Números 8
1 E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
2 Fala a Aarão, e dize-lhe: Quando acenderes as lâmpadas, defronte do candieiro alumiarão as sete lâmpadas.
'Speak unto Aaron, and thou hast said unto him, In thy causing the lights to go up, over-against the face of the candlestick do the seven lights give light.'
3 E Aarão fez assim: defronte da face do candieiro acendeu as suas lâmpadas, como o Senhor ordenara a Moisés.
And Aaron doth so; over-against the face of the candlestick he hath caused its lights to go up, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.
4 E era esta obra do candieiro de ouro batido; desde o seu pé até às suas flores era batido: conforme ao modelo que o Senhor mostrara a Moisés, assim ele fez o candieiro.
And this [is] the work of the candlestick: beaten work of gold; unto its thigh, unto its flower it [is] beaten work; as the appearance which Jehovah shewed Moses, so he hath made the candlestick.
5 E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
6 Toma os levitas do meio dos filhos de Israel, e purifica-os;
'Take the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel, and thou hast cleansed them.
7 E assim lhes farás, para os purificar: Esparge sobre eles a água da expiação; e sobre toda a sua carne farão passar a navalha, e lavarão os seus vestidos, e se purificarão.
'And thus thou dost to them to cleanse them: sprinkle upon them waters of atonement, and they have caused a razor to pass over all their flesh, and have washed their garments, and cleansed themselves,
8 Então tomarão um novilho, com a sua oferta de manjares de flor de farinha amassada com azeite; e tomarás outro novilho, para expiação do pecado.
and have taken a bullock, a son of the herd, and its present, flour mixed with oil, — and a second bullock a son of the herd thou dost take for a sin-offering,
9 E farás chegar os levitas perante a tenda da congregação; e farás ajuntar toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel.
and thou hast brought near the Levites before the tent of meeting, and thou hast assembled the whole company of the sons of Israel,
10 Farás pois chegar os levitas perante o Senhor; e os filhos de Israel porão as suas mãos sobre os levitas.
and thou hast brought near the Levites before Jehovah, and the sons of Israel have laid their hands on the Levites,
11 E Aarão moverá os levitas por oferta de movimento perante o Senhor pelos filhos de Israel; e serão para servirem no ministério do Senhor.
and Aaron hath waved the Levites — a wave-offering before Jehovah, from the sons of Israel, and they have been — for doing the service of Jehovah.
12 E os levitas porão as suas mãos sobre a cabeça dos novilhos: então sacrifica tu um para expiação do pecado, e o outro para holocausto ao Senhor, para fazer expiação sobre os levitas
'And the Levites lay their hands on the head of the bullocks, and make thou the one a sin-offering, and the one a burnt-offering to Jehovah, to atone for the Levites,
13 E porás os levitas perante Aarão, e perante os seus filhos, e os moverás por oferta de movimento ao Senhor.
and thou hast caused the Levites to stand before Aaron, and before his sons, and hast waved them — a wave-offering to Jehovah;
14 E separarás os levitas do meio dos filhos de Israel, para que os levitas meus sejam.
and thou hast separated the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel, and the Levites have become Mine;
15 E depois os levitas entrarão para fazerem o serviço da tenda da congregação: e tu os purificarás, e por oferta de movimento os moverás.
and afterwards do the Levites come in to serve the tent of meeting, and thou hast cleansed them, and hast waved them — a wave-offering.
16 Porquanto eles do meio dos filhos de Israel, me são dados: em lugar de todo aquele que abre a madre, do primogênito de cada qual dos filhos de Israel, para mim os tenho tomado.
'For they are certainly given to Me out of the midst of the sons of Israel, instead of him who openeth any womb — the first-born of all — from the sons of Israel I have taken them to Myself;
17 Porque meu é todo o primogênito entre os filhos de Israel, entre os homens e entre os animais; no dia em que, na terra do Egito, feri a todo o primogênito, os santifiquei para mim.
for Mine [is] every first-born among the sons of Israel, among man and among beast; in the day of my smiting every first-born in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for Myself;
18 E tomei os levitas em lugar de todo o primogênito entre os filhos de Israel.
and I take the Levites instead of every first-born among the sons of Israel:
19 E os levitas, dados a Aarão e a seus filhos, do meio dos filhos de Israel, tenho dado para ministrarem o ministério dos filhos de Israel na tenda da congregação, e para fazer expiação pelos filhos de Israel, para que não haja praga entre os filhos de Israel, chegando-se os filhos de Israel ao santuário.
'And I give the Levites gifts to Aaron and to his sons, from the midst of the sons of Israel, to do the service of the sons of Israel in the tent of meeting, and to make atonement for the sons of Israel, and there is no plague among the sons of Israel in the sons of Israel's drawing nigh unto the sanctuary.'
20 E fez Moisés e Aarão, e toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel, com os levitas assim: conforme a tudo o que o Senhor ordenara a Moisés acerca dos levitas, assim os filhos de Israel lhes fizeram.
And Moses doth — Aaron also, and all the company of the sons of Israel — to the Levites according to all that Jehovah hath commanded Moses concerning the Levites; so have the sons of Israel done to them.
21 E os levitas se purificaram, e lavaram os seus vestidos, e Aarão os moveu por oferta movida perante o Senhor, e Aarão fez expiação por eles, para purifica-los.
And the Levites cleanse themselves, and wash their garments, and Aaron waveth them a wave-offering before Jehovah, and Aaron maketh atonement for them to cleanse them,
22 E depois vieram os levitas, para ministrarem o seu ministério na tenda da congregação, perante Aarão e perante os seus filhos: como o Senhor ordenara a Moisés acerca dos levitas, assim lhes fizeram.
and afterwards have the Levites gone in to do their service in the tent of meeting, before Aaron and before his sons; as Jehovah hath commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they have done to them.
23 E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
24 Isto é o ofício dos levitas: Da idade de vinte e cinco anos e para cima entrarão, para fazerem o serviço no ministério da tenda da congregação;
'This [is] that which [is] the Levites': from a son of five and twenty years and upward he doth go in to serve the host in the service of the tent of meeting,
25 Mas desde a idade de cincoênta anos sairá da milícia deste ministério, e nunca mais servirá:
and from a son of fifty years he doth return from the host of the service, and doth not serve any more,
26 Porém com os seus irmãos servirá na tenda da congregação, para terem cuidado da guarda; porém o ministério não ministrará: assim farás com os levitas nas suas guardas.
and he hath ministered with his brethren in the tent of meeting, to keep the charge, and doth not do service; thus thou dost to the Levites concerning their charge.'
