Lucas 11
1 E aconteceu que, estando ele a orar num certo lugar, quando acabou lhe disse um dos seus discípulos: Senhor, ensina-nos a orar, como também João ensinou aos seus discípulos.
And it came to pass, as he was in a certain place praying, that when he ceased one of his disciples said to him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.
2 E ele lhes disse: Quando orardes, dizei: Pai nosso, que estás nos céus, santificado seja o teu nome: venha o teu reino: seja feita a tua vontade, assim na terra como no céu;
And he said to them, When ye pray, say, Father, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come;
3 Dá-nos cada dia o nosso pão quotidiano.
give us day by day our daily bread;
4 E perdoa-nos os nossos pecados, pois também nós perdoamos a qualquer que nos deve; e não nos metas em tentação, mas livra-nos do mal
and forgive us our sins, for even we ourselves forgive every one that is indebted to us; and lead us not into temptation.
5 Disse-lhes também: Qual de vós terá um amigo, e, se for procura-lo à meia noite, e lhe disser: Amigo, empresta-me três pães,
And he said to them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go to him at midnight, and say to him Friend, lend me three loaves;
6 Porquanto um amigo meu chegou a minha casa, vindo de caminho, e não tenho que apresentar-lhe;
for a friend of mine hath come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him?
7 Ele, respondendo de dentro, diga: Não me importunes; já está a porta fechada, e os meus filhos estão comigo na cama: não posso levantar-me para tos dar?
And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not; the door is now shut, and I and my children are in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.
8 Digo-vos que, ainda que se não levante a dar-lhos, por ser seu amigo, levantar-se-a, todavia, por causa da sua importunação, e lhe dará tudo o que houver míster.
I say to you, though he will not rise and give him because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.
9 E eu digo-vos, a vós: Pedi, e dar-se-vos-a: buscai, e achareis: batei, e abrir-se-vos-a;
And I say to you, Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and ye will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
10 Porque qualquer que pede recebe; e quem busca, acha; e a quem bate abrir-se-lhe-a.
For every one that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh, findeth; and to him that knocketh, the door will be opened.
11 E qual o pai dentre vós que, se o filho lhe pedir pão, lhe dará uma pedra? Ou também, se lhe pedir peixe, lhe dará por peixe uma serpente?
And what father is there, among you, who, if his son ask for bread, will give him a stone? or if he ask for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent?
12 Ou também, se lhe pedir um ovo, lhe dará um escorpião?
or, if he ask for an egg, will give him a scorpion?
13 Pois se vós, sendo maus, sabeis dar boas dádivas aos vossos filhos, quanto mais dará o nosso Pai celestial o Espírito Santo àqueles que lho pedirem?
If ye then, though evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
14 E estava expulsando um demônio, o qual era mudo. E aconteceu que, saindo o demônio, o mudo falou; e maravilhou-se a multidão.
And he was casting out a demon, and it was dumb; and it came to pass, when the demon had gone out, that the dumb man spoke. And the multitudes wondered.
15 Porém alguns deles diziam: ele expulsa os demônios por Belzebú, príncipe dos demônios.
But some of them said, He casteth out the demons through Beelzebul, the prince of the demons;
16 E outros, tentando-o, pediam-lhe um sinal do céu.
and others, to make trial of him, asked of him a sign from heaven.
17 Mas, conhecendo ele os seus pensamentos, disse-lhes: Todo o reino, dividido contra si mesmo, será assolado; e a casa, dividida contra si mesma, cairá.
But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and house divided against house falleth.
18 E, se também Satanás está dividido contra si mesmo, como subsistirá o seu reino? Pois dizeis que eu expulso os demônios por Belzebú;
And if Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? For ye say that I cast out the demons through Beelzebul.
19 E, se eu expulso os demônios por Belzebú, por quem os expulsam os vossos filhos? eles pois serão os vossos juízes.
But if I cast out the demons through Beelzebul, through whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore shall they be judges of you.
20 Mas, se eu expulso os demônios pelo dedo de Deus, certamente a vós é chegado o reino de Deus.
But if I cast out the demons through the finger of God, then hath the kingdom of God already come to you.
21 Quando o homem valente guarda armado a sua casa, em segurança está tudo quanto tem.
When a strong man armed guardeth his palace, his goods are in peace;
22 Mas, sobrevindo outro mais valente do que ele, e vencendo-o, tira-lhe toda a sua armadura em que confiava, e reparte os seus despojos.
but when one stronger than he cometh upon him and overcometh him, he taketh from him his whole armor wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
23 Quem não é comigo é contra mim; e quem comigo não ajunta espalha.
He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
24 Quando o espírito imundo tem saído do homem, anda por lugares secos, buscando repouso; e, não o achando, diz: Tornarei para minha casa, de onde saí.
When the unclean spirit is gone out from a man, it goeth through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, it saith, I will return to my house whence I came out.
25 E, chegando, acha-a varrida e adornada.
And on coming, it findeth it swept and put in order.
26 Então vai, e leva consigo outros sete espíritos piores do que ele, e, entrando, habitam ali: e o último estado desse homem é pior do que o primeiro.
Then it goeth, and taketh with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they enter in, and dwell there; and the last state of that man becometh worse than the first.
27 E aconteceu que, dizendo ele estas coisas, uma mulher dentre a multidão, levantando a voz, lhe disse: bem-aventurado o ventre que te trouxe e os peitos em que mamaste.
And it came to pass, as he was saying these things, that a certain woman lifted up her voice from the crowd, and said to him, Blessed is the womb that bore thee, and the breasts from which thou drewest nourishment.
28 Mas ele disse: Antes bem-aventurados os que ouvem a palavra de Deus e a guardam.
But he said, Blessed rather are they that hear the word of God and keep it.
29 E, ajuntando-se a multidão, começou a dizer: Maligna é esta geração: ela pede um sinal; e não lhe será dado outro sinal, senão o sinal do profeta Jonas:
And when the crowds were thronging about him, he began to say, This generation is a wicked generation; it seeketh a sign; and no sign will be given it, but the sign of Jonah.
30 Porque, assim como Jonas foi sinal para os ninivitas, assim o Filho do homem o será também para esta geração.
For as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites, so will also the Son of man be to this generation.
31 A rainha do sul se levantará no juízo com os homens desta geração, e os condenará; pois até dos confins da terra veio ouvir a sabedoria de Salomão; e eis aqui está quem é maior do que Salomão
The queen of the south will rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and will condemn them; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and lo! something more than Solomon is here.
32 Os homens de Nínive se levantarão no juízo com esta geração, e a condenarão; pois se converteram com a pregação de Jonas, e eis aqui está quem é maior do que Jonas.
The men of Nineveh will stand up in the judgment with this generation, and will condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and lo! something more than Jonah is here.
33 E ninguém, acendendo a candeia, a põe em lugar oculto, nem debaixo do alqueire; porém no velador, para que os que entrarem vejam a luz.
No one when he has lighted a lamp, puts it into a secret place, or under the bushel, but on the lamp-stand, that they who come in may see the light.
34 A candeia do corpo é o olho. Sendo pois o teu olho simples, também todo o teu corpo será luminoso, mas, se for mau, também o teu corpo será tenebroso.
The lamp of the body is thine eye. When thine eye is clear, thy whole body also is in the light; but when it is disordered, thy body also is in darkness.
35 Vê pois que a tua luz que em ti há não sejam trevas.
Take heed therefore, that the light which is within thee be not darkness.
36 Se, pois, todo o teu corpo é luminoso, não tendo em trevas parte alguma, todo será luminoso, como quando a candeia te alumia com o seu resplendor.
If then thy whole body is enlightened, having no part dark, the whole will be as fully enlightened, as when a lamp with its bright shining giveth thee light.
37 E, estando ele ainda falando, rogou-lhe um fariseo que fosse jantar com ele; e, entrando, assentou-se à mesa.
And when he had done speaking, a Pharisee asked him to dine with him. And he went in and reclined at the table.
38 Mas o fariseo admirou-se, vendo que se não lavara antes de jantar.
And the Pharisee, seeing it, wondered that he did not bathe before dinner.
39 E o Senhor lhe disse; Vós, os fariseus, limpais agora o exterior do copo e do prato; porém o vosso interior está cheio de rapina e maldade.
But the Lord said to him, Now ye Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inside is full of rapacity and wickedness.
40 Loucos! o que fez o exterior, não fez também o interior?
Fools, did not he who made the outside, make the inside also?
41 Antes dai esmola do que tiverdes, e eis que tudo vos será limpo.
But give what they contain in alms, and lo! all is clean to you.
42 Mas ai de vós, fariseus, que dizimais a hortelã, e a arruda, e toda a hortaliça, e desprezais o juízo e amor de Deus. Importava fazer estas coisas, e não deixar as outras.
But woe to you Pharisees! for ye pay tithes of the mint, and the rue, and every herb; and pass by justice and the love of God. These ought ye to have done, and not to leave those undone.
43 Ai de vós, fariseus, que amais os primeiros assentos nas sinagogas, e as saudações nas praças.
Woe to you Pharisees! for ye love the chief seats in the synagogues, and salutations in the markets.
44 Ai de vós, escribas e fariseus hipócritas, que sois como as sepulturas que não aparecem, e os homens que sobre elas andam não o sabem.
Woe to you, for ye are as tombs which are unseen, and men walking over them know it not.
45 E, respondendo um dos doutores da lei, disse-lhe: Mestre, quando dizes isto, também nos afrontas a nós.
And one of the lawyers answering saith to him, Teacher, in saying these things, thou revilest us also.
46 Porém ele disse: Ai de vós também, doutores da lei, que carregais os homens com cargas difíceis de transportar, e vós mesmos nem ainda com um dos vossos dedos tocais nas ditas cargas.
And he said, To you lawyers also, woe! for ye load men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.
47 Ai de vós que edificais os sepulcros dos profetas, e vossos pais os mataram.
Woe to you! for ye build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
48 Bem testificais, pois, que consentis nas obras de vossos pais; porque eles os mataram, e vós edificais os seus sepulcros.
So then ye bear witness to and approve the deeds of your fathers; for they indeed killed them, and ye are building [[their tombs]].
49 Portanto diz também a sabedoria de Deus: profetas e apóstolos lhes mandarei; e eles matarão uns, e perseguirão outros;
Therefore the wisdom of God also said, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will kill and persecute;
50 Para que desta geração seja requerido o sangue de todos os profetas que, desde a fundação do mundo, foi derramado,
that the blood of all the prophets, which hath been shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;
51 Desde o sangue de Abel, até ao sangue de Zacarias, que foi morto entre o altar e o templo; assim, vos digo, será requerido desta geração.
from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was slain between the altar and the temple. Yea, I tell you, it will be required of this generation.
52 Ai de vós, doutores da lei, que tirastes a chave da ciência; vós mesmos não entrastes, e impedistes os que entravam.
Woe to you lawyers! because ye have taken away the key of knowledge; ye have not entered yourselves, and those who were entering ye have hindered.
53 E, dizendo-lhes estas coisas, os escribas e os fariseus começaram a aperta-lo fortemente, e a faze-lo falar acerca de muitas coisas,
And as he came out thence, the scribes and the Pharisees began to be very spiteful, and to press him to speak off hand about many things,
54 Armando-lhe ciladas, a fim de apanharem da sua boca alguma coisa para o acusarem.
lying in wait to catch something out of his mouth.
