Salmos 146

1 Louvai ao Senhor. Ó alma minha, louva ao Senhor.

Halleluyah ·praise Yah·! Praise Adonai, my soul.

2 Louvarei ao Senhor durante a minha vida; cantarei louvores ao meu Deus enquanto eu for vivo.

While I live, I will praise Adonai. I will sing zahmar ·musical praise· to my God as long as I exist.

3 Não confieis em príncipes, nem no filho do homem, em quem não há salvação.

Don’t put your trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help.

4 Sai-lhe o espírito, volta para a terra: naquele mesmo dia perecem os seus pensamentos.

His spirit departs, and he teshuvah ·completely returns· to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish.

5 Bem-aventurado aquele que tem o Deus de Jacob por seu auxílio, e cuja esperança está posta no Senhor seu Deus.

Happy is he who has the God of Jacob [Supplanter] for his help, whose hope is in Adonai, his God:

6 O que fez os céus e a terra, o mar e tudo quanto há neles, e o que guarda a verdade para sempre;

who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever;

7 O que faz justiça aos oprimidos, o que dá pão aos famintos. O Senhor solta os encarcerados.

who executes mishpat ·justice· for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. Adonai frees the prisoners.

8 O Senhor abre os olhos aos cegos: O Senhor levanta os abatidos: o Senhor ama os justos.

Adonai opens the eyes of the blind. Adonai raises up those who are bowed down. Adonai 'ahav ·affectionately loves· the upright.

9 O Senhor guarda os estrangeiros: sustem o órfão e a viúva, mas transtorna o caminho dos ímpios.

Adonai preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, but the way of the wicked he turns upside down.

10 O Senhor reinará eternamente; o teu Deus, ó Sião, é de geração em geração. louvai ao Senhor.

Adonai will reign forever; your God, O Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking], to all generations. Halleluyah ·praise Yah·!
