Isaías 26
1 Naquele dia se cantará este cântico na terra de Judá: Uma forte cidade temos, Deus lhe pôs a salvação por muros e antemuros.
In that day this song is sung in the land of Judah: “We have a strong city, He makes salvation [for] walls and bulwark.
2 Abri as portas, para que entre nelas a nação justa, que observa a verdade.
Open the gates, That a righteous nation may enter, Preserving steadfastness.
3 Tu conservarás em paz aquele cuja mente está firme em ti, porque confiará em ti
You keep [him] in peace [whose] imagination [is] stayed—peace! For he is confident in You.
4 Confiai no Senhor perpetuamente; porque em Deus Senhor há uma rocha eterna.
Trust in YHWH forever, For in YAH—YHWH [is] a rock of ages,
5 Porque ele abate os que habitam em lugares sublimes, como também a cidade exalçada humilhará até ao chão, e a derribará até ao pó
For He bowed down the dwellers on high, A city set on high He makes low, He makes it low to the earth, He causes it to come to the dust,
6 O pé a atropelará; os pés dos aflitos, e os passos dos pobres.
A foot treads it down, Feet of the poor—steps of the weak.
7 O caminho do justo é todo plano: tu retamente pesas o andar do justo.
The path for the righteous [is] uprightness, O upright One, You ponder the path of the righteous.
8 Até no caminho dos teus juízos, Senhor, te esperamos, no teu nome e na tua lembrança está o desejo da nossa alma.
Also, [in] the path of Your judgments, O YHWH, we have waited [for] You, To Your Name and to Your remembrance [Is] the desire of the soul.
9 Na minha alma te desejei de noite, e com o meu espírito, que está dentro de mim, madrugarei a buscar-te; porque, havendo os teus juízos na terra, os moradores do mundo aprendem justiça.
I desired You in the night [with] my soul, Also, I seek You earnestly [with] my spirit within me, For when Your judgments [are] on the earth, The inhabitants of the world have learned righteousness.
10 Ainda que se faça favor ao ímpio, nem por isso aprende a justiça; até na terra da retidão obra iniquidade, e não olha para a alteza do Senhor.
The wicked finds favor, He has not learned righteousness, He deals perversely in a land of straightforwardness, And does not see the excellence of YHWH.
11 Ó Senhor, ainda que esteja exaltada a tua mão, nem por isso a veem: vê-la-ão, porém, e confundir-se-ão por causa do zelo que tens do teu povo; e o fogo consumirá a teus adversários.
O YHWH, Your hand [is] high—they do not see, They see the zeal of the people, and are ashamed, Also, the fire consumes Your adversaries.
12 Ó Senhor, tu nos darás a paz, porque tu és o que fizeste em nós todas as nossas obras.
O YHWH, You appoint peace to us, For You have also worked all our works for us.
13 Ó Senhor Deus nosso, já outros senhores tem tido domínio sobre nós; porém, por ti só, nos lembramos do teu nome
O our God YHWH, lords have ruled us besides You, Only, by You we make mention of Your Name.
14 Morrendo eles, não tornarão a viver; falecendo, não ressuscitarão; por isso os visitaste e destruíste, e apagaste toda a sua memória.
Dead—they do not live, Rephaim, they do not rise, Therefore You have inspected and destroy them, Indeed, you destroy all their memory.
15 Tu, Senhor, aumentaste a esta gente, tu aumentaste a esta gente, fizeste-te glorioso; mas longe os lançaste, a todos os fins da terra.
You have added to the nation, O YHWH, You have added to the nation, You have been honored, You have put all the ends of the earth far off.
16 Ó Senhor, no aperto te visitaram; vindo sobre eles a tua correção, derramaram a sua oração secreta.
O YHWH, in distress they missed You, They have poured out a whisper, Your discipline [is] on them.
17 Como a mulher grávida, quando está próxima ao parto, tem dores do parto, e dá gritos nas suas dores, assim fomos nós por causa da tua face, ó Senhor!
When a pregnant woman comes near to the birth, She is pained—she cries in her pangs, So we have been from Your face, O YHWH.
18 Bem concebemos nós, e tivemos dores de parto, porém parimos só vento: livramento não trouxemos à terra, nem cairam os moradores do mundo
We have conceived, we have been pained. We have brought forth, as it were, wind, We do not work salvation in the earth, Nor do the inhabitants of the world fall.
19 Os teus mortos viverão, como também o meu corpo morto, e assim ressuscitarão; despertai e exultai, os que habitais no pó, porque o teu orvalho será como o orvalho de hortaliças, e a terra lançará de si os mortos
Your dead live—My dead body, they rise. Awake and sing, you dwellers in the dust, For the dew of herbs [is] your dew, And you cause the land of Rephaim to fall.
20 Vai pois, povo meu, entra nos teus quartos, e fecha as tuas portas sobre ti: esconde-te por um só momento, até que passe a ira.
Come, My people, enter into your inner chambers, And shut your doors behind you, Hide yourself shortly [for] a moment until the indignation passes over.
21 Porque eis que o Senhor sairá do seu lugar, para castigar os moradores da terra, por causa da sua iniquidade, e a terra descobrirá o seu sangue, e não encobrirá mais os seus mortos à espada.
For behold, YHWH is coming out of His place, To charge the iniquity of the inhabitant of the earth on him, And the earth has revealed her blood, Nor does she cover her slain anymore!”
