Isaías 3
1 Porque, eis que o Senhor Deus dos exércitos tirará de Jerusalém e de Judá o bordão e o cajado: a todo o sustento de pão, e a toda a borda d'água;
For behold, the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, will take away from Jerusalem and from Judah stay and staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,
2 Ao valente, e ao soldado, ao juiz, e ao profeta, e ao adivinho, e ao ancião,
the mighty man and the man of war, the judge and the prophet, and the diviner and the elder,
3 Ao capitão de cincoênta, e ao respeitável, e ao conselheiro, e ao sábio entre os artífices, e ao eloquente.
the captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the clever among artificers, and the one versed in enchantments.
4 E dar-lhes-ei mancebos por príncipes, e crianças dominarão sobre eles.
And I will appoint youths as their princes, and children shall rule over them.
5 E o povo será oprimido; um será contra o outro, e cada um contra o seu próximo: o menino se atrevera contra o ancião, e o vil contra o nobre.
And the people shall be oppressed one by the other, and each by his neighbour; the child will be insolent against the elder, and the base against the honourable.
6 Quando algum travar de seu irmão da casa de seu pai, dizendo: Capa tens, sê nosso príncipe, e toma sob a tua mão esta ruína;
When a man shall take hold of his brother, in his father's house, [and shall say: ] Thou hast clothing; be our chief, and let this ruin be under thy hand;
7 Então levantará a sua voz naquele dia, dizendo: Não posso ser médico, nem tão pouco há em minha casa pão, nem vestido algum: não me ponhais por príncipe do povo.
he will lift up [his hand] in that day, saying, I cannot be a healer, and in my house there is neither bread nor clothing; ye shall not make me a chief of the people.
8 Porque tropeçou Jerusalém, e Judá é caído; porquanto a sua língua e as suas obras são contra o Senhor, para irritarem os olhos da sua glória.
For Jerusalem stumbleth and Judah falleth, because their tongue and their doings are against Jehovah, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
9 A aparência das suas faces testifica contra eles; e publicam os seus pecados como Sodoma; não os dissimulam: ai da sua alma! porque se fazem mal a si mesmos.
The look of their face doth witness against them, and they declare their sin as Sodom: they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have brought evil upon themselves.
10 Dizem ao justo que bem lhe irá; que comerão do fruto das suas obras.
Say ye of the righteous that it shall be well [with him], for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
11 Ai do ímpio! mal lhe irá: porque o galardão das suas mãos se lhe dará.
Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill [with him], because the desert of his hands shall be rendered unto him.
12 Os exatores do meu povo são crianças, e mulheres dominam sobre ele: ah, povo meu! os que te guiam te enganam, e devoram o caminho das tuas veredas.
[As for] my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. My people! they that guide thee mislead [thee], and destroy the way of thy paths.
13 O Senhor se apresenta a pleitear, e se põe a julgar os povos.
Jehovah setteth himself to plead, and standeth to judge the peoples.
14 O Senhor vem em juízo contra os anciãos do seu povo, e contra os seus príncipes; porque vós consumistes esta vinha, o despojo do aflito está em vossas casas.
Jehovah will enter into judgment with the elders of his people and their princes, [saying: ] It is ye that have eaten up the vineyard: the spoil of the poor is in your houses.
15 Que tendes vós, que atropelais o meu povo e moeis as faces dos aflitos? diz o Senhor, o Deus dos exércitos.
What mean ye that ye crush my people, and grind the faces of the afflicted? saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.
16 Diz ainda mais o Senhor: Porquanto as filhas de Sião se exalçam, e andam com o pescoço emproado, fazendo acenos com os olhos, e, indo andando, andam como dançando, e cascavelando com os pés
And Jehovah said, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched-out neck and wanton eyes, and go along mincing, and making a tinkling with their feet;
17 Portanto o Senhor fará calva a mioleira das filhas de Sião, e o Senhor descobrirá as suas vergonhas.
therefore the Lord will make bald the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and Jehovah will lay bare their secret parts.
18 Naquele dia tirará o Senhor o enfeite das ligas, e as redezinhas, e as luetas,
In that day the Lord will take away the ornament of anklets, and the little suns and crescents,
19 Os pendentes, e as manilhas, e os vestidos resplandecentes,
the pearl-drops, and the bracelets, and the veils,
20 Os diademas, e os enfeites dos braços, e os cendaes, e as bocetas cheirosas, e as arrecadas,
the head-dresses, and the stepping chains, and the girdles, and the scent-boxes, and the amulets;
21 Os anéis, e as jóias pendentes do nariz,
the finger-rings, and the nose-rings;
22 Os vestidos de festa, e os mantos, e as coifas, e os alfinetes,
the festival-robes, and the tunics, and the mantles, and the wallets;
23 Os espelhos, e as capinhas de linho finíssimas, e as toucas, e os véus.
the mirrors, and the fine linen bodices, and the turbans, and the flowing veils.
24 E será que em lugar de cheiro suave haverá fedor; e por cinto uma corda; e em lugar de encrespadura de cabelos, calva; e em lugar de veste larga, cingimento de saco; e queimadura em lugar de formosura.
And it shall come to pass, instead of perfume there shall be rottenness; and instead of a girdle, a rope; and instead of well-set hair, baldness; and instead of a robe of display, a girding of sackcloth; brand instead of beauty.
25 Teus varões cairão à espada, e teus valentes na peleja.
Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the fight;
26 E as suas portas gemerão e prantearão; e ela, ficando desolada, se assentará no chão.
and her gates shall lament and mourn; and, stripped, she shall sit upon the ground.
