Números 27
1 E chegaram as filhas de Selofad, filho de Hepher, filho de Gilead, filho de Machir, filho de Manasseh, entre as famílias de Manasseh, filho de José: (e estes são os nomes de suas filhas: Machla, Noa, Hogla, Milca, e Tirza);
Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
2 E puseram-se diante de Moisés, e diante de Eleazar, o sacerdote, e diante dos príncipes e de toda a congregação, à porta da tenda da congregação, dizendo:
And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,
3 Nosso pai morreu no deserto, e não estava entre a congregação dos que se congregaram contra o Senhor na congregação de Coré: mas morreu no seu próprio pecado, e não teve filhos
Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against Yhwh in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons.
4 Porque se tiraria o nome de nosso pai do meio da sua família, porquanto não teve filhos? dá-nos possessão entre os irmãos de nosso pai
Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father.
5 E Moisés levou a sua causa perante o Senhor.
And Moses brought their cause before Yhwh.
6 E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
And Yhwh spake unto Moses, saying,
7 As filhas de Selofad falam retamente: certamente lhes darás possessão de herança entre os irmãos de seu pai; e a herança de seu pai farás passar a elas
The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.
8 E falarás aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Quando alguém morrer, e não tiver filho, então fareis passar a sua herança a sua filha.
And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.
9 E, se não tiver filha, então a sua herança dareis a seus irmãos.
And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren.
10 Porém, se não tiver irmãos, então dareis a sua herança aos irmãos de seu pai.
And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father’s brethren.
11 Se também seu pai não tiver irmãos, então a sua herança dareis a seu parente, àquele que lhe for o mais chegado da sua família, para que a possua: isto aos filhos de Israel será por estatuto de direito, como o Senhor ordenou a Moisés
And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as Yhwh commanded Moses.
12 Depois disse o Senhor a Moisés: Sobe a este monte de Abarim, e vê a terra que tenho dado aos filhos de Israel.
And Yhwh said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.
13 E, havendo-a visto, então serás recolhido aos teus povos, assim tu como foi recolhido teu irmão Aarão:
And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.
14 Porquanto rebeldes fostes no deserto de Zin, na contenda da congregação, ao meu mandado de me santificar nas águas diante dos seus olhos: (estas são as águas de Meribah de Cades, no deserto de Zin.)
For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.
15 Então falou Moisés ao Senhor, dizendo:
And Moses spake unto Yhwh, saying,
16 O Senhor, Deus dos espíritos de toda a carne, ponha um homem sobre esta congregação,
Let Yhwh, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,
17 Que saia diante deles, e que entre diante deles, e que os faça sair, e que os faça entrar: para que a congregação do Senhor não seja como ovelhas que não tem pastor.
Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of Yhwh be not as sheep which have no shepherd.
18 Então disse o Senhor a Moisés: Toma para ti a Josué, filho de Nun, homem em quem há o espírito, e põe a tua mão sobre ele
And Yhwh said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;
19 E apresenta-o perante Eleazar, o sacerdote, e perante toda a congregação, e dá-lhe mandamentos aos olhos deles.
And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.
20 E põe sobre ele da tua glória, para que obedeça toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel.
And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.
21 E se porá perante Eleazar, o sacerdote, o qual por ele consultará, segundo o juízo de Urim, perante o Senhor: conforme ao seu dito sairão, e conforme ao seu dito entrarão, ele e todos os filhos de Israel com ele, e toda a congregação.
And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before Yhwh: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.
22 E fez Moisés como o Senhor lhe ordenara: porque tomou a Josué, e apresentou-o perante Eleazar, o sacerdote, e perante toda a congregação:
And Moses did as Yhwh commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:
23 E sobre ele pôs as suas mãos, e lhe deu mandamentos, como o Senhor ordenara pela mão de Moisés.
And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as Yhwh commanded by the hand of Moses.
