Malaquias 2
1 Agora pois, ó sacerdotes, este mandamento vos toca a vós.
And now, A! ye preestis, this maundement is to you.
2 Se o não ouvirdes, e se não propozerdes no coração, dar honra ao meu nome, diz o Senhor dos exércitos, enviarei a maldição contra vós, e amaldiçoarei as vossas bençãos; e também já tenho maldito a cada qual delas, porque vós não pondes isso no coração.
If ye wolen here, and if ye `wolen not putte on the herte, that ye yyue glorie to my name, seith the Lord of oostis, Y schal sende nedynesse in to you, and Y schal curse to youre blessyngis; and Y schal curse hem, for ye han not putte on the herte.
3 Eis que vos corromperei a semente, e espalharei esterco sobre os vossos rostos, o esterco das vossas festas; e com eles sereis tirados.
Lo! Y schal caste to you the arm, and Y schal scatere on youre cheere the drit of youre solempnytees, and it schal take you with it.
4 Então sabereis que eu vos enviei este mandamento, para que o meu concerto seja com Levi, diz o Senhor dos exércitos.
And ye schulen wite, that Y sente to you this maundement, that my couenaunt were with Leuy, seith the Lord of oostis.
5 Meu concerto com ele foi a vida e a paz, e eu lhas dei para temor, e me temeu, e assombrou-se por causa do meu nome.
My couenaunt was with hym of lijf and pees; and Y yaf to hym a drede, and he dredde me, and he dredde of face of my name.
6 A lei da verdade esteve na sua boca, e a iniquidade não se achou nos seus lábios: andou comigo em paz e em retidão, e converteu a muitos da iniquidade.
The lawe of trewthe was in his mouth, and wickidnesse was not foundun in hise lippis; in pees and in equite he walkide with me, and he turnede awei many men fro wickidnesse.
7 Porque os lábios do sacerdote guardarão a ciência, e da sua boca buscarão a lei, porque ele é o anjo do Senhor dos exércitos.
For the lippis of a prest kepen science, and thei schulen ayen seke the lawe of `the mouth of hym, for he is an aungel of the Lord of oostes.
8 Mas vós vos desviastes do caminho, a muitos fizestes tropeçar na lei: corrompestes o concerto de Levi, diz o Senhor dos exércitos.
But ye wenten awei fro the weie, and sclaundren ful many men in the lawe; ye maden voide the couenaunt of Leuy, seith the Lord of oostis.
9 Por isso também eu vos fiz desprezíveis, e indignos diante de todo o povo, visto que não guardais os meus caminhos, mas aceitais pessoas na lei.
For which thing and Y yaf you worthi to be dispisid, and bowen to alle puplis, as ye kepten not my weies, and token a face in the lawe.
10 Não temos nós todos um mesmo pai? não nos criou um mesmo Deus? porque seremos desleais cada um com seu irmão, profanando o concerto de nossos pais?
Whether not o fadir is of alle you? whether o God made not of nouyt you? Whi therfor ech of you dispisith his brother, and defoulith the couenaunt of youre fadris?
11 Judá foi desleal, e abominação se obrou em Israel e em Jerusalém; porque Judá profana a santidade do Senhor, a qual ama, e se casou com a filha de deus estranho.
Judas trespasside, and abhomynacioun is maad in Israel, and in Jerusalem; for Judas defoulide the halewyng of the Lord, which he louyde, and he hadde the douyter of an alien god.
12 O Senhor destruirá das tendas de Jacob o homem que fizer isto, o que vela, e o que responde, e o que oferece presente ao Senhor dos exércitos.
The Lord schal distrie the man that dide this thing, the maister and disciple, fro the tabernacle of Jacob, and him that offrith a yifte to the Lord of oostis.
13 Também fazeis esta segunda coisa: cobris o altar do Senhor de lágrimas, de choros e de gemidos; de sorte que ele não olha mais para o presente, nem o aceitará com prazer da vossa mão.
And eftsoone ye diden this thing; ye hiliden with teeris the auter of the Lord, with wepyng and mourenyng; so that Y biholde no more to sacrifice, nether resseyue ony thing plesaunt of youre hond.
14 E dizeis: Porque? porque o Senhor foi testemunha entre ti e a mulher da tua mocidade, contra a qual tu foste desleal, sendo ela a tua companheira, e a mulher do teu concerto.
And ye seiden, For what cause? For the Lord witnesside bitwixe thee and the wijf of thi `puberte, that is, tyme of mariage, which thou dispisidist, and this is thi felowe, and wijf of thi couenaunt.
15 E não fez ele somente um? sobejando-lhe espírito? e porque somente este um? buscava uma semente de Deus: portanto guardai-vos em vosso espírito, e contra a mulher da vossa mocidade nenhum seja desleal.
Whether oon made not, and residue of spirit is his? and what sekith oon, no but the seed of God? Therfore kepe ye youre spirit, and nyle thou dispise the wijf of thi yongthe;
16 Porque o Senhor Deus de Israel diz que aborrece o repúdio, e aquele que encobre a violência com o seu vestido, diz o Senhor dos exércitos: portanto guardai-vos em vosso espírito, e não sejais desleais.
whanne thou hatist hir, leue thou hir, seith the Lord God of Israel. Forsothe wickidnesse schal kyuere the closyng of hym, seith the Lord of oostis; kepe ye youre spirit, and nyle ye dispise.
17 Enfadais ao Senhor com vossas palavras: e ainda dizeis: Em que o enfadamos? nisto que dizeis: Qualquer que faz mal é bom aos olhos do Senhor, e nestes tais é que ele se agrada, ou, onde está o Deus do juízo?
Ye maden the Lord for to trauele in youre wordis, and ye seiden, Wherynne maden we hym for to trauele? In that that ye seien, Ech man that doith yuel, is good in the siyt of the Lord, and siche plesen to hym; ether certis where is the God of doom?
