Jó 32
1 Então aqueles três homens cessaram de responder a Job; porque era justo aos seus próprios olhos.
So these three men ceased to respond to Job, because, he, was righteous in their eyes.
2 E acendeu-se a ira de Elihu, filho de Baracheel o buzita, da família de Ram: contra Job se acendeu a sua ira, porque se justificava a si mesmo, mais do que a Deus.
Then was kindled the anger of Elihu, son of Barachel the Buzite of the family of Ram, —against Job, was kindled his anger, because he justified his own soul rather than God;
3 Também a sua ira se acendeu contra os seus três amigos: porque, não achando que responder, todavia condenavam a Job.
and, against his three friends, was kindled his anger, —because that they found not a response, and condemned God.
4 Elihu porém esperou que Job falasse; porquanto tinham mais idade do que ele.
But, Elihu, had waited for Job with words, because the others were older than he.
5 Vendo pois Elihu que já não havia resposta na boca daqueles três homens, a sua ira se acendeu.
Howbeit, when Elihu saw that there was no response in the mouth of the three men, then was kindled his anger.
6 E respondeu Elihu, filho de Baracheel o buzita, e disse: Eu sou de menos idade, e vós sois idosos; receei-me e temi de vos declarar a minha opinião.
So then Elihu, son of Barachel, the Buzite, responded and said: —Young, am I, whereas, ye, are aged, For this cause, I faltered, and feared—to shew my knowledge unto you:
7 Dizia eu: falem os dias, e a multidão doa anos ensine a sabedoria.
I said, Days, should speak, —and, the multitude of years, should make known wisdom.
8 Na verdade, há um espírito no homem, e a inspiração do Todo-poderoso os faz entendidos.
Yet surely, there is a spirit in men, and, the inspiration of the Almighty, giveth them understanding;
9 Os grandes não são os sábios, nem os velhos entendem juízo.
Great men, may not be wise, nor, elders, understand justice.
10 Pelo que digo: dai-me ouvidos, e também eu declararei a minha opinião.
Therefore, I said, Hearken unto me, I will show my knowledge—even I.
11 Eis que aguardei as vossas palavras, e dei ouvidos às vossas considerações, até que buscasseis razões.
Lo! I waited for your words, I kept giving ear for your reasons, until ye should search out what to say;
12 Atentando pois para vós, eis que nenhum de vós há que possa convencer a Job, nem que responda às suas razões:
Yea, unto you, gave I diligent heed, —But lo! there was, for Job, nothing to convince, nor could you of you answer his speeches.
13 Para que não digais: Achamos a sabedoria; Deus o derribou, e não homem algum.
Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom. GOD, must put him to flight, not man.
14 Ora ele não dirigiu contra mim palavra alguma, nem lhe responderei com as vossas palavras.
Since he directed not to me discourse, therefore, with your speeches, will I not reply to him.
15 Estão pasmados, não respondem mais, faltam-lhes as palavras.
They were dismayed, they responded no more, they suffered speech to forsake them;
16 Esperei pois, porém não falam: porque já pararam, e não respondem mais.
Though I waited, yet could they not speak, Surely they came to a stand, they responded no more.
17 Também eu responderei pela minha parte: também eu declararei a minha opinião.
I will respond, even I—on my part, I will shew my knowledge, even I!
18 Porque estou cheio de palavras, e aperta-me o espírito do meu ventre.
For I am full of discourse, The spirit in my bosom, presseth me on.
19 Eis que o meu ventre é como o mosto, sem respiradouro, e virá a arrebentar, como odres novos.
Lo! my bosom, is like wine not opened, Like new wine-skins, it will burst.
20 Falarei, e respirarei: abrirei os meus lábios, e responderei.
I will speak, that I may freely breathe, I will open my lips and respond.
21 Oxalá eu não faça acepção de pessoas, nem use de sobrenomes com o homem!
Let me be partial to no man, and, unto no son of earth, give flattering titles,
22 Porque não sei usar de sobrenomes: em breve me levaria o meu criador.
Surely I know not how to give flattering titles, How soon might my Maker take me away!
