt thy selfe, O Iudge of the worlde, and render a reward to the proude.
3 Até quando os ímpios, Senhor, até quando os ímpios saltarão de prazer?
Lord how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?
4 Até quando proferirão, e falarão coisas duras, e se glóriarão todos os que obram a iniquidade?
They prate and speake fiercely: all the workers of iniquitie vaunt themselues.
5 Reduzem a pedaços o teu povo, e afligem a tua herança.
They smite downe thy people, O Lord, and trouble thine heritage.
6 Matam a viúva e o estrangeiro, e ao órfão tiram a vida.
They slay the widowe and the stranger, and murder the fatherlesse.
7 Contudo dizem: O Senhor não o verá; nem para isso atenderá o Deus de Jacob.
Yet they say, The Lord shall not see: neither will the God of Iaakob regard it.
8 Atendei, ó brutais dentre o povo; e vós, loucos, quando sereis sábios?
Vnderstande ye vnwise among the people: and ye fooles, when will ye be wise?
9 Aquele que fez o ouvido não ouvirá? e o que formou o olho não verá?
Hee that planted the eare, shall hee not heare? or he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
10 Aquele que argue as gentes não castigará? e o que ensina ao homem o conhecimento não saberá?
Or he that chastiseth the nations, shall he not correct? hee that teacheth man knowledge, shall he not knowe?
11 O Senhor conhece os pensamentos do homem, que são vaidade.
The Lord knoweth the thoughtes of man, that they are vanitie.
12 Bem-aventurado é o homem aquém tu castigas, ó Senhor, e a quem ensinas a tua lei;
Blessed is the man, whom thou chastisest, O Lord, and teachest him in thy Lawe,
13 Para lhe dares descanço dos dias maus, até que se abra a cova para o ímpio.
That thou mayest giue him rest from the dayes of euill, whiles the pitte is digged for the wicked.
14 Pois o Senhor não rejeitará o seu povo, nem desamparará a sua herança.
Surely the Lord will not faile his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.
15 Mas o juízo voltará à retidão, e segui-lo-ão todos os retos do coração.
For iudgement shall returne to iustice, and all the vpright in heart shall follow after it.
16 Quem será por mim contra os malfeitores? quem se porá por mim contra os que obram a iniquidade?
Who will rise vp with me against the wicked? or who will take my part against the workers of iniquitie?
17 Se o Senhor não tivera ido em meu auxílio, a minha alma quase que teria ficado no silêncio.
If the Lord had not holpen me, my soule had almost dwelt in silence.
18 Quando eu disse: O meu pé vacila; a tua benignidade, Senhor, me susteve.
When I said, My foote slideth, thy mercy, O Lord, stayed me.
19 Na multidão dos meus pensamentos dentro de mim, as tuas consolações recrearam a minha alma.
In the multitude of my thoughts in mine heart, thy comfortes haue reioyced my soule.
20 Porventura o trono de iniquidade te acompanha, o qual forja o mal por uma lei?
Hath the throne of iniquitie fellowship with thee, which forgeth wrong for a Lawe?
21 Eles se ajuntam contra a alma do justo, e condenam o sangue inocente.
They gather them together against the soule of the righteous, and condemne the innocent blood.
22 Mas o Senhor é a minha defesa; e o meu Deus é a rocha do meu refúgio.
But the Lord is my refuge, and my God is the rocke of mine hope.
23 E trará sobre eles a sua própria iniquidade; e os destruirá na sua própria malícia: o Senhor nosso Deus os destruirá.
And hee will recompence them their wickednes, and destroy them in their owne malice: yea, the Lord our God shall destroy them.
