Gênesis 49
1 Depois chamou Jacob a seus filhos, e disse: ajuntai-vos, e anunciar-vos-ei o que vos há de acontecer nos derradeiros dias:
Jacob called his sons together, and said, “Gather round so I can tell you what's going to happen to you in the future.
2 Ajuntai-vos, e ouvi, filhos de Jacob; e ouvi a Israel vosso pai:
Come here, sons of Jacob, and listen to Israel your father.
3 Ruben, tu és meu primogênito, minha força, e o princípio de meu vigor, o mais excelente em alteza, e o mais excelente em potência.
Reuben. You are my firstborn, conceived when I was strong, born when I was vigorous! You were above all others is position, above all others in power.
4 Fervente como a água, não serás o mais excelente; porquanto subiste ao leito de teu pai. Então o contaminaste; subiu à minha cama.
But you boil over like water, so you won't be above anyone anymore, because you went and slept with my concubine; you violated my marriage bed.
5 Simeão e Levi são irmãos: as suas espadas são instrumentos de violência.
Simeon and Levi are two of the same kind—they use their weapons for destructive violence.
6 No seu secreto conselho não entre minha alma, com a sua congregação minha glória não se ajunte; porque no seu furor mataram varões, e na sua teima arrebataram bois
I refuse to be part of their decisions; I refuse to participate in what they do. For they killed men in their anger; they crippled cattle just for fun.
7 Maldito seja o seu furor, pois era forte, e a sua ira, pois era dura: eu os dividirei em Jacob, e os espalharei em Israel.
I curse their anger because it is too harsh; I curse their fury because it is too cruel! I will separate their descendants throughout Jacob; I will scatter them throughout Israel.
8 Judá, te louvarão os teus irmãos; a tua mão será sobre o pescoço de teus inimigos: os filhos de teu pai a ti se inclinarão.
Judah, your brothers will praise you. You will defeat your enemies. Your father's sons shall bow down to you in respect.
9 Judá é um leãozinho, da preza subiste, filho meu: encurva-se, e deita-se como um leão, e como um leão velho: quem o despertará?
My son Judah is a young lion coming back from eating its prey. He crouches and lies down like a lion. Like a lion, who would dare to disturb him?
10 O cetro não se arredará de Judá, nem o legislador dentre seus pés, até que não venha Shiloh; e a ele congregarão os povos
Judah will always hold the scepter, and the staff of authority will always be at his feet until Shiloh comes; the nations will obey him.
11 Ele amarrará o seu jumentinho à vide, e o filho da sua jumenta à cepa mais excelente: ele lavará o seu vestido no vinho, e a sua capa em sangue de uvas.
He ties his donkey to the vine, his donkey's colt to the best vine. He washes his clothes in wine, his robes in the red juice of grapes.
12 Os olhos serão vermelhos de vinho, e os dentes brancos de leite.
His eyes sparkle more than wine, and his teeth are whiter than milk.
13 Zabulon habitará no porto dos mares, e será porto dos navios, e o seu termo será para Sidon.
Zebulun will live on the seashore and provide a harbor for ships; his territory will extend towards Sidon.
14 Issacar é jumento de fortes ossos, deitado entre dois fardos.
Issachar is a strong donkey, lying down between two saddle bags.
15 E viu ele que o descanço era bom, e seu ombro para acarretar, e serviu debaixo de tributo.
He sees that the place where he's resting is good, and the land is lovely, so he's willing to lower his back to accept the burden and to work as a slave.
16 Dan julgará o seu povo, como uma das tribos de Israel.
Dan will judge his people as one of the tribes of Israel.
17 Dan será serpente junto ao caminho, uma víbora junto à vereda, que morde os calcanhares do cavalo, e faz cair o seu cavaleiro por detrás.
Dan will be as dangerous as a snake beside the road, a viper by the path that bites the horse's heel, throwing its rider off backwards.
18 A tua salvação espero, ó Senhor!
I trust in you to save me, Lord.
19 Quanto a Gad, uma tropa o acometerá; mas ele a acometerá por fim.
Raiders will attack Gad, but he will attack their heels.
20 De Aser, o seu pão será gordo, e ele dará delícias reais.
Asher will have delicious food—he'll produce fancy food for royalty.
21 Naphtali é uma cerva solta: ele dá palavras formosas.
Naphtali is a deer that's free to run; it gives birth to beautiful fawns.
22 José é um ramo frutifero, ramo frutifero junto à fonte; seus ramos correm sobre o muro.
Joseph is a fruitful tree, a fruitful tree beside a spring, whose branches climb over the wall.

25 Pelo Deus de teu pai, o qual te ajudará, e pelo Todo-poderoso, o qual te abençoará com bençãos dos céus de cima, com bençãos do abismo que está debaixo, com bençãos dos peitos e da madre
The God of your father will help you and the Almighty will bless you with blessings from the heavens above, with blessings from the depths below, with blessings for many children.
26 As bençãos de teu pai excederão as bençãos de meus pais, até à extremidade dos outeiros eternos: elas estarão sobre a cabeça de José, e sobre o alto da cabeça do separado de seus irmãos.
The blessings your father received were greater than the blessings of his forefathers, more than the blessings of the eternal mountains. May they be upon the head of Joseph, on the forehead of the one set apart as a leader from his brothers.
27 Benjamin é lobo que despedaça; pela manhã comerá a preza, e à tarde repartirá o despojo.
Benjamin is a vicious wolf. In the morning he destroys his enemies, in the evening he divides the loot.”
28 Todas estas são as doze tribos de Israel: e isto é o que lhes falou seu pai quando os abençoou; a cada um deles abençoou segundo a sua benção.
These are all of the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father told them as he blessed them, each according to their respective blessings.
29 Depois ordenou-lhes, e disse-lhes: Eu me congrego ao meu povo; sepultai-me com meus pais, na cova que está no campo de Ephron, o hetheu,
Then he gave them the following instructions: “I'm going to die soon. Bury me with my forefathers in the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite.
30 Na cova que está no campo de Machpela, que está em frente de Mamre, na terra de Canaan, a qual Abraão comprou com aquele campo de Ephron, o hetheu, por herança de sepultura:
This is the cave in the field of Machpelah, near Mamre in Canaan, that Abraham bought together with the field from Ephron the Hittite to own as a burial site.
31 Ali sepultaram a Abraão, e a Sarah sua mulher: ali sepultaram a Isaac, e a Rebeca sua mulher: e ali eu sepultei a Leah.
Abraham and his wife Sarah were buried there, Isaac and his wife Rebekah were buried there, and I buried Leah there.
32 O campo, e a cova que está nele, foi comprado aos filhos de Heth.
The field and the cave were bought from the Hittites.”
33 Acabando pois Jacob de dar mandamentos a seus filhos, encolheu os seu pés na cama, e espirou, e foi congregado ao seu povo.
When Jacob finished giving these instructions he pulled up his feet into the bed, breathed his last, and joined his forefathers in death.
