Isaías 66
1 Assim diz o Senhor: Os céus são o meu trono, e a terra o escabelo dos meus pés: qual seria a casa que vós me edificarieis? e qual seria o lugar do meu descanço?
Thus saith the Lord, The heauen is my throne, and the earth is my footestoole: where is that house that ye will builde vnto me? and where is that place of my rest?
2 Porque a minha mão fez todas estas coisas, e assim todas estas coisas foram feitas, diz o Senhor; mas para esse olharei, para o pobre e abatido de espírito, e que treme da minha palavra.
For all these things hath mine hand made, and all these things haue bene, sayth the Lord: and to him will I looke, euen to him, that is poore, and of a contrite spirite and trembleth at my wordes.
3 Quem mata um boi é como o que fere um homem; quem sacrifica um cordeiro é como o que degola um cão; quem oferece uma oblação é como o que oferece sangue de porco; quem oferece incenso memorativo é como o que bendiz a um ídolo: também estes escolhem os seus próprios caminhos, e a sua alma toma prazer nas suas abominações;
He that killeth a bullocke, is as if he slewe a man: he that sacrificeth a sheepe, as if he cut off a dogges necke: he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swines blood: he that remembreth incense, as if he blessed an idole: yea, they haue chosen their owne wayes, and their soule deliteth in their abominations.
4 Também eu escolherei seus escárneos, farei vir sobre eles os seus temores; porquanto clamei e ninguém respondeu, falei, e não escutaram; mas fizeram o que parece mal aos meus olhos, e escolheram aquilo em que não tinha prazer.
Therefore will I chuse out their delusions, and I will bring their feare vpon them, because I called, and none woulde answere: I spake and they woulde not heare: but they did euill in my sight, and chose the things which I would not.
5 Ouvi a palavra do Senhor, os que tremeis da sua palavra. Vossos irmãos, que vos aborrecem e longe de si vos separam por amor do meu nome, dizem: Glorifique-se o Senhor; porém aparecerá para a vossa alegria, e eles serão confundidos.
Heare the worde of the Lord, all ye that tremble at his worde, Your brethren that hated you, and cast you out for my Names sake, said, Let the Lord be glorified: but he shall appeare to your ioy, and they shall be ashamed.
6 Uma voz de grande rumor haverá da cidade, uma voz do templo, a voz do Senhor, que dá o pago aos seus inimigos.
A voyce soundeth from the citie, euen a voyce from the Temple, the voyce of the Lord, that recompenseth his enemies fully.
7 Antes que estivesse de parto, pariu; antes que lhe viessem as dores, deu à luz um filho macho.
Before she trauailed, she brought foorth: and before her paine came, she was deliuered of a man childe.
8 Quem jamais ouviu tal coisa? quem viu coisas semelhantes? poder-se-ia fazer parir uma terra num só dia? nasceria uma nação de uma só vez? mas já Sião esteve de parto e já pariu seus filhos.
Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seene such things? shall ye earth be brought forth in one day? or shall a nation be borne at once? for assoone as Zion trauailed, she brought foorth her children.
9 Abriria eu a madre, e não geraria? diz o Senhor: geraria eu, e fechar-me-ia? diz o teu Deus.
Shall I cause to trauaile, and not bring forth? shall I cause to bring forth, and shall be baren, saith thy God?
10 Gozai-vos com Jerusalém, e alegrai-vos dela, vós todos os que a amais: alegrai-vos com ela de alegria, todos os que pranteastes por ela;
Reioyce ye with Ierusalem, and be gladde with her, all ye that loue her: reioyce for ioy with her, all ye that mourne for her,
11 Para que mameis, e vos farteis dos peitos das suas consolações: para que chupeis, e vos deleiteis com o resplandor da sua glória.
That ye may sucke and be satisfied with the brestes of her consolation: that ye may milke out and be delited with ye brightnes of her glorie.
12 Porque assim diz o Senhor: Eis que estenderei sobre ela a paz como um rio, e a glória das nações como um ribeiro que trasborda; então mamareis, ao colo vos trarão, e sobre os joelhos vos afagarão.
For thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I will extend peace ouer her like a flood, and the glorie of the Gentiles like a flowing streame: then shall ye sucke, ye shall be borne vpon her sides, and be ioyfull vpon her knees.
13 Como alguém a quem consola sua mãe, assim eu vos consolarei; e em Jerusalém vós sereis consolados.
As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you, and ye shall be comforted in Ierusalem.
14 E o vereis e alegrar-se-á o vosso coração, e os vossos ossos reverdecerão como a erva tenra: então a mão do Senhor será notória aos seus servos, e ele se indignará contra os seus inimigos.
And when ye see this, your hearts shall reioyce, and your bones shall flourish like an herbe: and the hand of the Lord shall be knowen among his seruants, and his indignation against his enemies.
15 Porque, eis que o Senhor virá em fogo; e os seus carros como um torvelinho; para tornar a sua ira em furor, e a sua repreensão em chamas de fogo.
For beholde, the Lord will come with fire, and his charets like a whirlewinde, that he may recompence his anger with wrath, and his indignation with the flame of fire.
16 Porque com fogo e com a sua espada entrará o Senhor em juízo com toda a carne; e os mortos do Senhor serão multiplicados.
For the Lord will iudge with fire, and with his sworde all flesh, and the slaine of the Lord shall be many.
17 Os que se santificam, e se purificam nos jardins uns após os outros, no meio deles: os que comem carne de porco, e a abominação, e o rato: juntamente serão consumidos, diz o Senhor.
They that sanctifie themselues, and purifie themselues in the gardens behinde one tree in the middes eating swines flesh, and such abomination, euen the mouse, shall be consumed together, sayeth the Lord.
18 Porque conheço as suas obras e os seus pensamentos! o tempo vem em que ajuntarei todas as nações e línguas; e virão, e verão a minha glória.
For I will visite their workes, and their imaginations: for it shall come that I will gather all nations, and tongues, and they shall come, and see my glorie.
19 E porei entre eles um sinal, e os que deles escaparem enviarei às nações, a Tarsis, Pul, e Lud, flecheiros a Tubal e Javan, até às ilhas de mais longe, que não ouviram a minha fama, nem viram a minha glória; e anunciarão a minha glória entre as nações
And I will set a signe among them, and will send those that escape of them, vnto the nations of Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, and to them that drawe the bowe, to Tubal and Tauan, yles afarre off, that haue not heard my fame, neither haue seene my glorie, and they shall declare my glorie among the Gentiles.
20 E trarão a todos os vossos irmãos, dentre todas as nações, de presente ao Senhor, sobre cavalos, e em carros, e em liteiras, e sobre mulas, e sobre dromedários, ao meu santo monte, a Jerusalém, diz o Senhor: como quando os filhos de Israel trazem os seus presentes em vasos limpos à casa do Senhor:
And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering vnto the Lord out of all nations, vpon horses, and in charets, and in horse litters, and vpon mules, and swift beastes, to Ierusalem mine holy Mountaine, saith the Lord, as the children of Israel, offer in a cleane vessell in the House of the Lord.
21 E também deles tomarei a alguns para sacerdotes e para levitas, diz o Senhor.
And I will take of them for Priestes, and for Leuites, saith the Lord.
22 Porque, como os céus novos, e a terra nova, que hei de fazer, estarão diante da minha face, diz o Senhor, assim também há de estar a vossa semente e o vosso nome.
For as the newe heauens, and the newe earth which I will make, shall remaine before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seede and your name continue.
23 E será que desde uma lua nova até à outra, e desde um sábado até ao outro, virá toda a carne a adorar perante mim, diz o Senhor.
And from moneth to moneth, and from Sabbath to Sabbath shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.
24 E sairão, e verão os corpos mortos dos homens que prevaricaram contra mim; porque o seu bicho nunca morrerá, nem o seu fogo se apagará; e serão em horror a toda a carne.
And they shall goe forth, and looke vpon the carkases of the men that haue transgressed against me: for their worme shall not dye, neither shall their fire be quenched, and they shalbe an abhorring vnto all flesh.
