Isaías 22

1 Peso do vale da visão. Que tens agora, que toda tu subiste aos telhados?

The burden concerning the Valley of Vision. What aileth thee now, that thou art wholly gone up to the housetops,

2 Tu, cheia de arroídos, cidade turbulenta, cidade que salta de alegria, os teus mortos não foram mortos à espada, nem morreram na guerra.

Thou that art full of uproar, a tumultuous city, a joyous town? Thy slain are not slain with the sword, nor dead in battle.

3 Todos os teus príncipes juntamente fugiram, os flecheiros os amarraram: todos os que em ti se acharam, foram amarrados juntamente, e fugiram de longe.

All thy rulers are fled together, without the bow they are bound; all that are found of thee are bound together, they are fled afar off.

4 Portanto digo: virai de mim a vista, e chorarei amargamente: não vos canceis mais em consolar-me pela destruição da filha do meu povo.

Therefore said I: 'Look away from me, I will weep bitterly; strain not to comfort me, for the destruction of the daughter of my people.'

5 Porque é um dia do alvoroço, e de atropelamento, e de confusão da parte do Senhor Jehovah dos exércitos, no vale da visão: dia de derribar o muro e de gritar até ao monte.

For it is a day of trouble, and of trampling, and of perplexity, from the Lord, the GOD of hosts, in the Valley of Vision; Kir shouting, and Shoa at the mount.

6 Porque já Elam tomou a aljava, já o homem está no carro, também há cavaleiros: e Kir descobre os escudos.

And Elam bore the quiver, with troops of men, even horsemen; and Kir uncovered the shield.

7 E será que os teus mais formosos vales se encherão de carros, e os cavaleiros se porão em ordem às portas.

And it came to pass, when thy choicest valleys were full of chariots, and the horsemen set themselves in array at the gate,

8 E descobrirá a coberta de Judá, e naquele dia olharás para as armas da casa do bosque.

And the covering of Judah was laid bare, that thou didst look in that day to the armour in the house of the forest.

9 E vereis as roturas da cidade de David, porquanto já são muitas, e ajuntareis as águas do viveiro de baixo.

And ye saw the breaches of the city of David, that they were many; and ye gathered together the waters of the lower pool.

10 Também contareis as casas de Jerusalém, e derribareis as casas, para fortalecer os muros.

And ye numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and ye broke down the houses to fortify the wall;

11 Fareis também uma cova entre ambos os muros para as águas do viveiro velho, porém não olhastes acima para o que fez isto, nem considerastes o que o formou desde a antiguidade.

ye made also a basin between the two walls for the water of the old pool — but ye looked not unto Him that had done this, neither had ye respect unto Him that fashioned it long ago.

12 E o Senhor, o Senhor dos exércitos chamará naquele dia ao choro, e ao pranto, e à rapadura da cabeça, e ao cingidouro do saco.

And in that day did the Lord, the GOD of hosts, call to weeping, and to lamentation, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth;

13 Porém eis aqui gozo e alegria, matando-se vacas e degolando-se ovelhas, comendo-se carne, e bebendo-se vinho, e dizendo-se: Comamos e bebamos, porque amanhã morreremos.

And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen and killing sheep, eating flesh and drinking wine — 'Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die!'

14 Mas o Senhor dos exércitos se manifestou nos meus ouvidos, dizendo: Vivo eu, que esta maldade não vos será perdoada até que morrais, diz o Senhor Jehovah dos exércitos.

And the LORD of hosts revealed Himself in mine ears: Surely this iniquity shall not be expiated by you till ye die, saith the Lord, the GOD of hosts.

15 Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah dos exércitos: Anda e vai-te com este tesoureiro, com Sebna, o mordomo, e dize-lhe:

Thus saith the Lord, the GOD of hosts: Go, get thee unto this steward, even unto Shebna, who is over the house:

16 Que é o que tens aqui? ou a quem tens tu aqui, que te lavrasses aqui sepultura? como o que lavra em lugar alto a sua sepultura e debuxa na penha uma morada para si.

What hast thou here, and whom hast thou here, that thou hast hewed thee out here a sepulchre, thou that hewest thee out a sepulchre on high, and gravest a habitation for thyself in the rock?

17 Eis que o Senhor daqui te transportará do transporte de varão, e de todo te cobrirá.

Behold, the LORD will hurl thee up and down with a man's throw; yea, He will wind thee round and round;

18 Certamente te fará rodar, como se faz rodar a bola em terra larga e espaçosa: ali morrerás, e ali acabarão os carros da tua glória, ó opróbrio da casa do teu Senhor.

He will violently roll and toss thee like a ball into a large country; there shalt thou die, and there shall be the chariots of thy glory, thou shame of the lord's house.

19 E rejeitar-te-ei do teu estado, e te repuxará do teu assento.

And I will thrust thee from thy post, and from thy station shalt thou be pulled down.

20 E será naquele dia que chamarei a meu servo Eliakim filho d'Hilkias.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah;

21 E vesti-lo-ei da tua túnica, e esforça-lo-ei com o teu talabarte, e entregarei nas suas mãos o teu domínio, e será como pai para os moradores de Jerusalém, e para a casa de Judá.

And I will clothe him with thy robe, and bind him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand; and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.

22 E porei a chave da casa de David sobre o seu ombro, e abrirá, e ninguém fechará, e fechará, e ninguém abrirá.

And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; and he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.

23 E prega-lo-ei como a um prego num lugar firme, e será como um trono de honra para a casa de seu pai.

And I will fasten him as a peg in a sure place; and he shall be for a throne of honour to his father's house.

24 E nele pendurarão toda a honra da casa de seu pai, dos renovos e dos descendentes, como também todos os vasos menores, desde os vasos das taças até todos os vasos dos odres.

And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups even to all the vessels of flagons.

25 Naquele dia, diz o Senhor dos exércitos, o prego pregado em lugar firme será tirado: e será cortado, e cairá, e a carga que nele está se cortará, porque o Senhor o disse.

In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall the peg that was fastened in a sure place give way; and it shall be hewn down, and fall, and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off; for the LORD hath spoken it.
