1 E estas são as gerações de Aarão e de Moisés, no dia em que o Senhor falou com Moisés no monte de Sinai
Now this is the history of the descendants of Aaron and Moses when Yahweh spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai.
2 E estes são os nomes dos filhos de Aarão: o primogênito Nadab; depois Abihu, Eleasar e Ithamar.
The names of Aaron's sons were Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
3 Estes são os nomes dos filhos de Aarão, dos sacerdotes ungidos, cujas mãos foram sagradas para administrar o sacerdócio.
These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests who were anointed and who were ordained to serve as priests.
4 Mas Nadab e Abihu morreram perante o Senhor, quando ofereceram fogo estranho perante o Senhor no deserto de Sinai, e não tiveram filhos: porém Eleasar e Ithamar administraram o sacerdócio diante de Aarão, seu pai.
But Nadab and Abihu fell dead before Yahweh when they offered to him unacceptable fire in the wilderness of Sinai. Nadab and Abihu had no children, so just Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests with Aaron their father.
5 E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
Yahweh spoke to Moses. He said,
6 Faze chegar a tribo de Levi, e põe-na diante de Aarão, o sacerdote, para que o sirvam,
“Bring the tribe of Levi and present them to Aaron the priest for them to help him.
7 E tenham cuidado da sua guarda, e da guarda de toda a congregação, diante da tenda da congregação, para administrar o ministério do tabernáculo.
They must perform the duties on behalf of Aaron and the whole community before the tent of meeting. They must serve in the tabernacle.
8 E tenham cuidado de todos os vasos da tenda da congregação, e da guarda dos filhos de Israel, para administrar o ministério do tabernáculo.
They must care for all the furnishings in the tent of meeting, and they must help the tribes of Israel to carry out the tabernacle service.
9 Darás pois os levitas a Aarão e a seus filhos: dentre os filhos de Israel lhes são dados em dádiva.
You must give the Levites to Aaron and his sons. They are wholly given to help him serve the people of Israel.
10 Mas a Aarão e a seus filhos ordenarás que guardem o seu sacerdócio, e estranho que chegar morrerá.
You must appoint Aaron and his sons as priests, but any foreigner who comes near must be put to death.”
11 E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
Yahweh spoke to Moses. He said,
12 E eu, eis que, tenho tomado os levitas do meio dos filhos de Israel, em lugar de todo o primogênito, que abre a madre, entre os filhos de Israel: e os levitas serão meus.
“Look, I have taken the Levites from among the people of Israel. I have done this instead of taking each firstborn male who is born among the people of Israel. The Levites belong to me.
13 Porque todo o primogênito meu é: desde o dia em que tenho ferido a todo o primogênito na terra do Egito, santifiquei-me todo o primogênito em Israel, desde o homem até ao animal: meus serão; Eu sou o Senhor.
All the firstborn belong to me. On the day that I attacked all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I set apart for myself all the firstborn in Israel, both people and animals. They belong to me. I am Yahweh.”
14 E falou o Senhor a Moisés no deserto de Sinai, dizendo:
Yahweh spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai. He said,
15 Conta os filhos de Levi, segundo a casa de seus pais, pelas suas gerações; contarás a todo o macho da idade de um ano e para cima.
“Count the descendants of Levi in each family, in their clans. Count every male who is one month old and older.”
16 E Moisés os contou conforme ao mandado do Senhor, como lhe foi ordenado.
Moses counted them, following the word of Yahweh, just as he was commanded to do.
17 Estes pois foram os filhos de Levi pelos seus nomes: Gerson, e Kohath e Merari.
The names of Levi's sons were Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
18 E estes são os nomes dos filhos de Gerson pelas suas gerações; Libni e Simei.
The clans coming from Gershon's sons were Libni and Shimei.
19 E os filhos de Kohath pelas suas gerações: Amram, e Jizhar, Hebron e Uziel.
The clans coming from Kohath's sons were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
20 E os filhos de Merari pelas suas gerações: Maheli e Musi: estas são as gerações dos levitas, segundo a casa de seus pais
The clans coming from Merari's sons were Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of the Levites, listed clan by clan.
21 De Gerson é a geração dos libnitas e a geração dos simeitas: estas são as gerações dos gersonitas.
The clans of the Libnites and the Shimeites come from Gershon. These are the clans of the Gershonites.
22 Os que deles foram contados pelo número de todo o macho da idade de um mês e para cima, os que deles foram contados foram sete mil e quinhentos.
All the males from a month old and older were counted, totaling 7,500.
23 As gerações dos gersonitas assentarão as suas tendas atráz do tabernáculo, ao ocidente.
The clans of the Gershonites must camp on the west side of the tabernacle.
24 E o príncipe da casa paterna dos gersonitas será Eliasaph, filho de Lael.
Eliasaph son of Lael must lead the clans of the descendants of the Gershonites.
25 E a guarda dos filhos de Gerson na tenda da congregação será o tabernáculo, e a tenda, a sua coberta, e o véu da porta da tenda da congregação,
The family of Gershon must care for the tent of meeting including the tabernacle. They must care for the tent, its covering, and the curtain used as the entrance to the tent of meeting.
26 E as cortinas do pátio, e o pavilhão da porta do pátio, que estão junto ao tabernáculo e junto ao altar, em redor: como também as suas cordas para todo o seu serviço.
They must care for the courtyard hangings, the curtain at the courtyard entrance—the courtyard that surrounds the sanctuary and the altar. They must care for the ropes of the tent of meeting and for everything in it.
27 E de Kohath é a geração dos amramitas, e a geração dos jiznaritas, e a geração dos hebronitas, e a geração dos hussielitas: estas são as gerações dos kohathitas.
These clans come from Kohath: the clan of the Amramites, the clan of the Izharites, the clan of the Hebronites, and the clan of the Uzzielites. These clans belong to the Kohathites.
28 Pelo número contado de todo o macho da idade de um mês e para cima, foram cito mil e seiscentos, que tinham cuidado da guarda do santuário.
8,600 males have been counted aged one month old and older to take care of the things that belong to Yahweh.
29 As gerações dos filhos de Kohath assentarão as suas tendas ao lado do tabernáculo, da banda do sul.
The Kohath clans must camp on the south side of the tabernacle.
30 E o príncipe de casa paterna das gerações dos kohathitas será Elisaphan, filho de Ussiel.
Elizaphan son of Uzziel must lead the clans of the Kohathites.
31 E a sua guarda será a arca, e a mesa, e o castiçal, e os altares, e os vasos do santuário com que ministram, e o véu com todo o seu serviço.
They must care for the ark, the table, the lampstand, the altars, the holy things that are used in their service, the curtain, and all the work around it.
32 E o príncipe dos príncipes de Levi será Eleasar, filho de Aarão, o sacerdote: terá a superintendência sobre os que tem cuidado da guarda do santuário.
Eleazar son of Aaron the priest must lead the men who lead the Levites. He must supervise the men who care for the holy place.
33 De Merari é a geração dos mahelitas e a geração dos musitas; estas são as gerações de Merari.
Two clans have come from Merari: the clan of the Mahlites and the clan of the Mushites. These clans have come from Merari.
34 E os que deles foram contados pelo número de todo o macho de um mês e para cima foram seis mil e duzentos.
6,200 males have been counted aged one month old and older.
35 E o príncipe da casa paterna das gerações de Merari será Suriel, filho de Abihail: assentarão as suas tendas ao lado do tabernáculo, da banda do norte.
Zuriel son of Abihail must lead the clans of Merari. They must camp on the north side of the tabernacle.
36 E o cargo da guarda dos filhos de Merari serão as tábuas do tabernáculo, e os seus varais, e as suas colunas, e as suas bases, e todos os seus vasos, com todo o seu serviço,
The descendants of Merari must care for the framing of the tabernacle, the crossbars, posts, bases, all the hardware, and everything related to them, including
37 E as colunas do pátio em redor, e as suas bases, e as suas estacas e as suas cordas.
the pillars and posts of the courtyard that surround the tabernacle, with their sockets, pegs, and ropes.
38 E os que assentarão as suas tendas diante do tabernáculo, ao oriente, diante da tenda da congregação, para a banda do nascente, serão Moisés e Aarão, com seus filhos, tendo o cuidado da guarda do santuário, pela guarda dos filhos de Israel: e o estranho que se chegar morrerá.
Moses and Aaron and his sons must camp on the east side of the tabernacle, in front of the tent of meeting, toward the sunrise. They are responsible for the fulfillment of the duties of the sanctuary and the duties of the people of Israel. Any foreigner who approaches the sanctuary must be put to death.
39 Todos os que foram contados dos levitas, que contou Moisés e Aarão, por mandado do Senhor, segundo as suas gerações, todo o macho de um mês e para cima, foram vinte e dois mil
Moses and Aaron counted all the males in the clans of Levi who were aged one month old and older, just as Yahweh commanded. They counted twenty-two thousand men.
40 E disse o Senhor a Moisés: Conta todo e primogênito macho dos filhos de Israel, da idade dum mês e para cima, e toma o número dos seus nomes.
Yahweh said to Moses, “Count all the firstborn males of the people of Israel who are aged one month old and older. List their names.
41 E para mim tomarás os levitas (Eu sou o Senhor), em lugar de todo o primogênito dos filhos de Israel, e os animais dos levitas, em lugar de todo o primogênito entre os animais dos filhos de Israel.
You must take the Levites for me—I am Yahweh—instead of all the firstborn of the people of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites instead of the firstborn of the livestock of the descendants of Israel.”
42 E contou Moisés, como o Senhor lhe ordenara, todo o primogênito entre os filhos de Israel.
Moses counted all the firstborn people of Israel as Yahweh had commanded him to do.
43 E todos os primogênitos dos machos, pelo número dos nomes dos da idade dum mês e para cima, segundo os que foram contados deles, foram vinte e dois mil e duzentos e sessenta e três.
He counted all the firstborn males by name, aged one month old and older. He counted 22,273 men.
44 E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
Again, Yahweh spoke to Moses. He said,
45 Toma os levitas em lugar de todo o primogênito entre os filhos de Israel, e os animais dos levitas em lugar dos seus animais: porquanto os levitas serão meus: Eu sou o Senhor.
“Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the people of Israel, and take the Levites' livestock instead of the people's livestock. The Levites belong to me—I am Yahweh.
46 Quanto aos duzentos e setenta e três, que se houverem de resgatar, que sobrepujam aos levitas dos primogênitos dos filhos de Israel,
You must collect five shekels for the redemption of each of the 273 firstborn people of Israel who exceed the number of the Levites.
47 Tomarás por cada cabeça cinco siclos: conforme ao siclo do santuário os tomarás, a vinte geras o siclo.
You must use the shekel of the sanctuary as your standard weight. The shekel equals twenty gerahs.
48 E a Aarão e a seus filhos darás o dinheiro dos resgatados, dos que sobejam entre eles.
You must give the price of redemption that you paid to Aaron and his sons.”
49 Então Moisés tomou o dinheiro do resgate dos que sobejaram sobre os resgatados pelos levitas.
So Moses collected the payment of redemption from those who exceeded the number of those redeemed by the Levites.
50 Dos primogênitos dos filhos de Israel tomou o dinheiro, mil e trezentos e sessenta e cinco siclos, segundo o siclo do santuário.
Moses collected the money from the firstborn of the people of Israel. He collected 1,365 shekels, weighing with the shekel of the sanctuary.
51 E Moisés deu o dinheiro dos resgatados a Aarão e a seus filhos, segundo o mandado do Senhor, como o Senhor ordenara a Moisés.
Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and to his sons. Moses did everything he was told to do by Yahweh's word, as Yahweh had commanded him.
