Salmos 101

1 Cantarei a misericórdia e o juízo: a ti, Senhor, cantarei.

A Psalme of David. I will sing mercie and iudgement: vnto thee, O Lord, will I sing.

2 Portar-me-ei com inteligência no caminho reto. Quando virás a mim? Andarei em minha casa com um coração sincero.

I will doe wisely in the perfite way, till thou commest to me: I will walke in the vprightnes of mine heart in the middes of mine house.

3 Não porei coisa má diante dos meus olhos: aborreço a obra daqueles que se desviam; não se me pegará a mim.

I wil set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the worke of them that fall away: it shall not cleaue vnto me.

4 Um coração perverso se apartará de mim: não conhecerei o homem mau

A froward heart shall depart from me: I will knowe none euill.

5 Aquele que murmura do seu próximo às escondidas, eu o destruirei: aquele que tem olhar altivo, e coração soberbo, não sofrerei.

Him that priuily slandereth his neighbour, wil I destroy: him that hath a proude looke and hie heart, I cannot suffer.

6 Os meus olhos estarão sobre os fieis da terra, para que se assentem comigo: o que anda num caminho reto esse me servirá.

Mine eyes shalbe vnto the faithfull of the lande, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfite way, he shall serue me.

7 O que usa de engano não ficará dentro da minha casa: o que fala mentiras não está firme perante os meus olhos.

There shall no deceitful person dwell within mine house: he that telleth lyes, shall not remaine in my sight.

8 Pela manhã destruirei todos os ímpios da terra, para desarreigar da cidade do Senhor todos os que obram a iniquidade.

Betimes will I destroy all the wicked of the land, that I may cut off all the workers of iniquitie from the Citie of the Lord.
