Isaías 62
1 Por amor de Sião me não calarei, e por amor de Jerusalém me não aquietarei; até que saia a sua justiça como um resplandor, e a sua salvação como uma tocha acesa
For Zions sake I will not holde my tongue, and for Ierusalems sake I wil not rest, vntil the righteousnes thereof breake foorth as the light, and saluation thereof as a burning lampe.
2 E as nações verão a tua justiça, e todos os reis a tua glória; e chamar-te-ão por um nome novo, que a boca do Senhor nomeará.
And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousnesse, and all Kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.
3 E serás uma coroa de glória na mão do Senhor, e um diadema real na mão do teu Deus.
Thou shalt also be a crowne of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royall diademe in the hand of thy God.
4 Nunca mais te chamarão: Desamparada, nem a tua terra nunca mais nomearão: Assolada; mas chamar-te-ão: O meu prazer está nela; e a tua terra: A casada; porque o Senhor se agrada de ti; e a tua terra se casará.
It shall no more be sayd vnto thee, Forsaken, neither shall it be said any more to thy land, Desolate, but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord deliteth in thee, and thy land shall haue an husband.
5 Porque, como o mancebo se casa com a donzela, assim teus filhos se casarão contigo: e, como o noivo se alegra da noiva, assim se alegrará de ti o teu Deus.
For as a yong man marieth a virgine, so shall thy sonnes marry thee: and as a bridegrome is glad of the bride, so shall thy God reioyce ouer thee.
6 Ó Jerusalém, sobre os teus muros pus guardas, que todo o dia e toda a noite de contínuo se não calarão: ó vós, os que fazeis menção do Senhor, não haja silêncio em vós,
I haue set watchmen vpon thy walles, O Ierusalem, which all the day and all the night continually shall not cease: ye that are mindfull of the Lord, keepe not silence,
7 Nem lhe deis a ele silêncio, até que confirme, e até que ponha a Jerusalém por louvor na terra.
And giue him no rest, till hee repaire and vntill hee set vp Ierusalem the prayse of the worlde.
8 Jurou o Senhor pela sua mão direita, e pelo braço da sua força, que nunca mais darei o teu trigo por comida aos teus inimigos, nem os estranhos beberão o teu mosto, em que trabalhaste.
The Lord hath sworne by his right hand and by his strong arme, Surely I wil no more giue thy corne to be meate for thine enemies, and surely the sonnes of the strangers shall not drinke thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured.
9 Porém os que o ajuntarem o comerão, e louvarão ao Senhor: e os que o colherem beberão nos átrios do meu santuário.
But they that haue gathered it, shall eate it, and prayse the Lord, and the gatherers thereof shall drinke it in the courtes of my Sanctuarie.
10 Passai, passai pelas portas; preparai o caminho ao povo: aplainai, aplainai a estrada, limpai-a das pedras; arvorai a bandeira aos povos.
Go through, go through the gates: prepare you the way for the people: cast vp, cast vp the way, and gather out the stones and set vp a standart for the people.
11 Eis que o Senhor fez ouvir até às extremidades da terra: Dizei à filha de Sião: Eis que a tua salvação vem: eis que consigo o seu galardão, e a sua obra diante dele
Beholde, the Lord hath proclaimed vnto the endes of the world: tell the daughter Zion, Beholde, thy Sauiour commeth: beholde, his wages is with him, and his worke is before him.
12 E chama-los-ão: Povo santo, remidos do Senhor; e tu serás chamada Buscada, a cidade não desamparada.
And they shall call them, The holy people, the redeemed of the Lord, and thou shalt be named, A citie sought out and not forsaken.
