Ezequiel 16

1 E veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:

2 Filho do homem, faze conhecer a Jerusalém as suas abominações.

'Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,

3 E dize: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah a Jerusalém: A tua origem e o teu nascimento procedem da terra dos cananeus: teu pai era amorreu, e a tua mãe hethea.

and say: Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem: Thine origin and thy nativity is of the land of the Canaanite; the Amorite was thy father, and thy mother was a Hittite.

4 E, quanto ao teu nascimento, no dia em que nasceste não te foi cortado o umbigo, nem foste lavada com a água, vendo-te eu; nem tão pouco foste esfregada com sal, nem envolta em faixas.

And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water for cleansing; thou was not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.

5 Não se compadeceu de ti olho algum, para te fazer alguma coisa disto, compadecido de ti; antes foste lançada na face do campo, pelo nojo da tua alma, no dia em que tu nasceste.

No eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field in the loathsomeness of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.

6 E, passando eu por ao pé de ti, vi-te pizada no teu sangue, e disse-te: Ainda que estejas no teu sangue, vive; sim, disse-te: Ainda que estejas no teu sangue, vive

And when I passed by thee, and saw thee wallowing in thy blood, I said unto thee: In thy blood, live; yea, I said unto thee: In thy blood, live;

7 Eu te fiz multiplicar como o renovo do campo, e cresceste, e te engrandeceste, e chegaste à grande formosura: avultaram os peitos, e brotou o teu pelo; porém estavas nua e descoberta.

I cause thee to increase, even as the growth of the field. And thou didst increase and grow up, and thou camest to excellent beauty: thy breasts were fashioned, and thy hair was grown; yet thou wast naked and bare.

8 E, passando eu por ao pé de ti, vi-te, e eis que o teu tempo era tempo de amores; e estendi sobre ti a ourela do meu manto, e cobri a tua nudez; e dei-te juramento, e entrei em concerto contigo, diz o Senhor Jehovah, e tu ficaste sendo minha.

Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, and, behold, thy time was the time of love, I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness; yea, I swore unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest Mine.

9 Então te lavei na água, e te enxuguei do teu sangue, e te ungi com óleo.

Then washed I thee with water; yea, I cleansed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.

10 E te vesti de bordadura, e te calcei de pelo de texugo, e te cingi de linho fino, e te cobri de seda.

I clothed thee also with richly woven work, and shod thee with sealskin, and I wound fine linen about thy head, and covered thee with silk.

11 E te ornei com ornamentos, e te pus braceletes nas mãos e um colar à rodo do teu pescoço.

I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.

12 E te pus uma jóia pendente na testa, e pendentes nas orelhas, e uma coroa de glória na cabeça.

And I put a ring upon thy nose, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thy head.

13 E assim foste ornada de ouro e prata, e o teu vestido foi de linho fino, e de seda e bordadura: nutriste-te de flor de farinha, e mel e óleo; e foste formosa em extremo, e foste prospera, até chegares a ser rainha.

Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and richly woven work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil; and thou didst wax exceeding beautiful, and thou wast meet for royal estate.

14 E saiu de ti a fama entre as nações, por causa da tua formosura, porque perfeita era, por causa da minha glória que eu tinha posto sobre ti, diz o Senhor Jehovah.

And thy renown went forth among the nations for thy beauty; for it was perfect, through My splendour which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.

15 Porém confiaste na tua formosura, e fornicaste por causa da tua fama; derramaste as tuas fornicações a todo o que passava, para seres sua.

But thou didst trust in thy beauty and play the harlot because of thy renown, and didst pour out thy harlotries on every one that passed by; his it was.

16 E tomaste dos teus vestidos, e fizeste lugares altos enfeitados, de diversas cores, e fornicaste sobre eles: tais coisas não vieram, nem hão de vir.

And thou didst take of thy garments, and didst make for thee high places decked with divers colours, and didst play the harlot upon them; the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.

17 E tomaste as tuas jóias de enfeite, que eu te dei do meu ouro e da minha prata, e fizeste imagens do homens, e fornicaste com elas.

Thou didst also take thy fair jewels of My gold and of My silver, which I had given thee, and madest for thee images of men, and didst play the harlot with them;

18 E tomaste os teus vestidos bordados, e os cobriste; e o meu óleo e o meu perfume puseste diante delas.

and thou didst take thy richly woven garments and cover them, and didst set Mine oil and Mine incense before them.

19 E o meu pão que te dei, a flor de farinha, e o óleo e o mel com que eu te sustentava também puseste diante delas em cheiro suave; e assim foi, diz o Senhor Jehovah.

My bread also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou didst even set it before them for a sweet savour, and thus it was; saith the Lord GOD.

20 Além disto, tomaste a teus filhos e tuas filhas, que me tinhas gerado, e os sacrificaste a elas, para os consumirem: acaso é pequena a tua fornicação?

Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto Me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Were thy harlotries a small matter,

21 E mataste a meus filhos, e os entregaste a elas para os fazerem passar pelo fogo.

that thou hast slain My children, and delivered them up, in setting them apart unto them?

22 E em todas as tuas abominações, e tuas fornicações, não te lembraste dos dias da tua mocidade, quando tu estavas nua e descoberta, e pizada no teu sangue.

And in all thine abominations and thy harlotries thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast wallowing in thy blood.

23 E sucedeu, depois de toda a tua maldade (ai! ai de ti! diz o Senhor Jehovah),

And it came to pass after all thy wickedness — woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord GOD —

24 Que edificaste uma abobada, e fizeste lugares altos por todas as ruas.

that thou hast built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee a lofty place in every street.

25 A cada canto do caminho edificaste o teu lugar alto, e fizeste abominável a tua formosura, e alargaste os teus pés a todo o que passava: e assim multiplicaste as tuas fornicações.

Thou hast built thy lofty place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty an abomination, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy harlotries.

26 Também fornicaste com os filhos do Egito, teus vizinhos de grandes carnes, e multiplicaste a tua fornicação para me provocares à ira.

Thou hast also played the harlot with the Egyptians, thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast multiplied thy harlotry, to provoke Me.

27 Pelo que eis que estendi a minha mão sobre ti, e diminui a tua porção; e te entreguei à vontade das que te aborrecem, a saber, das filhas dos philisteus, as quais se envergonhavam do teu caminho depravado.

Behold, therefore I have stretched out My hand over thee, and have diminished thine allowance, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, that are ashamed of thy lewd way.

28 Também fornicaste com os filhos da Assyria, porquanto eras insaciável; e, fornicando com eles, nem ainda assim ficaste farta;

Thou hast played the harlot also with the Assyrians, without having enough; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet thou wast not satisfied.

29 Antes multiplicaste as tuas fornicações na terra de Canaan até Chaldea, e nem ainda com isso te fartaste.

Thou hast moreover multiplied thy harlotry with the land of traffic, even with Chaldea; and yet thou didst not have enough herewith.

30 Quão fraco está o teu coração, diz o Senhor Jehovah, fazendo tu todas estas coisas, obras de uma mulher meretriz e imperiosa!

How weak is thy heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of a wanton harlot;

31 Edificando tu a tua abobada ao canto de cada caminho, e fazendo o teu lugar alto em cada rua! nem foste como a meretriz, desprezando a paga;

in that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thy lofty place in every street; and hast not been as a harlot that enhanceth her hire.

32 Antes como a mulher adúltera que, em lugar de seu marido, recebe os estranhos.

Thou wife that committest adultery, that takest strangers instead of thy husband —

33 A todas as meretrizes dão paga, mas tu dás os teus presentes a todos os teus amantes; e lhes dás presentes, para que venham a ti de todas as partes, por tuas fornicações.

to all harlots gifts are given; but thou hast given thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hast bribed them to come unto thee from every side in thy harlotries.

34 Assim que contigo sucede o contrário das mulheres nas tuas fornicações, pois após ti não andam para fornicar; porque, dando tu a paga, e a ti não sendo dada a paga, te fizeste contrária às outras.

And the contrary is in thee from other women, in that thou didst solicit to harlotry, and wast not solicited; and in that thou givest hire, and no hire is given unto thee, thus thou art contrary.

35 Portanto, ó meretriz, ouve a palavra do Senhor.

Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD!

36 Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Porquanto se derramou o teu dinheiro, e se descobriu a tua nudez nas tuas fornicações com os teus amantes, como também com todos os ídolos das tuas abominações, e no sangue de teus filhos que lhes deste:

Thus saith the Lord GOD: Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness uncovered through thy harlotries with thy lovers; and because of all the idols of thy abominations, and for the blood of thy children, that thou didst give unto them;

37 Portanto, eis que ajuntarei a todos os teus amantes, com os quais te misturaste, como também a todos os que amaste, com todos os que aborreceste, e ajunta-los-ei contra ti em redor, e descobrirei a tua nudez diante deles, para que vejam toda a tua nudez.

therefore behold, I will gather all thy lovers, unto whom thou hast been pleasant, and all them that thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast hated; I will even gather them against thee from every side, and will uncover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.

38 E julgar-te-ei segundo o teu juízo das adulteras e das que derramam sangue; e entregar-te-ei ao sangue de furor e de ciúme.

And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will bring upon thee the blood of fury and jealousy.

39 E entregar-te-ei nas suas mãos, e derribarão a tua abobada, e transtornarão os teus altos lugares, e te despirão os teus vestidos, e tomarão as tuas jóias de enfeite, e te deixarão nua e descoberta.

I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and break down thy lofty places; and they shall strip thee of thy clothes, and take thy fair jewels; and they shall leave thee naked and bare.

40 Então farão subir contra ti um ajuntamento, e te apedrejarão com pedra, e te traspassarão com as suas espadas.

They shall also bring up an assembly against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.

41 E queimarão as tuas casas a fogo, e executarão juízos contra ti, aos olhos de muitas mulheres; e te farei cessar de ser meretriz, e paga não darás mais.

And they shall burn thy houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women; and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou shalt also give no hire any more.

42 Assim farei descançar em ti o meu furor, e os meus ciúmes se desviarão de ti, e me aquietarei, e nunca mais me indignarei.

So will I satisfy My fury upon thee, and My jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.

43 Porquanto não te lembraste dos dias da tua mocidade, e me provocaste à ira com tudo isto: pelo que, eis que também eu farei recair o teu caminho sobre a tua cabeça, diz o Senhor Jehovah, e não farás tal enormidade de mais sobre todas as tuas abominações.

Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted Me in all these things; lo, therefore I also will bring thy way upon thy head, saith the Lord GOD; or hast thou not committed this lewdness above all thine abominations?

44 Eis que todo o que usa de provérbios usará de ti neste provérbio, dizendo: Qual a mãe, tal sua filha.

Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying: As the mother, so her daughter.

45 Tu és a filha de tua mãe, que tinha nojo de seu marido e de seus filhos; e tu és a irmã de tuas irmãs, que tinham nojo de seus maridos e de seus filhos: vossa mãe foi hethea, e vosso pai amorreu.

Thou art thy mother's daughter, that loatheth her husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, who loathed their husbands and their children; your mother was a Hittite, and your father an Amorite.

46 E tua irmã maior é Samaria, ela e suas filhas, a qual habita à tua esquerda: e tua irmã menor que tu, que habita à tua mão direita, é Sodoma e suas filhas

And thine elder sister is Samaria, that dwelleth at thy left hand, she and her daughters; and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.

47 Todavia não andaste nos caminhos, nem fizeste conforme as suas abominações, como se isto mui pouco fôra; porém te corrompeste mais do que elas, em todos os teus caminhos.

Yet hast thou not walked in their ways, nor done after their abominations; but in a very little while thou didst deal more corruptly than they in all thy ways.

48 Vivo eu, diz o Senhor Jehovah, que não fez Sodoma, tua irmã, nem ela, nem suas filhas, como fizeste tu e tuas filhas.

As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.

49 Eis que esta foi a maldade de Sodoma, tua irmã; soberba, fartura de pão, e abundância de ociosidade teve ela e suas filhas, porém nunca esforçou a mão do pobre e do necessitado.

Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom: pride, fulness of bread, and careless ease was in her and in her daughters; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

50 E se ensoberbeceram, e fizeram abominação diante de mim; pelo que as tirei dali, vendo eu isto.

And they were haughty, and committed abomination before Me; therefore I removed them when I saw it.

51 Também Samaria não cometeu a metade de teus pecados: e multiplicaste as tuas abominações mais do que elas, e justificaste a tuas irmãs, com todas as tuas abominações que fizeste.

Neither hath Samaria committed even half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters by all thine abominations which thou hast done.

52 Tu pois também leva a tua vergonha, tu que julgaste a tuas irmãs, pelos teus pecados, que fizeste mais abomináveis do que elas; mais justas são do que tu: envergonha-te logo também, e leva a tua vergonha, pois justificaste a tuas irmãs.

Thou also, bear thine own shame, in that thou hast given judgment for thy sisters; through thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they, they are more righteous than thou; yea, be thou also confounded, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.

53 Eu pois farei voltar os cativos deles; os cativos de Sodoma e suas filhas, e os cativos de Samaria e suas filhas, e os cativos do teu cativeiro entre elas;

And I will turn their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, and the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them;

54 Para que leves a tua vergonha, e sejas envergonhada por tudo o que fizeste, dando-lhes tu consolação.

that thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be ashamed because of all that thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort unto them.

55 Quando tuas irmãs, Sodoma e suas filhas, tornarem ao seu primeiro estado, e também Samaria e suas filhas tornarem ao seu primeiro estado, também tu e tuas filhas tornareis ao vosso primeiro estado.

And thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, and thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate.

56 Nem até Sodoma, tua irmã, foi ouvida na tua boca, no dia das tuas soberbas,

For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the day of thy pride;

57 Antes que se descobrisse a tua maldade, como no tempo do desprezo das filhas da Síria, e de todos os que estavam ao redor dela, as filhas dos philisteus, que te desprezavam em redor.

before thy wickedness was uncovered, as at the time of the taunt of the daughters of Aram, and of all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, that have thee in disdain round about.

58 A tua enormidade e as tuas abominações tu levarás, diz o Senhor.

Thou hast borne thy lewdness and thine abominations, saith the LORD.

59 Porque assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: também te farei como fizeste; que desprezaste o juramento, quebrantando o concerto.

For thus saith the Lord GOD: I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, who hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant.

60 Contudo eu me lembrarei do meu concerto contigo nos dias da tua mocidade; e estabelecerei contigo um concerto eterno.

Nevertheless I will remember My covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.

61 Então te lembrarás dos teus caminhos, e te confundirás, quando receberes tuas irmãs maiores do que tu, com as menores do que tu, porque tas darei por filhas, porém não pelo teu concerto.

Then shalt thou remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder sisters and thy younger; and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not because of thy covenant.

62 Porque eu estabelecerei o meu concerto contigo, e saberás que eu sou o Senhor;

And I will establish My covenant with thee, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD;

63 Para que te lembres disso, e te envergonhes, e nunca mais abras a tua boca por causa da tua vergonha, quando me reconciliar contigo de tudo quanto fizeste, diz o Senhor Jehovah.

that thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more, because of thy shame; when I have forgiven thee all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD.'
