Marcos 13
1 E, saindo ele do templo, disse-lhe um dos seus discípulos: Mestre, olha que pedras, e que edifícios!
As Jesus was coming out from the temple courts, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, look! What wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings!”
2 E, respondendo Jesus, disse-lhe: Vês estes grandes edifícios? Não ficará pedra sobre pedra que não seja derribada.
Jesus answered him, “Do yoʋ see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left upon another; all of them will be torn down.”
3 E, assentando-se ele no monte das Oliveiras, defronte do templo, Pedro, e Thiago, e João e André lhe perguntaram em particular:
Later, as Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, across from the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately,
4 Dize-nos, quando serão essas coisas, e que sinal haverá quando todas essas coisas se houverem de cumprir.
“Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that all these things are about to be fulfilled?”
5 E Jesus, respondendo-lhes, começou a dizer: olhai que ninguém vos engane;
Jesus began to say to them in response, “Make sure no one leads you astray.
6 Porque muitos virão em meu nome, dizendo: Eu sou o Cristo: e enganarão a muitos.
For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and will lead many astray.
7 E, quando ouvirdes de guerras e de rumores de guerras, não vos turbeis; porque assim importa fazer-se; mas ainda não será o fim.
When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed, for these things must take place, but the end is not yet.
8 Porque se levantará nação contra nação, e reino contra reino, e haverá terremotos em diversos lugares, e haverá fomes e alvoroços. Estas coisas serão o princípio de dores
For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, along with famines and riots. These are the beginning of the labor pains.
9 Mas olhai por vós mesmos, porque vos entregarão aos concílios e às sinagogas; sereis açoitados, e sereis apresentados ante presidentes e reis, por amor de mim, para lhes servir de testemunho.
“You must watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in synagogues. For my sake you will even be set before governors and kings as witnesses to them.
10 Mas importa que o evangelho se pregue primeiro entre todas as gentes.
And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations.
11 Quando pois vos conduzirem para vos entregarem, não estejais solicitos de antemão pelo que haveis de dizer; mas, o que vos for dado naquela hora, isso falai; porque não sois vós os que falais, mas o Espírito Santo.
When they lead you away and hand you over, do not be anxious beforehand about what you should say. Do not give it much thought, but say whatever is given to you in that hour, for it will not be you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
12 E o irmão entregará à morte o irmão, e o pai o filho: e levantar-se-ão os filhos contra os pais, e os matarão.
Brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child, and children will rise up against their parents and have them put to death.
13 E sereis aborrecidos por todos por amor do meu nome; mas quem perseverar até ao fim esse será salvo.
You will be hated by all because of my name, but he who endures to the end will be saved.
14 Ora, quando vós virdes a abominação do assolamento, que foi predito, estando onde não deve estar (quem lê, entenda), então os que estiverem na Judeia fujam para os montes.
“When you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing where it should not be” (let the reader understand), “then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.
15 E o que estiver sobre o telhado não desça para casa, nem entre a tomar coisa alguma de sua casa;
He who is on the housetop must not come down into his house or go inside to get anything out of his house.
16 E o que estiver no campo não volte atráz, para tomar o seu vestido.
And he who is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.
17 Mas ai das grávidas, e das que criarem naqueles dias!
Woe to those who are with child and to those who are nursing infants in those days!
18 Orai pois, para que a vossa fugida não suceda no inverno;
Pray that your flight will not happen in winter.
19 Porque naqueles dias haverá uma aflição tal, qual nunca houve desde o princípio da criação, que Deus criou, até agora, nem tão pouco haverá
For those days will be a time of tribulation unlike any other from the beginning of God's creation until now, and it will never be equaled again.
20 E, se o Senhor não abreviasse aqueles dias, nenhuma carne se salvaria; mas, por causa dos escolhidos que escolheu, abreviou aqueles dias.
If the Lord had not cut those days short, no flesh would be saved. But for the sake of the chosen, whom he has selected, he has cut those days short.
21 E então, se alguém vos disser: Eis aqui está o Cristo: ou, ei-lo ali está: não o acrediteis.
If anyone says to you at that time, ‘Behold, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Behold, there he is!’ do not believe him.
22 Porque se levantarão falsos Cristos, e falsos profetas, e farão sinais e prodígios, para enganarem, se for possível, até os escolhidos.
For false christs and false prophets will rise up and perform signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen.
23 Mas vós vede; eis que de antemão vos tenho dito tudo.
So you must watch out! Behold, I have told you everything in advance.
24 Ora, naqueles dias, depois daquela aflição, o sol se escurecerá, e a lua não dará o seu resplendor,
“But in those days, after that time of tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light.
25 E as estrelas cairão do céu, e as forças que estão nos céus serão abaladas.
The stars of heaven will be falling, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.
26 E então verão vir o Filho do homem nas nuvens, com grande poder e glória.
Then people will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
27 E então enviará os seus anjos, e ajuntará os seus escolhidos, desde os quatro ventos, da extremidade da terra até à extremidade do céu.
And he will send his angels and gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.
28 Aprendei pois a parábola da figueira: Quando já o seu ramo se torna tenro, e brota folhas, bem sabeis que já está próximo o verão.
“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its branches become tender and put out leaves, you know that summer is near.
29 Assim também vós, quando virdes sucederem estas coisas, sabei que já está junto às portas.
So also, when you see these things taking place, know that he is near, at the very gates.
30 Na verdade vos digo que não passará esta geração, até que todas estas coisas aconteçam.
Truly I say to you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have taken place.
31 Passará o céu e a terra, mas as minhas palavras não passarão.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will certainly not pass away.
32 Porém daquele dia e hora ninguém sabe, nem os anjos que estão no céu, nem o Filho, senão o pai
“No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven or the Son, but only the Father.
33 Olhai, vigiai e orai; porque não sabeis quando chegará o tempo.
Be on guard; stay alert and pray! For you do not know when the time is coming.
34 Como o homem, que, partindo para fora da terra, deixou a sua casa, e deu autoridade aos seus servos, e a cada um a sua obra, e mandou ao porteiro que vigiasse;
It is like a man away on a journey: When he leaves his house and gives authority to his servants, assigning to each one his task, he also commands the doorkeeper to keep watch.
35 Vigiai pois, porque não sabeis quando virá o senhor da casa; se à tarde, se à meia noite, se ao cantar do galo, se pela manhã,
Therefore keep watch, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or in the morning.
36 Para que não venha de improviso, e vos ache dormindo.
Otherwise, he may come suddenly and find you sleeping.
37 E as coisas que vos digo digo-as a todos: vigiai.
What I say to you, I say to everyone: Keep watch!”
