Hebreus 7
1 Porque este Melchisedec era rei de Salém, sacerdote do Deus altíssimo, o qual saiu ao encontro de Abraão, quando ele regressava da matança dos reis, e o abençoou:
For this Melchisedec--king of Salem, Priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him,
2 Ao qual também Abraão deu o dízimo de tudo; e primeiramente interpreta-se rei de justiça, e depois também rei de Salém, que é rei de paz,
to whom Abraham imparted even a tenth of all; being, indeed, by interpretation, first, king of righteousness, and next, also, king of Salem; which, by interpretation, is king of peace--
3 Sem pai, sem mãe, sem genealogia, não tendo princípio de dias nem fim de vida, mas sendo feito semelhante ao Filho de Deus, permanece sacerdote para sempre:
was without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginnings of days, nor end of life: but, being made like the Son of God, he remains a priest continually.
4 Considerai pois quão grande era este, a quem até o patriarcha Abraão deu os dízimos dos despojos.
Now, consider how great this priest was, to whom even Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth of the spoils.
5 E os que dentre os filhos de Levi recebem o sacerdócio tem preceito, segundo a lei, de tomar o dízimo do povo, isto é, de seus irmãos, ainda que tenham saído dos lombos de Abraão.
For they, indeed, of the sons of Levi, who received the priesthood, have a commandment to tithe people according to the law; that is, their brethren, although they have come forth from the loins of Abraham:
6 Mas aquele cuja genealogia não é contada entre eles tomou dízimos de Abraão, e abençoou o que tinha as promessas.
but he, who did not derive his pedigree from their progenitors, tithed Abraham, and blessed the holder of the promises.
7 Ora, sem contradição alguma, o menor é abençoado pelo maior.
Now, beyond all contradiction, the less is blessed by the greater.
8 E aqui certamente tomam dízimos homens que morrem: ali, porém, aquele de quem se testifica que vive.
Besides, here, indeed, men, who die, take tithes; but there one, of whom it is testified that he lives.
9 E, para assim dizer, também Levi, que toma os dízimos, foi dizimado em Abraão.
And, as one may say, even Levi, who receives tithes, was tithed in Abraham:
10 Porque ainda ele estava nos lombos do pai quando Melchisedec lhe saiu ao encontro.
for he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
11 De sorte que, se a perfeição fosse pelo sacerdócio levítico (porque debaixo dele o povo recebeu a lei), que necessidade havia logo de que outro sacerdote se levantasse, segundo a ordem de Melchisedec, e não fosse chamado segundo a ordem de Aarão?
Moreover, if, indeed, perfection were through the Levitical priesthood, (for with it the people received the law, ) what further need was there that another priest should arise, according to the order of Melchisedec, and not be called according to the order of Aaron?
12 Porque, mudando-se o sacerdócio, necessariamente se faz também mudança da lei.
Wherefore, the priesthood being changed, there is, of necessity, a change also of law.
13 Porque aquele de quem estas coisas se dizem pertence a outra tribo, da qual ninguém serviu ao altar,
For he to whom these things are said, was of a different tribe, of which no one gave attendance at the altar.
14 Visto ser manifesto que nosso Senhor procedeu de Judá, sobre a qual tribo nunca Moisés falou de sacerdócio.
For it is very plain that our Lord had sprung from Judah, in relation to which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.
15 E muito mais manifesto é ainda se à semelhança de Melchisedec se levantar outro sacerdote,
Moreover, it is still more plain that, according to the similitude of Melchisedec,
16 O qual não foi feito segundo a lei do mandamento carnal, mas segundo a virtude da vida incorruptível.
another priest arises, who is made, not according to the law of a carnal commandment, but according to the power of an endless life.
17 Porque assim testifica dele: Tu és sacerdote eternamente, segundo a ordem de Melchisedec. (aiōn g165)
For he testifies, "Thou art a priest for ever, according to the order of Melchisedec." (aiōn g165)
18 Porque o precedente mandamento abroga-se por causa da sua fraqueza e inutilidade
Here then, there is a disannulling of the preceding commandment, because of its weakness and unprofitableness--
19 (Porque a lei nenhuma coisa aperfeiçoou) e a introdução de uma melhor esperança, pela qual chegamos a Deus.
(for the law made no one perfect) --and the superinduction of a better hope, by which we draw near to God.
20 E porquanto não foi feito sem juramento (porque certamente aqueles sem juramento foram feitos sacerdotes,
Moreover, inasmuch as not without an oath--
21 Mas este com juramento, por aquele que lhe disse: Jurou o Senhor, e não se arrependerá: Tu és sacerdote eternamente, segundo a ordem de Melchisedec), (aiōn g165)
(for they, indeed, were make priests without an oath, but he, with an oath, by him who said to him, "The Lord has sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever, according to the order of Melchisedec,") (aiōn g165)
22 De tanto melhor concerto Jesus foi feito fiador.
by so much was Jesus made the surety of a better institution.
23 E, na verdade, aqueles foram feitos sacerdotes em grande número, porquanto pela morte foram impedidos de permanecer,
Besides, many, indeed, are made priests, because by death they are hindered from continuing:
but he, because he lives for ever, has a priesthood which does not pass from him. (aiōn g165)
25 Portanto, pode também salvar perfeitamente aos que por ele se chegam a Deus, vivendo sempre para interceder por eles.
Hence, also, he is for able to save them who come to God through him; always living to make intercession for them.
26 Porque nos convinha tal sumo sacerdote, santo, inocente, imaculado, separado dos pecadores, e feito mais sublime do que os céus;
Now such a High Priest became us; who, being holy, harmless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens,
27 Que não necessitasse, como os sumos sacerdotes, de oferecer cada dia sacrifícios, primeiramente por seus próprios pecados, e depois pelos do povo; porque isto fez ele, uma vez, oferecendo-se a si mesmo.
has not, like the high priests, need, from time to time, to offer sacrifices, first for his own sins, then for those of the people; for this latter he did once, when he offered himself up.
28 Porque a lei constitui sumos sacerdotes a homens fracos, mas a palavra do juramento, que veio depois da lei, constitui ao Filho, que para sempre foi aperfeiçoado. (aiōn g165)
For the law constitutes men high priests, who have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, constituted the Son, who is perfected for evermore. (aiōn g165)
