Ezequiel 21
1 E veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
2 Filho do homem, dirige o teu rosto contra Jerusalém, e derrama as tuas palavras contra os santuários, e profetiza contra a terra de Israel.
Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward the sanctuaries, and prophesy against the land of Israel.
3 E dize à terra de Israel: Assim diz o Senhor: Eis me aqui contra ti, e tirarei a minha espada da sua bainha, e exterminarei do meio de ti o justo e o ímpio.
And say to the land of Israel, Thus says Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee. And will draw forth my sword out of its sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.
4 E, porquanto hei de exterminar do meio de ti o justo e o ímpio, por isso sairá a minha espada da sua bainha contra toda a carne, desde o sul até ao norte.
Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore my sword shall go forth out of its sheath against all flesh from the south to the north.
5 E saberá toda a carne que eu, o Senhor, tirei a minha espada da sua bainha: nunca mais voltará a ela.
And all flesh shall know that I, Jehovah, have drawn forth my sword out of its sheath. It shall not return any more.
6 Tu, porém, ó filho do homem, suspira; suspira aos olhos deles, com quebrantamento dos lombos e com amargura.
Sigh therefore, thou son of man. With the breaking of thy loins and with bitterness thou shall sigh before their eyes.
7 E será que, quando eles te disserem: Porque suspiras tu? dirás: Pela fama, porque já vem; e todo o coração desmaiará, e todas as mãos se enfraquecerão, e todo o espírito se angustiará, e todos os joelhos se desfarão em águas; eis que já vem, e se fará, diz o Senhor Jehovah.
And it shall be, when they say to thee, Why do thou sigh? That thou shall say, Because of the news. For it comes, and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water. Behold, it comes, and it shall be done, says the lord Jehovah.
8 E veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
9 Filho do homem, profetiza, e dize: Assim diz o Senhor: dize: A espada, a espada está afiada, e também açacalada.
Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says Jehovah: Say, A sword, a sword. It is sharpened, and also furbished.
10 Para matar com grande matança está afiada, para reduzir está açacalada: alegrar-nos-emos pois? a vara de meu filho é que despreza todo o madeiro.
It is sharpened that it may make a slaughter. It is polished that it may be as lightning. Shall we then make mirth? It scorns the scepter of my son, every tree.
11 E a deu a açacalar, para usar dela com a mão: esta espada está afiada, e está açacalada, para a meter na mão do que está para matar.
And it is given to be polished, that it may be handled. The sword, it is sharpened, yea, it is polished, to give it into the hand of the slayer.
12 Grita e uiva, ó filho do homem, porque esta será contra o meu povo, será contra todos os príncipes de Israel: espantos terá o meu povo por causa da espada; portanto bate na coxa.
Cry and wail, son of man, for it is upon my people. It is upon all the rulers of Israel. They are delivered over to the sword with my people. Smite therefore upon thy thigh.
13 Quando se fez a prova que havia então? porventura também não haveria vara desprezadora? diz o Senhor Jehovah.
For there is a trial, and what if even the rod that scorns shall be no more? says the lord Jehovah.
14 Tu pois, ó filho do homem, profetiza, e bate com as mãos uma na outra; porque a espada até à terceira vez se dobrará: a espada é dos atravessados grandes, que entrará a eles até nas recâmaras.
Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thy hands together. And let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the deadly wounded. It is the sword of the great man who is deadly wounded, which enters into their chambers.
15 Para que desmaie o coração, e se multipliquem os tropeços, contra todas as suas portas pus a ponta da espada, a que foi feita para reduzir, e está reservada para matar!
I have set the threatening sword against all their gates, that their heart may melt, and their stumblings be multiplied. Ah! It is made as lightning. It is pointed for slaughter.
16 Ó espada, reune-te, vira-te para a direita; prepara-te, vira-te para a esquerda, para onde quer que o teu rosto se dirigir.
Gather thee together. Go to the right. Set thyself in array. Go to the left, wherever thy face is set.
17 E também eu baterei com as minhas mãos uma na outra, e farei descançar a minha indignação: eu, o Senhor, o falei.
I will also smite my hands together, and I will cause my wrath to rest. I, Jehovah, have spoken it.
18 E veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:
The word of Jehovah came to me again, saying,
19 Tu pois, ó filho do homem, propõe dois caminhos, por onde venha a espada do rei de Babilônia: ambos procederão de uma mesma terra, e escolhe uma banda; no cimo do caminho da cidade o escolhe.
Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways that the sword of the king of Babylon may come. Those two shall come forth out of one land. And mark out a place. Mark it out at the head of the way to the city.
20 Um caminho proporás, por onde virá a espada contra Rabba dos filhos de Ammon, e contra Judá, em Jerusalém, a fortificada.
Thou shall appoint a way for the sword to come to Rabbah of the sons of Ammon, and to Judah in Jerusalem the fortified.
21 Porque o rei de Babilônia parará na encruzilhada, no cimo dos dois caminhos, para usar de adivinhações: aguçará as suas flechas, consultará os terafins, atentará para o fígado
For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination. He shook the arrows to and fro. He consulted the teraphim. He looked in the liver.
22 Á sua direita estará a adivinhação sobre Jerusalém, para ordenar os arietes, para abrir a boca à matança, para levantar a voz com júbilo, para pôr os arietes contra as portas, para levantar uma tranqueira, para edificar um baluarte.
In his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to set battering rams, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to set battering rams against the gates, to cast up mounds, to build forts.
23 Isto será aos olhos deles como adivinhação vã, porquanto foram ajuramentados com juramentos entre eles; porém ele se lembrará da maldade, para que sejam apanhados.
And it shall be to them as a false divination in their sight, who have sworn oaths to them. But he brings iniquity to remembrance, that they may be taken.
24 Portanto assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Porquanto me fazeis lembrar da vossa maldade, descobrindo-se as vossas prevaricações, aparecendo os vossos pecados em todos os vossos tratos, porquanto viestes em memória, sereis apanhados na mão.
Therefore thus says the lord Jehovah: Because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are uncovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear, because ye have come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand.
25 E tu, ó profano e ímpio príncipe de Israel, cujo dia virá no campo da extrema maldade,
And thou, O deadly wounded wicked man, the ruler of Israel, whose day has come, in the time of the iniquity of the end,
26 Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Tira para fora o diadema, e levanta de ti a coroa; esta não será a mesma; exalta ao humilde, e humilha ao soberbo.
thus says the lord Jehovah: Remove the miter, and take off the crown. This shall be no more the same. Exalt that which is low, and abase that which is high.
27 Ao revéz, ao revéz, ao revéz porei aquela coroa, e ela mais não será, até que venha aquele a quem pertence de direito, e a ele a darei.
I will overturn, overturn, overturn it. This also shall be no more, until he comes whose right it is. And I will give it.
28 E tu, ó filho do homem, profetiza, e dize: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah acerca dos filhos de Ammon, e acerca do seu desprezo: dize pois: A espada, a espada está desembainhada, açacalada para a matança, para consumir, para reluzir;
And thou, son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says the lord Jehovah concerning the sons of Ammon, and concerning their reproach. And say thou, A sword, a sword is drawn. It is polished for the slaughter, to cause it to devour, that it may be as lightning,
29 Entretanto que te veem vaidade, entretanto que te adivinham mentira, para te porém aos pescoços dos traspassados pelos ímpios, cujo dia virá no tempo da extrema maldade.
while they see for thee false visions, while they divine lies to thee, to lay thee upon the necks of the wicked who are deadly wounded, whose day has come in the time of the iniquity of the end.
30 Torna a tua espada à sua bainha: no lugar em que foste criado, na terra do teu nascimento, julgarei.
Cause it to return into its sheath. In the place where thou were created, in the land of thy birth, I will judge thee.
31 E derramarei sobre ti a minha indignação, assoprarei contra ti o fogo do meu furor, entregar-te-ei nas mãos dos homens fogosos, inventores de destruição.
And I will pour out my indignation upon thee. I will blow upon thee with the fire of my wrath, and I will deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, skilful to destroy.
32 Para o fogo servirás de pasto: o teu sangue será no meio da terra: não virás em memória; porque eu, o Senhor, o falei.
Thou shall be for fuel to the fire. Thy blood shall be in the midst of the land. Thou shall no more be remembered. For I, Jehovah, have spoken it.
