Oséias 13
1 Quando Ephraim falava, tremia-se; foi exalçado em Israel; mas quando se fez culpado em Baal, então morreu.
When Ephraim spake, there was trembling: hee exalted him selfe in Israel, but he hath sinned in Baal, and is dead.
2 E agora acumularam pecados sobre pecados, e da sua prata fizeram uma imagem de fundição, ídolos segundo o seu entendimento, que todos são obra de artífices, dos quais dizem: Os homens que sacrificam beijem os bezerros.
And nowe they sinne more and more, and haue made them molten images of their siluer, and idoles according to their owne vnderstanding: they were all the woorke of the craftesmen: they say one to another whiles they sacrifice a man, Let them kisse the calues.
3 Por isso serão como a nuvem de manhã, e como orvalho da madrugada, que passa: como folhelho que a tempestade lança da eira, e como o fumo da chaminé.
Therefore they shall bee as the morning cloude, and as the morning dewe that passeth away, as the chaffe that is driuen with a whirlewind out of the floore, and as the smoke that goeth out of the chimney.
4 Eu pois sou o Senhor teu Deus desde a terra do Egito; portanto não reconhecerás outro Deus fora de mim, porque não há Salvador senão eu.
Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt knowe no God but me: for there is no Sauiour beside me.
5 Eu te conheci no deserto, na terra mui seca.
I did knowe thee in the wildernesse, in the land of drought.
6 Depois eles se fartaram à proporção do seu pasto; estando pois fartos, ensoberbeceu-se o seu coração, por isso se esqueceram de mim.
As in their pastures, so were they filled: they were filled, and their heart was exalted: therefore haue they forgotten me.
7 Portanto serei para eles como leão; como leopardo espiarei no caminho.
And I wil be vnto them as a very lyon, and as a leopard in the way of Asshur.
8 Como urso que tem perdido seus filhos, os encontrarei, lhes romperei as teias do seu coração, e ali os devorarei como leão; as feras do campo os despedaçarão.
I will meete them, as a beare that is robbed of her whelpes, and I will breake the kall of their heart, and there will I deuoure them like a lion: the wilde beast shall teare them.
9 Isso te lançou a perder, ó Israel, que te rebelaste contra mim, a saber, contra a tua ajuda.
O Israel, one hath destroyed thee, but in me is thine helpe.
10 Onde está agora o teu rei, para que te guarde em todas as tuas cidades? e os teus juízes, dos quais disseste: Dá-me rei e príncipes?
I am: where is thy King, that shoulde help thee in al thy cities? and thy iudges, of whom thou saidest, Giue me a King, and princes?
11 Dei-te um rei na minha ira, e to tirarei no meu furor.
I gaue thee a King in mine anger, and I tooke him away in my wrath.
12 A iniquidade de Ephraim está atada, o seu pecado está entesourado.
The iniquitie of Ephraim is bound vp: his sinne is hid.
13 Dores de mulher de parto lhe virão: ele é um filho insensato: porque não permanece o seu tempo na paridura.
The sorowes of a trauailing woman shall come vpon him: he is an vnwise sonne, els would he not stande still at the time, euen at the breaking forth of the children.
14 Eu pois os remirei da violência do inferno, e os resgatarei da morte: onde estão, ó morte, as tuas pestes? onde está ó inferno, a tua perdição? o arrependimento será escondido de meus olhos. (Sheol h7585)
I wil redeeme them from the power of the graue: I will deliuer them from death: O death, I wil be thy death: O graue, I will be thy destruction: repentance is hid from mine eyes. (Sheol h7585)
15 Ainda que ele dê fruto entre os irmãos, virá o vento leste, vento do Senhor, subindo do deserto, e secar-se-á a sua veia, e secar-se-á a sua fonte: ele saqueará o tesouro de todos os vasos desejáveis.
Though he grewe vp among his brethren, an East winde shall come, euen the winde of the Lord shall come vp from the wildernesse, and drie vp his veine, and his fountaine shalbe dryed vp: he shall spoyle the treasure of all pleasant vessels.
16 Samaria virá a ser deserta, porque se rebelou contra o seu Deus: cairão à espada, seus filhos serão despedaçados, e as suas grávidas serão fendidas pelo meio.
Samaria shalbe desolate: for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sworde: their infants shalbe dashed in pieces, and their women with childe shalbe ript.
