Isaías 54

1 Canta alegremente, ó estéril, que não párias: exclama de prazer com alegre canto, e exulta, tu que não tiveste dores de parto; porque mais são os filhos da solitária, do que os filhos da casada, diz o Senhor.

Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith Yhwh.

2 Alarga o lugar da tua tenda, e as cortinas das tuas habitações se estendam; não o impeças: alonga as tuas cordas, e afixa bem as tuas estacas.

Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;

3 Porque trasbordarás à mão direita e à esquerda; e a tua semente possuirá as nações e farão habitar as cidades assoladas.

For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

4 Não temas, porque não serás envergonhada; e não te envergonhes, porque não serás confundida: antes te esquecerás da vergonha da tua mocidade, e não te lembrarás mais do opróbrio da tua viuvez.

Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.

5 Porque o teu criador é o teu marido, o Senhor dos exércitos é o seu nome; e o Santo de Israel é o teu redentor; será chamado o Deus de toda a terra.

For thy Maker is thine husband; Yhwh of Armies is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

6 Porque o Senhor te chamou como a mulher desamparada, e triste de espírito: contudo tu és a mulher da mocidade, ainda que foste desprezada, diz o teu Deus.

For Yhwh hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.

7 Por um pequeno momento te deixei, porém com grandes misericórdias te recolherei;

For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

8 Com uma pouca de ira escondi a minha face de ti por um momento; porém com benignidade eterna me compadecerei de ti, diz o Senhor, o teu redentor.

In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith Yhwh thy Redeemer.

9 Porque isto será para mim como as águas de Noé, quando jurei que as águas de Noé não passariam mais sobre a terra: assim jurei que não me irarei mais contra ti, nem te repreenderei.

For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

10 Porque os montes se desviarão, e os outeiros tremerão; porém a minha benignidade se não desviará de ti, e o concerto da minha paz se não mudará, diz o Senhor, que se compadece de ti.

For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith Yhwh that hath mercy on thee.

11 Tu, oprimida, arrojada com a tormenta e desconsolada, eis que eu porei as tuas pedras com todo o ornamento, e te fundarei sobre as safiras.

O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.

12 E as tuas janelas farei cristalinas, e as tuas portas de rubins, e todos os teus termos de pedras apráziveis.

And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.

13 E todos os teus filhos serão doutrinados do Senhor; e a paz de teus filhos será abundante.

And all thy children shall be taught of Yhwh; and great shall be the peace of thy children.

14 Com justiça serás confirmada: alonga-te da opressão, porque já não temerás; como também do espanto, porque não chegará a ti.

In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.

15 Eis que certamente se ajuntarão contra ti, porém não comigo: quem se ajuntar contra ti cairá por amor de ti.

Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

16 Eis que eu criei o ferreiro, que assopra as brazas no fogo, e que produz a ferramenta para a sua obra: também eu criei o destruidor, para desfazer.

Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

17 Toda a ferramenta preparada contra ti não prosperará, e toda a língua que se levantar contra ti em juízo tu a condenarás: esta é a herança dos servos do Senhor, e a sua justiça vem de mim, diz o Senhor.

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of Yhwh, and their righteousness is of me, saith Yhwh.
