Salmos 37
1 Não te indignes por causa dos malfeitores, nem tenhas inveja dos que obram a iniquidade.
David’s. [An Alphabetical Psalm.] Burn not with vexation because of evil-doers, Be not envious of the workers of perversity;
2 Porque cedo serão ceifados como a erva, e murcharão como a verdura.
For, like grass, soon shall they wither, and, like green herbage, shall they fade.
3 Confia no Senhor e faze o bem; habitarás na terra, e verdadeiramente serás alimentado.
Trust in Yahweh, and do good, Dwell in the land, and feed on fidelity;
4 Deleita-te também no Senhor, e te concederá os desejos do teu coração.
Yea, rest thy delight on Yahweh, that he may give thee the requests of thy heart.
5 Entrega o teu caminho ao Senhor; confia nele, e ele o fará.
Roll on Yahweh thy way, Trust also in him, and, he, will effectually work:
6 E ele fará sobresair a tua justiça como a luz, e o teu juízo como o meio dia.
So will he bring forth, as the light, thy righteousness, and thy vindication as the noonday.
7 Descança no Senhor, e espera nele; não te indignes por causa daquele que prospera em seu caminho, por causa do homem que executa astutos intentos.
Be resigned to Yahweh, yea wait with longing for him; Burn not with vexation at him who prospereth in his way, —at the man who doeth wickedness.
8 Deixa a ira, e abandona o furor: não te indignes para fazer somente o mal.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath, Burn not with vexation—[it would be] only to do evil;
9 Porque os malfeitores serão desarreigados; mas aqueles que esperam no Senhor herdarão a terra.
For, evil doers, shall be cut off, but, as for them who wait for Yahweh, they, shall inherit the earth.
10 Pois ainda um pouco, e o ímpio não existirá; olharás para o seu lugar, e não aparecerá.
Yet a little, therefore, and the lawless one shall not be, Yea thou shalt look about, over his place—and he shall have vanished!
11 Mas os mansos herdarão a terra, e se deleitarão na abundância de paz.
But, the patient oppressed-ones, shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves over the abundance of prosperity.
12 O ímpio maquina contra o justo, e contra ele range os dentes.
Plotting is the lawless one, against the just, and gnashing upon him with his teeth.
13 O Senhor se rirá dele, pois vê que vem chegando o seu dia.
My Lord, shall laugh at him, for he seeth, that his day, will come.
14 Os ímpios puxaram da espada e entesaram o arco, para derribarem o pobre e necessitado, e para matarem os de reta conversação.
A sword, have the lawless, drawn out, and have trodden their bow, —To bring down the oppressed and the needy, To slaughter the upright in life:
15 Porém a sua espada lhes entrará no coração, e os seus arcos se quebrarão.
Their sword, shall enter into their own heart, and, their bow, shall be broken.
16 Vale mais o pouco que tem o justo, do que as riquezas de muitos ímpios.
Better the little of the righteous man, than the abundance of the lawless who are mighty;
17 Pois os braços dos ímpios se quebrarão, mas o Senhor sustem os justos.
For, the arms of the lawless, shall be broken, But Yahweh is upholding the righteous.
18 O Senhor conhece os dias dos retos, e a sua herança permanecerá para sempre.
Yahweh knoweth the days of the blameless, that, their inheritance, unto times age-abiding, shall continue.
19 Não serão envergonhados nos dias maus, e nos dias de fome se fartarão.
They shall not be ashamed in the time of calamity, and, in the days of famine, shall they be filled.
20 Mas os ímpios perecerão, e os inimigos do Senhor serão como a gordura dos cordeiros; desaparecerão, e em fumo se desfarão.
For, the lawless, shall perish, and, the foes of Yahweh, be like the glory of the meadows, They have vanished! In smoke, have they vanished!
21 O ímpio toma emprestado, e não paga; mas o justo se compadece, e dá.
A lawless man borroweth, and will not repay, But, a righteous man, showeth favour and giveth;
22 Porque aqueles que ele abençoa herdarão a terra, e aqueles que forem por ele amaldiçoados serão desarreigados.
For, such as are blessed of him, shall inherit the earth, But, the cursed of him, shall be cut off.
23 Os passos de um homem bom são confirmados pelo Senhor, e deleita-se no seu caminho.
From Yahweh, are the steps of a man made firm, When, with his way, he is well pleased:
24 Ainda que caia, não ficará prostrado, pois o Senhor o sustem com a sua mão.
Though he fall, he shall not be hurled headlong, For, Yahweh, is holding his hand.
25 Fui moço, e agora sou velho; mas nunca vi desamparado o justo, nem a sua semente a mendigar o pão.
Young, have I been, moreover am old, —Yet have I not seen, A righteous man forsaken, Nor his seed begging bread:
26 Compadece-se sempre, e empresta, e a sua semente é abençoada.
All day long, is he showing favour and lending, his seed, therefore, shall have a blessing.
27 Aparta-te do mal e faze o bem; e habita para sempre.
Turn from evil, and do good, and so settle down, unto times age-abiding.
28 Porque o Senhor ama o juízo e não desampara os seus santos; eles são preservados para sempre; mas a semente dos ímpios será desarreigada.
For, Yahweh, loveth justice, and will not forsake his men of lovingkindness, Unto times age-abiding, have the perverse been destroyed, —and the seed of the lawless, been cut off.
29 Os justos herdarão a terra e habitarão nela para sempre.
The righteous, shall inherit the earth, that they may settle down, to futurity, thereupon.
30 A boca do justo fala a sabedoria: a sua língua fala do juízo.
The mouth of a righteous man, softly uttereth wisdom, and, his tongue, speaketh justice:
31 A lei do seu Deus está em seu coração; os seus passos não resvalarão.
The law of his God, is in his heart, his steps shall not swerve.
32 O ímpio espreita ao justo, e procura mata-lo.
The lawless man, lieth in wait, for the just, and seeketh to put him to death:
33 O Senhor não o deixará em suas mãos, nem o condenará quando for julgado.
Yahweh, will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him, when he is judged.
34 Espera no Senhor, e guarda o seu caminho, e te exaltará para herdares a terra: tu o verás quando os ímpios forem desarreigados.
Wait for Yahweh, and observe thou his path, that he may exalt thee, to inherit the earth, On the cutting off of the lawless, shalt thou look.
35 Vi o ímpio com grande poder espalhar-se como a árvore verde na terra natal.
I have seen a lawless man, a tyrant, and spreading himself out, like a cedar in Lebanon;
36 Mas passou e já não aparece: procurei-o, mas não se pôde encontrar.
Then I passed by, and lo! he had vanished! Yea I sought him, but he could not be found.
37 Nota o homem sincero, e considera o reto, porque o fim desse homem é a paz.
Mark the blameless man, and behold the upright, for there is a hereafter for the man of peace;
38 Enquanto aos transgressores serão à uma destruídos, e as relíquias dos ímpios serão destruídas.
But, transgressors, are to be destroyed together, the hereafter of lawless men, is to be cut off.
39 Mas a salvação dos justos vem do Senhor; ele é a sua fortaleza no tempo da angústia.
But, the deliverance of the righteous, is from Yahweh, their refuge in a time of distress.
40 E o Senhor os ajudará e os livrará; ele os livrará dos ímpios e os salvará, porquanto confiam nele.
Thus hath Yahweh helped them, thus hath he delivered them, —He will deliver them from the lawless, and will save them, because they have sought refuge in him.
