Jeremias 32
1 A palavra que veio a Jeremias da parte do Senhor, no ano décimo de Zedekias, rei de Judá; este ano foi o ano dezoito de Nabucodonozor
The word which came to Jeremiah from Jehovah in the tenth year of Zedekiah, the king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.
2 (Cercava, porém, então o exército do rei de Babilônia a Jerusalém; e Jeremias, o profeta, estava encerrado no pátio da guarda que estava na casa do rei de Judá;
And at that time the army of the king of Babylon was laying siege to Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the house of the king of Judah.
3 Porque Zedekias, rei de Judá, o tinha encerrado, dizendo: Porque profetizas tu, dizendo: Assim diz o Senhor: Eis que entrego esta cidade na mão do rei de Babilônia, e ele a tomará;
For Zedekiah, the king of Judah, had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, “Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I am about to give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;
4 E Zedekias, rei de Judá, não escapará das mãos dos caldeus; mas certamente será entregue na mão do rei de Babilônia, e com ele falará boca a boca, e os seus olhos verão os dele
and Zedekiah, the king of Judah, shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldaeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;
5 E levará Zedekias para Babilônia, e ali estará, até que eu visite, diz o Senhor, e, ainda que pelejeis contra os caldeus, não ganhareis?)
and he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith Jehovah; though ye fight with the Chaldaeans, ye shall not prosper?”
6 Disse pois Jeremias: veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:
Then said Jeremiah, The word of Jehovah came to me, and said:
7 Eis que Hanameel, filho de Sallum, teu tio, virá a ti, dizendo: Compra para ti a minha herdade que está em Anathot, pois tens o direito de resgate para compra-la.
Behold, Hanameel, the son of Shallum, thine uncle, will come to thee, and say, Buy thee my field which is in Anathoth, for thine is the redemption-right to buy it.
8 Veio pois a mim Hanameel, filho de meu tio, segundo a palavra do Senhor, ao pátio da guarda, e me disse: Compra agora a minha herdade que está em Anathot, que está na terra de Benjamin; porque tens o direito hereditário, e tens o resgate; compra-a para ti. Então entendi que isto era a palavra do Senhor.
And so Hanameel, the son of my uncle, came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of Jehovah, and said to me: Buy, I pray thee, my field, which is in Anathoth, for thine is the right of inheritance and redemption; buy it for thyself! Then I knew that this was the word of Jehovah.
9 Comprei pois a herdade de Hanameel, filho de meu tio, a qual está em Anathot; e pesei-lhe o dinheiro, dezesete siclos de prata.
I bought, therefore, the field of Hanameel, my uncle's son, in Anathoth, and I paid him the money, seventeen shekels of silver.
10 E subscrevi o auto, e selei-o, e o fiz testificar por testemunhas: e pesei-lhe o dinheiro numa balança.
And I wrote a deed, and sealed it, and took witnesses thereto, and weighed the silver in the balances.
11 E tomei o auto da compra, tanto o selado, conforme o mandado e os estatutos, como o aberto.
And I took the purchase-deed, that which was sealed according to the law and the statutes, and that which was open,
12 E dei o auto da compra a Baruch, filho de Nerias, filho de Maaseias, perante os olhos de Hanameel, filho de meu tio, e perante os olhos das testemunhas, que subscreveram o conhecimento da compra, e perante os olhos de todos os judeus que se assentavam no pátio da guarda.
and I gave the purchase-deed to Baruch, the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the presence of Hanameel, my uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses, who subscribed their names to the purchase-deed, and in the presence of all the Jews who sat in the court of the prison.
13 E dei ordem a Baruch, perante os olhos deles, dizendo:
And I charged Baruch in their presence, saying,
14 Assim diz o Senhor dos exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Toma estes autos, este auto de compra, tanto o selado, como o aberto, e mete-os num vaso de barro, para que se possam conservar muitos dias,
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Take these writings, this sealed purchase-deed, and this open deed, and put them into an earthen vessel, that they may endure a great length of time.
15 Porque assim diz o Senhor dos exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Ainda se comprarão casas, e campos, e vinhas nesta terra.
For thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Yet again shall houses and fields and vineyards be bought in this land.
16 E depois que dei o auto da compra a Baruch, filho de Nerias, orei ao Senhor, dizendo:
And when I had delivered the purchase-deed to Baruch, the son of Neriah, I prayed to Jehovah, saying,
17 Ah Senhor Jehovah! eis que tu fizeste os céus e a terra com a tua grande potência, e com o teu braço estendido: não te é maravilhosa coisa alguma:
Ah, Lord, Jehovah! Behold, thou hast made the heavens and the earth by thy great power and thy stretched-out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.
18 Que usas de benignidade com milhares, e rendes a maldade dos pais no seio dos filhos depois deles: o grande, o poderoso Deus cujo nome é o Senhor dos exércitos:
Thou showest kindness to a thousand generations, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of the children who come after them. The great, the mighty God, Jehovah of hosts is his name,
19 Grande em conselho, e magnífico em feito; porque os teus olhos estão abertos sobre todos os caminhos dos filhos dos homens, para dar a cada um segundo os seus caminhos e segundo o fruto das suas obras:
great in counsel and mighty in work; for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men, to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings;
20 Que puseste sinais e maravilhas na terra do Egito até ao dia de hoje, tanto em Israel, como entre os outros homens, e te fizeste um nome, qual tu tens neste dia.
who hast displayed signs and wonders in the land of Egypt even to this day, and in Israel, and among other men, and hast made thee a name, as at this day;
21 E tiraste o teu povo Israel da terra do Egito, com sinais e com maravilhas, e com mão forte, e com braço estendido, e com grande espanto,
and hast brought forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched-out arm, and with great terror,
22 E lhes deste esta terra, que juraste a seus pais que lhes havias de dar: terra que mana leite e mel.
and hast given them this land, which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;
23 E entraram nela, e a possuiram, porém não obedeceram à tua voz, nem andaram na tua lei; tudo o que lhes mandaste que fizessem, eles não o fizeram; pelo que fizeste que lhes sucedesse todo este mal
and they have come in and possessed it; but they have not obeyed thy voice, nor walked according to thy law. They have done nothing of all which thou commandedst them to do. Therefore hast thou caused all this evil to come upon them.
24 Eis aqui os valados! já vieram contra a cidade para toma-la, e a cidade está dada na mão dos caldeus, que pelejam contra ela, por causa da espada, e da fome, e da pestilência; e o que falaste se ez, e eis aqui o estás presenciando.
Behold, the mounds of the enemy have already come up against the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldaeans, who fight against it by means of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence; and what thou hast spoken is come to pass, and, behold, thou seest it.
25 Contudo tu me disseste, Senhor Jehovah: Compra para ti o campo por dinheiro, e faze que o testifiquem testemunhas, posto que a cidade esteja já dada na mão dos caldeus.
And yet hast thou said to me, O Lord Jehovah, “Buy thee the field for money, and take witnesses thereto!” when the city is given into the hand of the Chaldaeans.
26 Então veio a palavra do Senhor a Jeremias, dizendo:
Then came the word of Jehovah to Jeremiah, saying:
27 Eis que eu sou o Senhor Deus de toda a carne: porventura ser-me-ia coisa alguma maravilhosa?
Behold, I, Jehovah, am the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?
28 Portanto assim diz o Senhor: Eis que eu entrego esta cidade na mão dos caldeus, e na mão de Nabucodonozor, rei de Babilônia, e toma-la-á.
Therefore thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldaeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, and he shall take it.
29 E os caldeus, que pelejam contra esta cidade, entrarão nela, porão fogo a esta cidade, e queimarão juntamente as casas sobre cujos terraços queimarão incenso a Baal e oferecerão libações a outros deuses, para me provocarem à ira.
And the Chaldaeans who fight against this city shall come and set this city on fire, and burn it, with the houses upon whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal, and poured out incense to other gods, to provoke me to anger.
30 Porque os filhos de Israel e os filhos de Judá não fizeram senão mal aos meus olhos, desde a sua mocidade; porque os filhos de Israel somente me provocaram à ira com as obras das suas mãos, diz o Senhor.
For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have done nothing but evil before me from their youth; yea, the children of Israel have but provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, saith Jehovah.
31 Porque para a minha ira e para o meu furor me foi esta cidade, desde o dia em que a edificaram, e até ao dia de hoje, para que a tirasse da minha face;
For this city hath been the object of my anger and my fury, from the day when they built it even to this day; that I might remove it from before my face,
32 Por toda a maldade dos filhos de Israel, e dos filhos de Judá, que fizeram, para me provocarem à ira, assim ele como os seus reis, os seus príncipes, os seus sacerdotes, e os seus profetas, como também os homens de Judá e os moradores de Jerusalém.
because of all the wickedness of the children of Israel, and of the children of Judah, which they have committed to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
33 E me viraram as costas, e não o rosto: ainda que eu os ensinava, madrugando e ensinando-os, contudo eles não ouviram, para receberem o ensino.
For they have turned to me the back, and not the face; though I have taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet have they not hearkened to receive instruction.
34 Antes puseram as suas abominações na casa que se chama pelo meu nome, para a profanarem.
And they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.
35 E edificaram os altos de Baal, que estão no vale do filho de Hinnom, para fazerem que seus filhos e suas filhas passassem pelo fogo a Moloch; o que nunca lhes ordenei, nem subiu ao meu coração, que fizessem tal abominação; para fazerem pecar a Judá.
And they have built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Moloch, which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should practise their abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
36 E por isso agora assim diz o Senhor o Deus de Israel, acerca desta cidade, da qual vós dizeis: Já está dada na mão do rei de Babilônia, à espada, e à fome, e à pestilência:
Yet now thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel concerning this city, of which ye say, “It is delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.”
37 Eis que eu os congregarei de todas as terras, para onde os houver lançado na minha ira, e no meu furor, e na minha grande indignação; e os tornarei a trazer a este lugar, e farei que habitem nele seguramente.
Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries whither I have driven them in my anger and my fury and my great wrath, and I will bring them back to this place, and I will cause them to dwell securely,
38 E me serão por povo, e eu lhes serei por Deus.
and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
39 E lhes darei um mesmo coração, e um mesmo caminho, para que me temam todos os dias, para seu bem, e de seus filhos, depois deles.
And I will give them one heart, and one way, to fear me continually, that it may be well with them, and with their children after them.
40 E farei com eles um concerto eterno, que não tornarei de após eles, para fazer-lhes bem; e porei o meu temor no seu coração, para que nunca se apartem de mim
And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, nor cease to do them good; for I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.
41 E alegrar-me-ei deles, fazendo-lhes bem; e os plantarei nesta terra certamente, com todo o meu coração e com toda a minha alma.
Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land in truth, with my whole heart, and with my whole soul.
42 Porque assim diz o Senhor: Como eu trouxe sobre este povo todo este grande mal, assim eu trarei sobre ele todo o bem que eu falo a respeito dele.
For thus saith Jehovah: As I have brought upon this people all this great evil, so will I bring upon them all the good which I have promised them.
43 E comprar-se-ão campos nesta terra, da qual vós dizeis: Já está tão deserta, que não há nela nem homem nem animal; está dada na mão dos caldeus.
And fields shall yet be bought in this land, of which ye say, “It is desolate, without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldaeans.”
44 Comprarão campos por dinheiro, e subscreverão os autos, e os selarão, e farão que testifiquem testemunhas na terra de Benjamin, e nos contornos de Jerusalém, e nas cidades de Judá, e nas cidades das montanhas, e nas cidades das planícies, e nas cidades do sul; porque os farei voltar do seu cativeiro, diz o Senhor.
Fields shall men buy for money, and subscribe deeds, and seal them, and take witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the hill-country, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south; for I will bring them back from their captivity, saith Jehovah.
