Miquéias 3
1 Mais disse eu: Ouvi agora vós, chefes de Jacob, e vós, príncipes da casa de Israel; porventura não é a vós que pertence saber o direito?
And I said: Hear, I pray you, ye heads of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel: is it not for you to know justice?
2 Que aborreceis o bem, e amais o mal, que lhes arrancais a pele de cima deles, e a sua carne de cima dos seus ossos,
Who hate the good, and love the evil; who rob their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;
3 E que comeis a carne do meu povo, e lhes esfolais a sua pele, e lhes esmiuçais os ossos, e os repartis como para a panela e como carne no meio do caldeirão.
Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them, and break their bones; yea, they chop them in pieces, as that which is in the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.
4 Então clamarão ao Senhor, mas não os ouvirá, antes esconderá deles a sua face naquele tempo, visto que eles fizeram mal com as suas obras.
Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but He will not answer them; yea, He will hide His face from them at that time, according as they have wrought evil in their doings.
5 Assim diz o Senhor contra os profetas que fazem errar o meu povo, que mordem com os seus dentes, e clamam paz; mas contra aquele que nada lhes mete na boca preparam guerra.
Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people to err; that cry: 'Peace', when their teeth have any thing to bite; and whoso putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him:
6 Portanto, se vos fará noite por causa da profecia, e vos serão trevas por causa da adivinhação, e se porá o sol sobre estes profetas, e o dia sobre eles se enegrecerá.
Therefore it shall be night unto you, that ye shall have no vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be black over them.
7 E os videntes se envergonharão, e os adivinhadores se confundirão; e todos juntos cobrirão o beiço superior, porque não haverá resposta de Deus.
And the seers shall be put to shame, and the diviners confounded; yea, they shall all cover their upper lips; for there shall be no answer of God.
8 Mas decerto eu sou cheio da força do espírito do Senhor, e cheio de juízo e ânimo, para anunciar a Jacob a sua transgressão e a Israel o seu pecado.
But I truly am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of justice, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
9 Ouvi agora isto, vós, chefes da casa de Jacob, e vós, maiorais da casa de Israel, que abominais o juízo e perverteis tudo o que é direito,
Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel, that abhor justice, and pervert all equity;
10 Edificando a Sião com sangue, e a Jerusalém com injustiça.
That build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
11 Os seus chefes dão as sentenças por presentes, e os seus sacerdotes ensinam por interesse, e os seus profetas adivinham por dinheiro; e ainda se encostam ao Senhor, dizendo: Porventura não está o Senhor no meio de nós? nenhum mal nos sobrevirá.
The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money; yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say: 'Is not the LORD in the midst of us? No evil shall come upon us'?
12 Portanto, por causa de vós, Sião será lavrada como um campo, e Jerusalém se fará montões de pedras, e o monte desta casa alturas de bosque.
Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.
