Salmos 13

1 Até quando te esquecerás de mim, Senhor? para sempre? até quando esconderás de mim o teu rosto?

For the chief musician. A psalm of David. How long, Yahweh, will you keep forgetting about me? How long will you hide your face from me?

2 Até quando consultarei com a minha alma, tendo tristeza no meu coração cada dia? Até quando se exaltará sobre mim o meu inimigo?

How long must I worry and have grief in my heart all day? How long will my enemy triumph over me?

3 Atende-me, ouve-me, ó Senhor meu Deus; alumia os meus olhos para que eu não adormeça na morte;

Look at me and answer me, Yahweh my God! Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death.

4 Para que o meu inimigo não diga: Prevaleci contra ele; e os meus adversários se não alegrem, vindo eu a vacilar.

Do not let my enemy say, “I have defeated him,” so that my enemy may not say, “I have prevailed over my adversary”; otherwise, my enemies will rejoice when I am brought down.

5 Mas eu confio na tua benignidade: na tua salvação se alegrará o meu coração.

But I have trusted in your covenant faithfulness; my heart rejoices in your salvation.

6 Cantarei ao Senhor, porquanto me tem feito muito bem.

I will sing to Yahweh because he has treated me very generously.
