Salmos 149

1 Louvai ao Senhor. cantai ao Senhor um cântico novo, e o seu louvor na congregação dos santos.

Hallelujah. Sing to the Lord a new song, sound his praise where the faithful are gathered.

2 Alegre-se Israel naquele que o fez, gozem-se os filhos de Sião no seu rei.

Let Israel rejoice in its maker, sons of Zion exult in their king.

3 Louvem o seu nome com flauta; cantem-lhe o seu louvor com adufe e harpa.

Let them praise his name in the dance, making music with lyre and with timbrel.

4 Porque o Senhor se agrada do seu povo; ornará os mansos com a salvação.

For the Lord delights in his people, adorning the humble with victory.

5 Exultem os santos na glória, alegrem-se nas suas camas.

Let the faithful exult and extol him with glad ringing cries all night long.

6 Estejam na sua garganta os altos louvores de Deus, e espada de dois fios nas suas mãos,

High praises of God in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand:

7 Para tomarem vingança das nações, e darem repreensões aos povos;

on the heathen to execute vengeance, and chastisement sore on the nations,

8 Para aprisionarem os seus reis com cadeias, e os seus nobres com grilhões de ferro;

binding their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron,

9 Para fazerem neles o juízo escrito; esta será a glória de todos os santos. louvai ao Senhor.
