1 Falou mais o Senhor a Moisés no deserto de Sinai, na tenda da congregação, no primeiro dia do mês segundo no segundo ano da sua saída da terra do Egito, dizendo:
And the Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai in the tabernacle of the covenant, the first day of the second month, the second year of their going out of Egypt, saying:
2 Tomai a soma de toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel, segundo as suas gerações, segundo a casa de seus pais, no número dos nomes de todo o macho, cabeça por cabeça;
Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel by their families, and houses, and the names of every one, as many as are of the male sex,
3 Da idade de vinte anos e para cima, todos os que saem à guerra em Israel: a estes contareis segundo os seus exércitos, tu e Aarão.
From twenty years old and upwards, of all the men of Israel fit for war, and you shall number them by their troops, thou and Aaron.
4 Estará convosco de cada tribo um homem que seja cabeça da casa de seus pais,
And there shall be with you the princes of the tribes, and of the houses in their kindreds,
5 Estes pois são os nomes dos homens que estarão convosco: De Ruben, Elizur, filho de Sedeur;
Whose names are these: Of Ruben, Elisur the son of Sedeur.
6 De Simeão, Selumiel, filho de Surisaddai;
Of Simeon, Salamiel the son of Surisaddai.
7 De Judá, Naasson, filho de Amminadab;
Of Juda, Nahasson the son of Aminadab.
8 De issacar, Nathanael, filho de Suhar;
Of Issachar, Nathanael the son of Suar.
9 De Zebulon, Eliab, filho de Helon;
Of Zabulon, Eliab the son of Helon.
10 Dos filhos de José: de Ephraim; Elisama, filho de Ammihud; de Manasseh, Gamaliel, filho de Pedazur;
And of the sons of Joseph: of Ephraim, Elisama the son of Ammiud: of Manasses, Gamaliel the son of Phadassur.
11 De Benjamin, Abidan, filho de Gideoni;
Of Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gedeon.
12 De Dan, Ahieser, filho de Ammisaddai;
Of Dan, Ahiezer the son of Ammisaddai.
13 De Aser, Pagiel, filho de Ochran;
Of Aser, Phegiel the son of Ochran.
14 De Gad, Eliasaph, filho de Dehuel;
Of Gad, Eliasaph the son of Duel.
15 De Naphtali, Ahira, filho de Enan.
Of Nephtali, Ahira the son of Enan.
16 Estes foram os chamados da congregação, os príncipes das tribos de seus pais, os Cabeças dos milhares de Israel.
These are the most noble princes of the multitude by their tribes and kindreds, and the chiefs of the army of Israel:
17 Então tomaram Moisés e Aarão a estes homens, que foram declarados pelos seus nomes.
Whom Moses and Aaron took with all the multitude of the common people:
18 E ajuntaram toda a congregação no primeiro dia do mês segundo, e declararam a sua descendência segundo as suas famílias, segundo a casa de seus pais, pelo número dos nomes dos de vinte anos e para cima, cabeça por cabeça;
And assembled them on the first day of the second month, reckoning them up by the kindreds, and houses, and families, and heads, and names of every one from twenty years old and upward,
19 Como o Senhor ordenara a Moisés, assim os contou no deserto de Sinai.
As the Lord had commanded Moses. And they were numbered in the desert of Sinai.
20 Foram pois os filhos de Ruben, o primogênito de Israel; as suas gerações pelas suas famílias, segundo a casa de seus pais, pelo número dos nomes, cabeça por cabeça, todo o macho de vinte anos e para cima, todos os que podiam sair à guerra;
Of Ruben the eldest son of Israel, by their generations and families and houses and names of every head, all that were of the male sex, from twenty years old and upward, that were able to go forth to war,
21 Foram contados deles, da tribo de Ruben, quarenta e seis mil e quinhentos.
Were forty-six thousand five hundred.
22 Dos filhos de Simeão, as suas gerações pelas suas famílias, segundo a casa dos seus pais; os seus contados, pelo número dos nomes, cabeça por cabeça, todo o macho de vinte anos e para cima, todos os que podiam sair à guerra,
Of the sons of Simeon by their generations and families, and houses of their kindreds, were reckoned up by the names and heads of every one, all that were of the male sex, from twenty years old and upward, that were able to go forth to war,
23 Foram contados deles, da tribo de Simeão, cincoênta e nove mil e trezentos.
Fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
24 Dos filhos de Gad, as suas gerações pelas suas famílias, segundo a casa de seus pais, pelo número dos nomes dos de vinte anos e para cima, todos os que podiam sair à guerra,
Of the sons of Gad, by their generations and families and houses of their kindreds were reckoned up by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
25 Foram contados deles, da tribo de Gad, quarenta e cinco mil e seiscentos e cincoênta.
Forty-five thousand six hundred and fifty.
26 Dos filhos de Judá, as suas gerações pelas suas famílias, segundo a casa de seus pais; pelo número dos nomes dos de vinte anos e para cima, todos os que podiam sair à guerra,
Of the sons of Juda, by their generations and families and houses of their kindreds, by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
27 Foram contados deles, da tribo de Judá, setenta e quatro mil e seiscentos.
Were reckoned up seventy-four thousand six hundred.
28 Dos filhos de issacar, as suas gerações pelas suas famílias, segundo a casa de seus pais, pelo número dos nomes dos de vinte anos e para cima, todos os que podiam sair à guerra,
Of the sons of Issachar, by their generations and families and houses of their kindreds, by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that could go forth to war,
29 Foram contados deles, da tribo de issacar, cincoênta e quatro mil e quatrocentos.
Were reckoned up fifty-four thousand four hundred.
30 Dos filhos de Zebulon, as suas gerações, pelas suas famílias, segundo a casa de seus pais, pelo número dos nomes dos de vinte anos e para cima, todos os que podiam sair à guerra,
Of the sons of Zabulon, by the generations and families and houses of their kindreds, were reckoned up by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
31 Foram contados deles, da tribo de Zebulon, cincoênta e sete mil e quatrocentos.
Fifty-seven thousand four hundred.
32 Dos filhos de José, dos filhos de Ephraim, as suas gerações, pelas suas famílias, segundo a casa de seus pais, pelo número dos nomes dos de vinte anos e para cima, todos os que podiam sair à guerra,
Of the sons of Joseph, namely, of the sons of Ephraim, by the generations and families and houses of their kindreds, were reckoned up by the names of every one, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
33 Foram contados deles, da tribo de Ephraim, quarenta mil e quinhentos.
Forty thousand five hundred.
34 Dos filhos de Manasseh, as suas gerações, pelas suas famílias, segundo a casa de seus pais, pelo número dos nomes dos de vinte anos e para cima, todos os que podiam sair à guerra,
Moreover of the sons of Manasses, by the generations and families and houses of their kindreds, were reckoned up by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that could go forth to war,
35 Foram contados deles, da tribo de Manasseh, trinta e dois mil e duzentos.
Thirty-two thousand two hundred.
36 Dos filhos de Benjamin, as suas gerações, pelas suas famílias, segundo a casa de seus pais, pelo número dos nomes dos de vinte anos e para cima, todos os que podiam sair à guerra,
Of the sons of Benjamin, by their generations and families and houses of their kindreds, were reckoned up by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
37 Foram contados deles, da tribo de Benjamin, trinta e cinco mil e quatrocentos.
Thirty-five thousand four hundred.
38 Dos filhos de Dan, as suas gerações, pelas suas famílias, segundo a casa de seus pais, pelo número dos nomes dos de vinte anos e para cima, todos os que podiam sair à guerra,
Of the sons of Dan, by their generations and families and houses of their kindreds, were reckoned up by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
39 Foram contados deles, da tribo de Dan, sessenta e dois mil e setecentos.
Sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
40 Dos filhos de Aser, as suas gerações, pelas suas famílias, segundo a casa de seus pais, pelo número dos nomes dos de vinte anos e para cima, todos os que podiam sair à guerra,

41 Foram contados deles, da tribo de Aser, quarenta e um mil e quinhentos.
Forty-one thousand and five hundred.
42 Dos filhos de Naphtali, as suas gerações, pelas suas famílias, segundo a casa de seus pais, pelo número dos nomes dos de vinte anos e para cima, todos os que podiam sair à guerra,
Of the sons of Nephtali, by their generations and families and houses of their kindreds, were reckoned up by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
43 Foram contados deles, da tribo de Naphtali, cincoênta e três mil e quatrocentos.
Fifty-three thousand four hundred.
44 Estes foram os contados, que contou Moisés e Aarão, e os príncipes de Israel, doze homens, cada um era pela casa de seus pais.
These era they who were numbered by Moses and Aaron, and the twelve princes of Israel, every one by the houses of their kindreds.
45 Assim foram todos os contados dos filhos de Israel, segundo a casa de seus pais, de vinte anos e para cima, todos os que podiam sair à guerra em Israel;
And the whole number of the children of Israel by their houses and families, from twenty years old and upward, that were able to go to war,
46 Todos os contados pois foram seiscentos e três mil e quinhentos e cincoênta.
Were six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty men.
47 Mas os levitas, segundo a tribo de seus pais, não foram contados entre eles,
But the Levites in the tribes of their families were not numbered with them.
48 Porquanto o Senhor tinha falado a Moisés, dizendo:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
49 Porém não contarás a tribo de Levi, nem tomarás a soma deles entre os filhos de Israel:
Number not the tribe of Levi, neither shalt thou put down the sum of them with the children of Israel:
50 Mas tu põe os levitas sobre o tabernáculo do testemunho, e sobre todos os seus vasos, e sobre tudo o que pertence a ele: eles levarão o tabernáculo e todos os seus vasos; e eles o administrarão, e assentarão o seu arraial ao redor do tabernáculo.
But appoint them over the tabernacle of the testimony, and all the vessels thereof, and whatsoever pertaineth to the ceremonies. They shall carry the tabernacle and all the furniture thereof: and they shall minister, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.
51 E, quando o tabernáculo partir, os levitas o desarmarão; e, quando o tabernáculo assentar no arraial, os levitas o armarão; e o estranho que se chegar morrerá.
When you are to go forward, the Levites shall take down the tabernacle: when you are to camp, they shall set it up. What stranger soever cometh to it, shall be slain.
52 E os filhos de Israel assentarão as suas tendas, cada um no seu esquadrão, e cada um junto à sua bandeira, segundo os seus exércitos.
And the children of Israel shall camp every man by his troops and bands and army.
53 Mas os levitas assentarão as suas tendas ao redor do tabernáculo do testemunho, para que não haja indignação sobre a congregação dos filhos de Israel, pelo que os levitas terão o cuidado da guarda do tabernáculo do testemunho.
But the Levites shall pitch their tents round about the tabernacle, lest there come indignation upon the multitude of the children of Israel, and they shall keep watch, and guard the tabernacle of the testimony.
54 Assim fizeram os filhos de Israel: conforme a tudo o que o Senhor ordenara a Moisés, assim o fizeram.
And the children of Israel did according to all things which the Lord had commanded Moses.
