Ezequiel 24

1 E veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, no nono ano, no décimo mes, aos dez do mes, dizendo:

Again, in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,

2 Filho do homem, escreve o nome deste dia, deste mesmo dia; porque o rei de Babilônia se achega a Jerusalém neste mesmo dia.

Son of man, write thee the name of the day, even of this selfsame day; the king of Babylon drew close to Jerusalem this selfsame day.

3 E usa de uma comparação para com a casa rebelde, e dize-lhe: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Põe a panela ao lume, põe-na, e deita-lhe também água dentro.

And utter a parable to the rebellious house, and say to them, Thus says the lord Jehovah: Set on the caldron. Set it on, and also pour water into it.

4 Ajunta nela os seus pedaços, todos os bons pedaços, as pernas e as espadoas; enche-a de ossos escolhidos.

Gather the pieces of it into it, even every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill it with the choice bones.

5 Pega no melhor do rebanho, e queima também os ossos debaixo dela: faze-a ferver bem, e cozam-se dentro dela os seus ossos.

Take the choice of the flock, and also a pile of wood for the bones under the caldron. Make it boil well, yea, let the bones of it be boiled in the midst of it.

6 Portanto, assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Ai da cidade sanguinária, da panela cuja escuma está nela, e cuja escuma não saiu dela! tira dela pedaços a pedaços, não caia sorte sobre ela

Therefore thus says the lord Jehovah: Woe to the bloody city, to the caldron whose rust is therein, and whose rust has not gone out of it! Take out of it piece after piece. No lot has fallen upon it.

7 Porque o seu sangue está no meio dela, sobre uma penha descalvada o pos: não o derramou sobre a terra, para o cobrir com pó.

For her blood is in the midst of her. She set it upon the bare rock. She did not pour it upon the ground to cover it with dust.

8 Para que eu faça subir a indignação, para tomar vingança, também eu pus o seu sangue numa penha descalvada, para que não se encubra.

That it may cause wrath to come up to take vengeance, I have set her blood upon the bare rock, that it should not be covered.

9 Portanto, assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Ai da cidade sanguinária! também eu farei uma grande fogueira.

Therefore thus says the lord Jehovah: Woe to the bloody city! I also will make the pile great.

10 Amontoa muita lenha, acende o fogo, consome a carne, e tempera-a com especiarias, e ardam os ossos.

Heap on the wood; make the fire hot. Boil the flesh well, and make the broth thick. And let the bones be burned.

11 Então a porás vazia sobre as suas brazas, para que ela aqueça, e se queime a sua ferrugem, e se funda a sua imundícia no meio dela, e se consuma a sua escuma.

Then set it empty upon the coals of it, that it may be hot, and the brass of it may burn, and that the filthiness of it may be molten in it, that the scum of it may be consumed.

12 Com vaidades me cançou; e não saiu dela a sua muita escuma; ao fogo irá a sua escuma.

She has wearied herself with toil, yet her great scum does not go forth out of her, her scum by fire.

13 Na imundícia há infâmia, porquanto te purifiquei, e tu não te purificaste; nunca mais serás purificada da tua imundícia, enquanto eu não fizer descançar sobre ti a minha indignação.

In thy filthiness is lewdness. Because I have cleansed thee and thou were not cleansed, thou shall not be cleansed from thy filthiness any more, till I have caused my wrath toward thee to rest.

14 Eu, o Senhor, o falei; virá, e o farei: não me tornarei atráz, e não pouparei, nem me arrependerei; conforme os teus caminhos, e conforme os teus tratos, te julgarão, diz o Senhor Jehovah.

I, Jehovah, have spoken it. It shall come to pass, and I will do it. I will not go back. I will neither spare, nor will I relent. According to thy ways, and according to thy doings, they shall judge thee, says the lord Jehovah.

15 E veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

Also the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,

16 Filho do homem, eis que tirarei de ti o desejo dos teus olhos dum golpe, mas não lamentarás, nem chorarás, nem te correrão as lágrimas.

Son of man, behold, I take the desire of thine eyes away from thee with a stroke. Yet thou shall neither mourn nor weep. Neither shall thy tears run down.

17 Refreia-te de gemer, não farás luto por mortos, ata o teu turbante, e mete nos pés os teus sapatos; e não te rebuçarás, e o pão dos homens não comerás

Sigh, but not aloud. Make no mourning for the dead. Bind thy headdress upon thee, and put thy shoes upon thy feet. And do not cover thy lips, and do not eat the bread of men.

18 E falei ao povo pela manhã, e à tarde morreu minha mulher: e fiz pela manhã como se me deu ordem.

So I spoke to the people in the morning, and at evening my wife died. And I did in the morning as I was commanded.

19 E o povo me disse: Porventura não nos farás saber o que nos significam estas coisas que tu estás fazendo?

And the people said to me, Will thou not tell us what these things are to us, that thou do so?

20 E eu lhes disse: veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

Then I said to them, The word of Jehovah came to me, saying,

21 Dize à casa de Israel: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Eis que eu profanarei o meu santuário, a glória da vossa fortaleza, o desejo dos vossos olhos, e o regalo das vossas almas; e vossos filhos e vossas filhas, que deixastes, cairão à espada.

Speak to the house of Israel, Thus says the lord Jehovah: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul has compassion. And your sons and your daughters whom ye have left behind shall fall by the sword.

22 E fareis como eu fiz: não vos rebuçareis, e não comereis o pão dos homens.

And ye shall do as I have done. Ye shall not cover your lips, nor eat the bread of men.

23 E tereis nas cabeças os vossos turbantes, e os vossos sapatos nos pés; não lamentareis, nem chorareis, mas definhar-vos-eis nas vossas maldades, e dareis gemidos uns com os outros.

And your coverings shall be upon your heads, and your shoes upon your feet. Ye shall not mourn nor weep, but ye shall pine away in your iniquities, and moan one toward another.

24 Assim vos servirá Ezequiel de sinal; conforme tudo quanto fez fareis: vendo isto, então sabereis que eu sou o Senhor Jehovah.

Thus Ezekiel shall be to you a sign, according to all that he has done ye shall do. When this comes, then ye shall know that I am the lord Jehovah.

25 E tu, filho do homem, porventura não será no dia que eu lhes tirar a sua fortaleza, o gozo do seu ornamento, o desejo dos seus olhos, e a saudade das suas almas, seus filhos e suas filhas,

And thou, son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that upon which they set their heart-their sons and their daughters-

26 Aquele dia em que virá ter contigo algum que escapar, para to fazer ouvir com os ouvidos?

that in that day he who escapes shall come to thee, to cause thee to hear it with thine ears?

27 Naquele dia abrir-se-á a tua boca para com aquele que escapar, e falarás, e mais não ficarás mudo: assim lhes virás a ser um sinal maravilhoso, e saberão que eu sou o Senhor.

In that day thy mouth shall be opened to him who is escaped, and thou shall speak, and no more be mute. So thou shall be a sign to them, and they shall know that I am Jehovah.
