Marcos 12
1 E começou a falar-lhes por parábolas: Um homem plantou uma vinha, e cercou-a de um valado, e fundou nela um lagar, e edificou uma torre, e arrendou-a a uns lavradores, e partiu para fora da terra;
Then Jesus began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a wine vat, and built a watchtower. Then he rented it out to some tenants and went away on a journey.
2 E, chegado o tempo, mandou um servo aos lavradores para que recebesse, dos lavradores, do fruto da vinha.
At harvest time, he sent a servant to the tenants to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard.
3 Mas eles, apoderando-se dele, o feriram e o mandaram embora vazio.
But they seized the servant, beat him, and sent him away empty-handed.
4 E tornou a enviar-lhes outro servo; e eles, apedrejando-o, o feriram na cabeça, e o mandaram embora, tendo-o afrontado.
Then he sent them another servant, and they struck him over the head and treated him shamefully.
5 E tornou a enviar-lhes outro, e a este mataram, e outros muitos, e feriram uns, e mataram outros.
He sent still another, and this one they killed. He sent many others; some they beat and others they killed.
6 Tendo ele pois ainda um seu filho amado, enviou-o também a estes por derradeiro, dizendo: Ao menos terão respeito ao meu filho.
Finally, having one beloved son, he sent him to them. ‘They will respect my son,’ he said.
7 Mas aqueles lavradores disseram entre si: Este é o herdeiro; vamos, matemo-lo, e a herança será nossa.
But the tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
8 E, pegando dele, o mataram, e o lançaram fora da vinha.
So they seized the son, killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard.
9 Que fará pois o Senhor da vinha? Virá, e destruirá os lavradores, e dará a vinha a outros.
What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants, and will give the vineyard to others.
10 Ainda não lestes esta escritura: A pedra, que os edificadores rejeitaram, esta foi posta por cabeça da esquina:
Have you never read this Scripture: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
11 Isto foi feito pelo Senhor, e é coisa maravilhosa aos nossos olhos?
This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?”
12 E buscavam prendê-lo, mas temiam a multidão, porque entendiam que contra eles dizia esta parábola: e, deixando-o, foram-se.
At this, the leaders sought to arrest Jesus, for they knew that He had spoken this parable against them. But fearing the crowd, they left Him and went away.
13 E enviaram-lhe alguns dos fariseus e dos herodianos, para que o apanhassem em alguma palavra.
Later, they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to catch Jesus in His words.
14 E, chegando eles, disseram-lhe: Mestre, sabemos que és homem de verdade, e de ninguém se te dá, porque não olhas à aparência dos homens, antes com verdade ensinas o caminho de Deus: é lícito dar o tributo a Cesar, ou não? Daremos, ou não daremos?
“Teacher,” they said, “we know that You are honest and seek favor from no one. Indeed, You are impartial and teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not? Should we pay them or not?”
15 Então ele, conhecendo a sua hipocrisia, disse-lhes: Porque me tentais? trazei-me uma moeda, para que a veja.
But Jesus saw through their hypocrisy and said, “Why are you testing Me? Bring Me a denarius to inspect.”
16 E eles lha trouxeram. E disse-lhes: De quem é esta imagem e inscrição? E eles lhe disseram: De Cesar.
So they brought it, and He asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?” “Caesar’s,” they answered.
17 E Jesus, respondendo, disse-lhes: dai pois a Cesar o que é de Cesar, e a Deus o que é de Deus. E maravilharam-se dele.
Then Jesus told them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” And they marveled at Him.
18 Então os saduceus, que dizem que não há ressurreição, aproximaram-se dele, e perguntaram-lhe, dizendo:
Then the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Jesus and questioned Him:
19 Mestre, Moisés nos escreveu que, se morresse o irmão de alguém, e deixasse mulher e não deixasse filhos, seu irmão tomasse a mulher dele, e suscitasse semente a seu irmão.
“Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man is to marry his brother’s widow and raise up offspring for him.
20 Ora havia sete irmãos, e o primeiro tomou mulher, e morreu sem deixar semente;
Now there were seven brothers. The first one married and died, leaving no children.
21 E o segundo também a tomou e morreu, e nem este deixou semente; e o terceiro da mesma maneira;
Then the second one married the widow, but he also died and left no children. And the third did likewise.
22 E tomaram-na todos os sete, sem, contudo, deixarem semente. Finalmente, depois de todos, morreu também a mulher.
In this way, none of the seven left any children. And last of all, the woman died.
23 Na ressurreição, pois, quando resuscitarem, de qual destes será a mulher? porque os sete a tiveram por mulher.
In the resurrection, then, whose wife will she be? For all seven were married to her.”
24 E Jesus, respondendo, disse-lhes: Porventura não errais vós, porque não sabeis as escrituras nem o poder de Deus?
Jesus said to them, “Aren’t you mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God?
25 Porquanto, quando resuscitarem dos mortos, nem casarão, nem se darão em casamento, mas serão como os anjos que estão nos céus.
When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage. Instead, they will be like the angels in heaven.
26 E, acerca dos mortos que houverem de resuscitar, não tendes lido no livro de Moisés como Deus lhe falou na sarça, dizendo: Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, e o Deus de Isaac, e o Deus de Jacob?
But concerning the dead rising, have you not read about the burning bush in the Book of Moses, how God told him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?
27 Ora Deus não é dos mortos, mas sim Deus dos vivos. Por isso vós errais muito.
He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!”
28 E, aproximando-se dele um dos escribas que os tinha ouvido disputar, sabendo que lhes tinha respondido bem, perguntou-lhe: Qual é o primeiro de todos os mandamentos?
Now one of the scribes had come up and heard their debate. Noticing how well Jesus had answered them, he asked Him, “Which commandment is the most important of all?”
29 E Jesus respondeu-lhe: O primeiro de todos os mandamentos é: Ouve, Israel, o Senhor nosso Deus é o único Senhor.
Jesus replied, “This is the most important: ‘Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One.
30 Amarás, pois, o Senhor teu Deus de todo o teu coração, e de toda a tua alma, e de todo o teu entendimento, e de todas as tuas forças: este é o primeiro mandamento.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’
31 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás o teu próximo como a ti mesmo. Não há outro mandamento maior do que estes.
The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”
32 E o escriba lhe disse: Muito bem, Mestre, e com verdade disseste que há um só Deus, e que não há outro além dele;
“Right, Teacher,” the scribe replied. “You have stated correctly that God is One and there is no other but Him,
33 E que ama-lo de todo o coração, e de todo o entendimento, e de toda a alma, e de todas as forças, e amar o próximo como a si mesmo, é mais do que todos os holocaustos e sacrifícios.
and to love Him with all your heart and with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself, which is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
34 E Jesus, vendo que havia respondido sabiamente, disse-lhe: Não estás longe do reino de Deus. E já ninguém ousava perguntar-lhe mais nada.
When Jesus saw that the man had answered wisely, He said, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And no one dared to question Him any further.
35 E, falando Jesus, dizia, ensinando no templo: Como dizem os escribas que o Cristo é filho de David?
While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, He asked, “How can the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of David?
36 Porque o mesmo David disse pelo Espírito Santo: O Senhor disse ao meu Senhor: Assenta-te à minha direita até que eu ponha os teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés.
Speaking by the Holy Spirit, David himself declared: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand until I put Your enemies under Your feet.”’
37 Pois, se David mesmo lhe chama Senhor, como é logo seu filho? E a grande multidão o ouvia de boa vontade.
David himself calls Him ‘Lord.’ So how can He be David’s son?” And the large crowd listened to Him with delight.
38 E, ensinando-os, dizia-lhes: guardai-vos dos escribas, que gostam de andar com vestidos compridos, e das saudações nas praças,
In His teaching Jesus also said, “Watch out for the scribes. They like to walk around in long robes, to receive greetings in the marketplaces,
39 E das primeiras cadeiras nas sinagogas, e dos primeiros assentos nas ceias;
and to have the chief seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets.
40 Que devoram as casas das viúvas, e isso com pretexto de largas orações. Estes receberão mais grave condenação.
They defraud widows of their houses, and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will receive greater condemnation.”
41 E, estando Jesus assentado defronte da arca do tesouro, observava a maneira como a multidão lançava o dinheiro na arca do tesouro; e muitos ricos deitavam muito.
As Jesus was sitting opposite the treasury, He watched the crowd putting money into it. And many rich people put in large amounts.
42 E, chegando uma pobre viúva, deitou duas pequenas moedas, que valiam quatro reis.
Then one poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which amounted to a small fraction of a denarius.
43 E, chamando os seus discípulos, disse-lhes: Em verdade vos digo que esta pobre viúva deitou mais do que todos os que deitaram na arca do tesouro,
Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more than all the others into the treasury.
44 Porque todos ali deitaram do que lhes sobejava, mas esta, da sua pobreza, deitou tudo o que tinha, todo o seu sustento.
For they all contributed out of their surplus, but she out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on.”
