Salmos 76
1 Conhecido é Deus em Judá: grande é o seu nome em Israel.
For the Leader; with string-music. A Psalm of Asaph, a Song. In Judah is God known; His name is great in Israel.
2 E em Salém está o seu tabernáculo, e a sua morada em Sião.
In Salem also is set His tabernacle, and His dwelling-place in Zion.
3 Ali quebrou as flechas do arco; o escudo, e a espada e a guerra (Selah)
There He broke the fiery shafts of the bow; the shield, and the sword, and the battle. (Selah)
4 Tu és mais ilustre, ó glorioso, do que os montes de preza.
Glorious art Thou and excellent, coming down from the mountains of prey.
5 Os que são ousados de coração são despojados; dormiram o seu sono, e nenhum dos homens de força achou as suas mãos
The stout-hearted are bereft of sense, they sleep their sleep; and none of the men of might have found their hands.
6 Á tua repreensão, ó Deus de Jacob, carros e cavalos são lançados num sono profundo.
At Thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, they are cast into a dead sleep, the riders also and the horses.
7 Tu, tu és terrível; e quem subsistirá à tua vista, uma vez que te irares?
Thou, even Thou, art terrible; and who may stand in Thy sight when once Thou art angry?
8 Desde os céus fizeste ouvir o teu juízo; a terra tremeu e se aquietou,
Thou didst cause sentence to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,
9 Quando Deus se levantou para fazer juízo, para livrar a todos os mansos da terra (Selah)
When God arose to judgment, to save all the humble of the earth. (Selah)
10 Porque a colera do homem redundará em teu louvor; o restante da colera tu o restringirás.
Surely the wrath of man shall praise Thee; the residue of wrath shalt Thou gird upon Thee.
11 Fazei votos, e pagai ao Senhor, vosso Deus: tragam presentes, os que estão em redor dele, àquele que é tremendo.
Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God; let all that are round about Him bring presents unto Him that is to be feared;
12 Ele ceifará o espírito dos príncipes: é tremendo para com os reis da terra.
He minisheth the spirit of princes; He is terrible to the kings of the earth.
