Oséias 14

1 Converte-te, ó Israel, ao Senhor teu Deus; porque pelos teus pecados tens caído.

O Israel, return to Jehovah thy God, for thou have fallen by thine iniquity.

2 Tomai convosco palavras, e convertei-vos ao Senhor: dizei-lhe: Tira toda a iniquidade, e recebe o bem; e pagaremos os bezerros dos nossos lábios.

Take with you words, and return to Jehovah. Say to him, Take away all iniquity, and accept that which is good. So we will render as bullocks the offering of our lips.

3 Não nos salvará a Assyria, não iremos montados em cavalos, e à obra das nossas mãos não diremos mais: Tu és o nosso Deus; porque por ti o órfão alcançará misericórdia.

Assyria shall not save us. We will not ride upon horses, nor will we say any more to the work of our hands, Our gods. For in thee the fatherless finds mercy.

4 Eu sararei a sua perversão, eu voluntariamente os amarei; porque a minha ira se apartou deles.

I will heal their backsliding. I will love them freely. For my anger is turned away from him.

5 Eu serei a Israel como orvalho, ele florescerá como o lírio, e espalhará as suas raízes como o líbano.

I will be as the dew to Israel. He shall blossom as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

6 Estender-se-ão as suas vergonteas, e a sua glória será como a da oliveira, e cheirará como o líbano.

His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon.

7 Voltarão os que se assentarem debaixo da sua sombra; serão vivificados como o trigo, e florescerão como a vide; a sua memória será como o vinho do líbano.

Those who dwell under his shadow shall return. They shall revive as the grain, and blossom as the vine. The scent of it shall be as the wine of Lebanon.

8 Ephraim então dirá: Que mais tenho eu com os ídolos? eu o tenho ouvido, e olharei para ele: ser-lhe-ei como a faia verde: de mim é achado o teu fruto.

Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have answered, and will regard him. I am like a green fir tree. From me thy fruit is found.

9 Quem é sábio, para que entenda estas coisas; quem é prudente, para que as saiba? porque os caminhos do Senhor são retos, e os justos andarão neles, mas os transgressores cairão neles.

Who is wise, that he may understand these things, prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of Jehovah are right, and the just shall walk in them. But transgressors shall fall therein.
