Lucas 22
1 Estava pois perto a festa dos pães asmos, chamada a pascoa.
Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread was drawing near, which is called the Passover,
2 E os principais dos sacerdotes, e os escribas, procuravam como o matariam; porque temiam o povo.
and the chief priests and the scribes were looking for a way to get rid of Jesus quietly, for they were afraid of the people.
3 Entrou, porém, Satanás em Judas, que tinha por sobrenome Iscariotes, o qual era do número dos doze;
Then Satan entered into Judas, the one called Iscariot, who was numbered among the twelve.
4 E foi, e falou com os principais dos sacerdotes, e com os capitães, de como lho entregaria,
He went away and discussed with the chief priests and officers how he might deliver Jesus up to them.
5 Os quais se alegraram, e convieram em lhe dar dinheiro.
They were glad and agreed to give him money.
6 E ele prometeu; e buscava oportunidade para lho entregar sem alvoroço.
So he accepted the offer and began looking for an opportunity to deliver Jesus up to them in the absence of a crowd.
7 Chegou, porém, o dia dos pães asmos, em que importava sacrificar a pascoa.
Then came the day for the Feast of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed.
8 E mandou a Pedro e a João, dizendo: Ide, preparai-nos a pascoa, para que a comamos.
Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go make preparations for us to eat the Passover.”
9 E eles lhe disseram: Onde queres que a preparemos?
They said to him, “Where do yoʋ want us to prepare it?”
10 E ele lhes disse: Eis que, quando entrardes na cidade, vos encontrará um homem, levando um cântaro d'água: segui-o até à casa em que ele entrar.
He said to them, “Behold, when you enter the city, a man carrying a jug of water will meet you. Follow him into the house he enters
11 E direis ao pai de família da casa: O Mestre te diz: Onde está o aposento em que hei de comer a pascoa com os meus discípulos?
and say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher asks yoʋ, “Where is the guest room where I can eat the Passover with my disciples?”’
12 Então ele vos mostrará um grande cenáculo mobiliado; ai fazei preparativos.
He will then show you a large upper room that is furnished; prepare it there.”
13 E, indo eles, acharam como lhes tinha dito; e prepararam a pascoa.
So they went and found it just as Jesus had told them, and they prepared the Passover.
14 E, chegada a hora, pôs-se à mesa, e com ele os doze apóstolos.
When the hour came, Jesus reclined at the table, and the twelve apostles were with him.
15 E disse-lhes: Desejei muito comer convosco esta pascoa, antes que padeça;
He said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.
16 Porque vos digo que não a comerei mais até que ela se cumpra no reino de Deus.
For I tell you that I will certainly not eat it again until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”
17 E, tomando o cálice, e havendo dado graças, disse: tomai-o, e reparti-o entre vós;
Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves.
18 Porque vos digo que já não beberei do fruto da vide, até que venha o reino de Deus.
For I tell you, I will certainly not drink again from the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”
19 E, tomando o pão, e havendo dado graças, partiu-o, e deu-lho, dizendo: Isto é o meu corpo, que por vós é dado; fazei isto em memória de mim.
Then he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
20 Semelhantemente tomou o cálice, depois da ceia, dizendo: Este cálice é o Novo Testamento no meu sangue, que é derramado por vós.
In the same way, he also took the cup after they had eaten supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
21 Porém eis que a mão do que me trai está comigo à mesa.
But behold, the hand of the one who is going to betray me is with mine on the table.
22 E, na verdade, o Filho do homem vai segundo o que está determinado; porém ai daquele homem por quem é traido!
The Son of Man indeed goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed.”
23 E começaram a perguntar entre si qual deles seria o que havia de fazer isto.
Then they began to discuss with one another which one of them could ever do such a thing.
24 E houve também entre eles contenda, sobre qual deles parecia ser o maior.
A dispute also arose among them as to which of them was considered to be greater.
25 E ele lhes disse: Os reis dos gentios dominam sobre eles, e os que tem autoridade sobre eles são chamados benfeitores.
So Jesus said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and those who have authority over them are called benefactors.
26 Mas não sereis vós assim; antes o maior entre vós seja como o menor; e quem governa como quem serve.
But it must not be so with you; rather the greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the leader must become like one who serves.
27 Pois qual é maior: quem está à mesa, ou quem serve? Porventura não é quem está à mesa? Porém eu entre vós sou como aquele que serve.
For who is greater? The one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at the table? But I am among you as one who serves.
28 E vós sois os que tendes permanecido comigo nas minhas tentações.
“You have stayed with me in my trials.
29 E eu vos ordeno o reino, como meu Pai mo ordenou;
And I bestow on you a kingdom, just as my Father bestowed one on me,
30 Para que comais e bebais à minha mesa no meu reino, e vos assenteis sobre tronos, julgando as doze tribos de Israel.
so that you may eat and drink at my table. And you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
31 Disse também o Senhor: Simão, Simão, eis que Satanás vos pediu para vos cirandar como trigo;
Then the Lord said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded to have you, so that he might sift you like wheat.
32 Mas eu roguei por ti, para que a tua fé não desfaleça; e tu, quando te converteres, conforta a teus irmãos.
But I have prayed for yoʋ that yoʋr faith may not fail. Once yoʋ have turned back, strengthen yoʋr brothers.”
33 E ele lhe disse: Senhor, estou pronto a ir contigo até à prisão e à morte.
Peter said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with yoʋ both to prison and to death.”
34 Mas ele disse: Digo-te, Pedro, que não cantará hoje o galo antes que três vezes negues que me conheces.
Jesus said, “I tell yoʋ, Peter, a rooster will certainly not crow today before yoʋ have denied three times that yoʋ know me.”
35 E disse-lhes: Quando vos mandei sem bolsa, sem alforge, e sem alparcas, faltou-vos porventura alguma coisa? E disseram: Nada.
Then Jesus said to them, “When I sent you without a moneybag, knapsack, or sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.”
36 Disse-lhes pois: Mas agora, aquele que tiver bolsa, tome-a, como também o alforge; e, o que não tem espada, venda o seu vestido e compre-a;
Then he said to them, “But now he who has a moneybag must take it, and likewise a knapsack. And he who does not have a sword must sell his garment and buy one.
37 Porque vos digo que importa que em mim se cumpra ainda aquilo que está escrito: E com os malfeitores foi contado. Porque o que está escrito de mim tem seu cumprimento.
For I tell you that this Scripture must still be fulfilled in me: ‘He was numbered with the lawless.’ For what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment.”
38 E eles disseram: Senhor, eis aqui duas espadas. E ele lhes disse: Basta.
So they said, “Lord, behold, here are two swords.” He said to them, “That is enough!”
39 E, saindo, foi, como costumava, para o Monte das Oliveiras; e também os seus discípulos o seguiram.
Then Jesus went out and made his way to the Mount of Olives, as was his custom, and his disciples followed him.
40 E, quando chegou àquele lugar, disse-lhes: orai, para que não entreis em tentação.
When he came to the place, he said to them, “Pray that you will not enter into temptation.”
41 E apartou-se deles cerca de um tiro de pedra; e, pondo-se de joelhos, orava,
Then he withdrew from them about a stone's throw away and knelt down and prayed,
42 Dizendo: Pai, se queres, passa de mim este cálice, porém não se faça a minha vontade, senão a tua
“Father, if yoʋ are willing to take this cup away from me, do so; nevertheless, not my will, but yoʋrs be done.”
43 E apareceu-lhe um anjo do céu, que o confortava.
Then an angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.
44 E, posto em agonia, orava mais intensamente. E o seu suor fez-se como grandes gotas de sangue, que corriam até ao chão.
Being in agony, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground.
45 E, levantando-se da oração, veio para os seus discípulos, e achou-os dormindo de tristeza.
When he rose from prayer and came to the disciples, he found them sleeping because of their sorrow.
46 E disse-lhes: Que, estais dormindo? levantai-vos, e orai, para que não entreis em tentação.
So he said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.”
47 E, estando ele ainda a falar, eis que a multidão, e um dos doze, que se chamava Judas, ia adiante deles, e chegou-se a Jesus para o beijar.
While he was still speaking, behold, a crowd approached, and the man called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He drew near to Jesus to kiss him,
48 E Jesus lhe disse: Judas, com um beijo trais o Filho do homem?
and Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”
49 E os que estavam com ele, vendo o que ia suceder, disseram-lhe: Senhor, feriremos à espada?
When those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said to him, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?”
50 E um deles feriu o servo do sumo sacerdote, e cortou-lhe a orelha direita.
Then one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear.
51 E, respondendo Jesus, disse: deixai-os; basta. E, tocando-lhe a orelha, o curou.
But Jesus responded, “No more of this!” And he touched the man's ear and healed him.
52 E disse Jesus aos principais dos sacerdotes, e capitães do templo, e anciãos, que tinham ido contra ele: saístes, como a um salteador, com espadas e varapaus?
Then Jesus said to the chief priests, the officers of the temple, and the elders who had come out against him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs as you would against a robber?
53 Tendo estado todos os dias convosco no templo, não estendestes as mãos contra mim, porém esta é a vossa hora e o poder das trevas.
I was with you daily in the temple courts, and you did not lay a hand on me. But this is your hour, when the power of darkness reigns.”
54 Então, prendendo-o, o conduziram, e o meteram em casa do sumo sacerdote. E Pedro seguia-o de longe.
Then they arrested him, led him away, and brought him to the house of the high priest, and Peter was following at a distance.
55 E, havendo-se acendido fogo no meio da sala, e assentando-se juntos, assentou-se Pedro entre eles.
Some had kindled a fire there in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, and Peter sat down among them.
56 E uma certa criada, vendo-o estar assentado ao fogo, e, postos os olhos nele, disse: Este também estava com ele.
When a servant girl saw him sitting in the light of the fire, she looked at him intently and said, “This man also was with him.”
57 Porém ele negou-o, dizendo: Mulher, não o conheço.
But Peter denied him, saying, “Woman, I do not know him.”
58 E, um pouco depois, vendo-o outro, disse: Tu és também deles. Porém Pedro disse: Homem, não sou.
After a little while, someone else saw him and said, “Yoʋ also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.”
59 E, passada quase uma hora, um outro afirmava, dizendo: também este verdadeiramente estava com ele, pois também é galileu.
After about an hour had gone by, another man kept insisting, “Truly this man also was with him, for he too is a Galilean.”
60 E Pedro disse: Homem, não sei o que dizes. E logo, estando ele ainda a falar, cantou o galo.
But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what yoʋ are talking about!” And immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.
61 E, virando-se o Senhor, olhou para Pedro, e Pedro lembrou-se da palavra do Senhor, como lhe havia dito: Antes que o galo cante hoje, me negarás três vezes.
Then the Lord turned and looked at Peter, and Peter remembered what the Lord had said to him, “Before a rooster crows, yoʋ will deny me three times.”
62 E, saindo Pedro para fora, chorou amargamente.
And Peter went out and wept bitterly.
63 E os homens que detinham Jesus zombavam dele, ferindo-o.
Now the men who were holding Jesus in custody began mocking him and beating him.
64 E, cobrindo-o, feriam-no no rosto, e perguntavam-lhe, dizendo: profetiza quem é o que te feriu?
They also blindfolded him and kept striking his face, saying to him, “Prophesy! Who is it that struck yoʋ?”
65 E outras muitas coisas diziam contra ele, blasfemando.
And they said many other things against him, reviling him.
66 E, logo que foi dia, ajuntaram-se os anciãos do povo, e os principais dos sacerdotes e os escribas, e o conduziram ao seu concílio,
When daybreak came, the elders of the people gathered together, both chief priests and scribes, and they led Jesus up to their Sanhedrin and said,
67 Dizendo: És tu o Cristo? dize-no-lo. E disse-lhes: Se vo-lo disser, não o crereis;
“If yoʋ are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them, “If I tell you, you will surely not believe.
68 E também, se vos perguntar, não me respondereis, nem me soltareis.
And if I ask you a question, you will surely not answer me or release me.
69 Desde agora o Filho do homem se assentará à direita do poder de Deus.
But from now on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”
70 E disseram todos: Logo, és tu o Filho de Deus? E ele lhes disse: Vós dizeis que eu sou.
So they all said, “Are yoʋ then the Son of God?” He said to them, “You yourselves say that I am.”
71 E disseram eles: De que mais testemunho necessitamos? pois nós mesmos o ouvimos da sua boca.
Then they said, “What further testimony do we need? For we ourselves have heard it from his own mouth.”
