Juízes 10
1 E depois de Abimelech, se levantou, para livrar a Israel, Tola, filho de Puah, filho de Dodo, homem de Issacar: e habitava em Samir, na montanha de Ephraim.
And there arose, after Abimelech, to save Israel—Tola son of Puah son of Dodo, a man of Issachar, —and, he, used to sit in Shamir, in the hill country of Ephraim;
2 E julgou a Israel vinte e três anos: e morreu, e foi sepultado em Samir.
and he judged Israel, twenty-three years, —and died, and was buried in Shamir.
3 E depois dele se levantou Jair, gileadita, e julgou a Israel vinte e dois anos.
And there arose, after him, Jair the Gileadite, —and judged Israel twenty-two years.
4 E tinha este trinta filhos, que cavalgavam sobre trinta jumentos; e tinham trinta cidades, a que chamaram Havoth-jair, até ao dia de hoje; as quais estão na terra de Gilead.
Now he had thirty sons, that rode on thirty ass colts, and they had, thirty cities, —they are called Havvoth-jair, until this day, which are in the land of Gilead.
5 E morreu Jair, e foi sepultado em Camon.
And Jair died, and was buried in Kamon.
6 Então tornaram os filhos de Israel a fazer o que parecia mal aos olhos do Senhor, e serviram aos baalins, e a Astaroth, e aos deuses da Síria, e aos deuses de Sidon, e aos deuses de Moab, e aos deuses dos filhos de Ammon, e aos deuses dos philisteus: e deixaram ao Senhor, e não o serviram.
And the sons of Israel again did the thing that was wicked in the sight of Yahweh, and served the Baals and the Ashtoreths, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the sons of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, —and forsook Yahweh, and served him not.
7 E a ira do Senhor se acendeu contra Israel: e vendeu-os em mão dos philisteus, e em mão dos filhos de Ammon.
So the anger of Yahweh kindled upon Israel, —and he sold them into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the sons of Ammon;
8 E naquele mesmo ano oprimiram e vexaram aos filhos de Israel: dezoito anos oprimiram a todos os filhos de Israel que estavam de além do Jordão, na terra dos amorreus, que está em Gilead.
and they enfeebled and oppressed the sons of Israel in that year, —eighteen years, did they this unto all the sons of Israel who were beyond the Jordan, in the land of the Amorites, that was in Gilead.
9 Até os filhos de Ammon passaram o Jordão, para pelejar também contra Judá, e contra Benjamin, e contra a casa de Ephraim: de maneira que Israel ficou mui angustiado.
And the sons of Ammon crossed the Jordan, to fight, even against Judah and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim, —so that Israel was sore distressed.
10 Então os filhos de Israel clamaram ao Senhor, dizendo: Contra ti havemos pecado, em que deixamos a nosso Deus, e em que servimos aos baalins.
Then did the sons of Israel make outcry unto Yahweh, saying, —We have sinned against thee, because we have forsaken our God, and have served the Baals.
11 Porém o Senhor disse aos filhos de Israel: Porventura dos egípcios, e dos amorreus, e dos filhos de Ammon, e dos philisteus,
Then said Yahweh unto the sons of Israel, —Was it not, from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, [that I saved you]?
12 E dos sidônios, e dos amalequitas, e dos maonitas, que vos oprimiam, quando a mim chamastes, não vos livrei eu então da sua mão?
The Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, oppressed you, —and ye made outcry unto me, and I saved you out of their hand.
13 Contudo vós me deixastes a mim, e servistes a outros deuses: pelo que não vos livrarei mais.
Yet have, ye, forsaken me, and served other gods, —therefore will I not again save you.
14 Andai, e clamai aos deuses que escolhestes: que vos livrem eles no tempo do vosso aperto.
Go and make outcry unto the gods whom ye have chosen, —they, must save you, in the time of your tribulation.
15 Mas os filhos de Israel disseram ao Senhor: pecamos, faze-nos conforme a tudo quanto te parecer bem aos teus olhos; tão somente te rogamos que nos livres neste dia.
And the sons of Israel said unto Yahweh—We have sinned, do, thou, with us, according to all that is fitting in thine eyes, —only rescue us, we beseech thee this day.
16 E tiraram os deuses alheios do meio de si, e serviram ao Senhor: então se angustiou a sua alma por causa do trabalho de Israel.
And they put away the gods of the stranger out of their midst, and served Yahweh, —and his soul was impatient of the misery of Israel.
17 E os filhos de Ammon se convocaram, e se puseram em campo em Gilead: e também os de Israel se congregaram, e se puseram em campo em Mispah.
Now the sons of Ammon were called out, and they encamped in Gilead, —and the sons of Israel assembled themselves together, and encamped in Mizpah.
18 Então o povo, os príncipes de Gilead disseram uns aos outros: Quem será o varão que começará a pelejar contra os filhos de Ammon? ele será por Cabeça de todos os moradores de Gilead
Then said the people, the princes of Gilead, one to another, Who is the man that will begin to fight against the sons of Ammon? he shall become head to all the inhabitants of Gilead.
