Neemias 13

1 Naquele dia leu-se no livro de Moisés, aos ouvidos do povo: e achou-se escrito nele que os ammonitas e os moabitas não entrassem jamais na congregação de Deus

2 Porquanto não sairam ao encontro dos filhos de Israel com pão e água; antes alugaram contra eles a Balaão para os amaldiçoar; ainda que o nosso Deus converteu a maldição em benção.

for not to meet [obj] son: descendant/people Israel in/on/with food: bread and in/on/with water and to hire upon him [obj] Balaam to/for to lighten him and to overturn God our [the] curse to/for blessing

3 Sucedeu pois que, ouvindo eles esta lei, apartaram de Israel toda a mistura.

and to be like/as to hear: hear they [obj] [the] instruction and to separate all racial-mix from Israel

4 E de antes Eliasib, sacerdote, que presidia sobre a câmara da casa do nosso Deus, se tinha aparentado com Tobias;

and to/for face: before from this Eliashib [the] priest to give: put in/on/with chamber house: temple God our near to/for Tobiah

5 E fizera-lhe uma câmara grande, onde de antes se metiam as ofertas de manjares, o incenso, e os vasos, e os dízimos do grão, do mosto, e do azeite, que se ordenaram para os levitas, e cantores, e porteiros, como também a oferta alçada para os sacerdotes.

6 Porém em tudo isto não estava eu em Jerusalém; porque no ano trinta e dois de Artaxerxes, rei de Babilônia, vim eu ter com o rei; mas ao cabo de alguns dias tornei a alcançar licença do rei

7 E vim a Jerusalém, e entendi o mal que Eliasib fizera para Tobias, fazendo-lhe uma câmara nos pátios da casa de Deus.

8 O que muito me desagradou: de sorte que lancei todos os móveis da casa de Tobias fora da câmara.

9 E, ordenando-o eu, purificaram as câmaras: e tornei a trazer ali os vasos da casa de Deus, com as ofertas de manjares, e o incenso.

10 Também entendi que o quinhão dos levitas se lhes não dava: de maneira que os levitas e os cantores, que faziam a obra, tinham fugido cada um para a sua terra.

and to know [emph?] for portion [the] Levi not to give: give and to flee man: anyone to/for land: country his [the] Levi and [the] to sing to make: do [the] work

11 Então contendi com os magistrados, e disse: Porque se desamparou a casa de Deus? Porém eu os ajuntei, e os restaurei no seu posto.

and to contend [emph?] with [the] ruler and to say [emph?] why? to leave: neglect house: temple [the] God and to gather them and to stand: stand them upon post their

12 Então todo o Judá trouxe os dízimos do grão, e do mosto, e do azeite aos celeiros.

and all Judah to come (in): bring tithe [the] grain and [the] new wine and [the] oil to/for treasure

13 E por tesoureiros pus sobre os celeiros a Selemias o sacerdote, e a Zadok o escrivão, e a Pedaias, dentre os levitas; e à mão deles Hanan, filho de Zacchur, o filho de Matthanias: porque se tinham achado fieis: e se lhes encarregou a eles a distribuição para seus irmãos.

14 (Por isto, Deus meu, lembra-te de mim: e não risques as minhas beneficências que eu fiz à casa de meu Deus e às suas guardas.)

15 Naqueles dias vi em Judá os que pisavam lagares ao sábado e traziam feixes que carregavam sobre os jumentos; como também vinho, uvas e figos, e toda a casta de cargas, que traziam a Jerusalém no dia de sábado; e protestei contra eles no dia em que vendiam mantimentos.

16 Também tyrios habitavam dentro, que traziam peixe, e toda a mercadoria, que no sábado vendiam aos filhos de Judá, e em Jerusalém.

and [the] Tyrian to dwell in/on/with her to come (in): bring fish and all merchandise and to sell in/on/with Sabbath to/for son: descendant/people Judah and in/on/with Jerusalem

17 E contendi com os nobres de Judá, e lhes disse: Que mal é este que fazeis, e profanais o dia de sábado?

18 Porventura não fizeram vossos pais assim, e nosso Deus não trouxe todo este mal sobre nós e sobre esta cidade? e vós ainda mais acrescentais o ardor de sua ira sobre Israel, profanando o sábado.

19 Sucedeu pois que, dando as portas de Jerusalém já sombra antes do sábado, ordenando-o eu, as portas se fecharam; e mandei que as não abrissem até passado o sábado; e pus às portas alguns de meus moços, para que carga nenhuma entrasse no dia de sábado.

20 Então os negociantes e os vendedores de toda a mercadoria passaram a noite fora de Jerusalém, uma ou duas vezes.

and to lodge [the] to trade and to sell all sale from outside to/for Jerusalem beat and two

21 Protestei pois contra eles, e lhes disse: Porque passais a noite defronte do muro? se outra vez o fizerdes, hei de lançar mão de vós: daquele tempo em diante não vieram no sábado.

22 Também disse aos levitas que se purificassem, e viessem guardar as portas, para santificar o sábado. (nisto também, Deus meu, lembra-te de mim; e perdoa-me segundo a abundância da tua benignidade.)

and to say [emph?] to/for Levi which to be be pure and to come (in): come to keep: guard [the] gate to/for to consecrate: consecate [obj] day [the] Sabbath also this to remember [emph?] to/for me God my and to pity [emph?] upon me like/as abundance kindness your

23 Vi também naqueles dias judeus que tinham casado com mulheres asdoditas, ammonitas, e moabitas.

also in/on/with day [the] they(masc.) to see: see [obj] [the] Jew to dwell woman (Ashdod Ammon *Q(k)*) Moabite

24 E seus filhos falavam meio asdotita, e não podiam falar judaico, senão segundo a língua de cada povo.

25 E contendi com eles, e os amaldiçoei e espanquei alguns deles, e lhes arranquei os cabelos, e os fiz jurar por Deus, dizendo: Não dareis mais vossas filhas a seus filhos, e não tomareis mais suas filhas, nem para vossos filhos nem para vós mesmos.

and to contend with them and to lighten them and to smite from them human and to smooth them and to swear them in/on/with God if: surely no to give: give(marriage) daughter your to/for son: child their and if: surely no to lift: marry from daughter their to/for son: child your and to/for you

26 Porventura não pecou nisto Salomão, rei de Israel, não havendo entre muitas gentes rei semelhante a ele, e sendo amado de seu Deus, e pondo-o Deus rei sobre todo o Israel? e contudo as mulheres estranhas o fizeram pecar.

27 E dar-vos-íamos nós ouvidos, para fazermos todo este grande mal, prevaricando contra o nosso Deus, casando com mulheres estranhas?

and to/for you to hear: hear to/for to make: do [obj] all [the] distress: evil [the] great: large [the] this to/for be unfaithful in/on/with God our to/for to dwell woman foreign

28 Também um dos filhos de Joiada, filho de Eliasib, o sumo sacerdote, era genro de Sanballat, o horonita, pelo que o afugentei de mim.

and from son: child Joiada son: child Eliashib [the] priest [the] great: large son-in-law to/for Sanballat [the] Horonite and to flee him from upon me

29 Lembra-te deles, Deus meu, pois contaminaram o sacerdócio, como também o concerto do sacerdócio e dos levitas.

30 Assim os alimpei de todo o estranho, e ordenei as guardas dos sacerdotes e dos levitas, cada um na sua obra.

and be pure them from all foreign and to stand: appoint [emph?] charge to/for priest and to/for Levi man: anyone in/on/with work his

31 Como também para com as ofertas da lenha em tempos determinados, e para com as primícias: lembra-te de mim, Deus meu, para bem.

and to/for offering [the] tree: wood in/on/with time to appoint and to/for firstfruit to remember [emph?] to/for me God my to/for welfare
