Efésios 6
1 Vós, filhos, sede obedientes a vossos pais no Senhor, porque isto é justo.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 Honra a teu pai e a tua mãe, que é o primeiro mandamento com promessa,
“Honor yoʋr father and mother” (which is the first commandment with a promise),
3 Para que te vá bem, e vivas muito tempo sobre a terra.
“that it may be well with yoʋ and yoʋ may live long on the earth.”
4 E vós, pais, não provoqueis a ira a vossos filhos, mas criai-os na doutrina e admoestação do Senhor.
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
5 Vós, servos, obedecei a vossos senhores segundo a carne, com temor e tremor, na sinceridade de vosso coração, como a Cristo;
Slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.
6 Não servindo à vista, como agradando a homens, mas como servos de Cristo, fazendo de coração a vontade de Deus,
Do not try to please them only when they are watching you, but act like slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.
7 Servindo de boa vontade ao Senhor, e não aos homens.
Serve with a good attitude, as serving the Lord and not men,
8 Sabendo que cada um receberá do Senhor todo o bem que fizer, seja servo, seja livre.
knowing that whatever good anyone does he will receive back from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.
9 E vós senhores, fazei o mesmo para com eles, deixando as ameaças, sabendo também que o Senhor deles e vosso está no céu, e que para com ele não há acepção de pessoas.
Masters, do the same for your slaves and stop threatening them, because you know that your own Master is in heaven, and there is no partiality with him.
10 No demais, irmãos meus, fortalecei-vos no Senhor e na força do seu poder.
Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.
11 Revesti-vos de toda a armadura de Deus, para que possais estar firmes contra as astutas ciladas do diabo.
Put on the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
12 Porque não temos que lutar contra a carne e o sangue, mas sim contra os principados, contra as potestades, contra os príncipes das trevas deste século, contra as malícias espirituais em os ares. (aiōn g165)
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. (aiōn g165)
13 Portanto tomai toda a armadura de Deus, para que possais resistir no dia mau, e, havendo feito tudo, ficar firmes.
Therefore take up the full armor of God so that you may be able to resist the enemy on the day of evil, and after you have done everything, to stand firm.
14 Estai pois firmes, tendo cingidos os vossos lombos com a verdade, e vestidos com a couraça da justiça;
Stand firm therefore by fastening the belt of truth around your waist, putting on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 E calçados os pés com a preparação do evangelho da paz
and shodding your feet with the readiness of the gospel of peace.
16 Tomando sobretudo o escudo da fé, com o qual possais apagar todos os dardos inflamados do maligno.
Above all, take up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 Tomai também o capacete da salvação, e a espada do espírito, que é a palavra de Deus:
Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 Orando em todo o tempo com toda a oração e súplica em espírito, e vigiando nisto com toda a perseverança e súplica por todos os santos,
Pray in the Spirit at all times, with every prayer and supplication, and to this end, stay alert and be persistent in praying for all the saints.
19 E por mim; para que me seja dada, no abrir da minha boca, a palavra com confiança, para fazer notório o mistério do evangelho.
Pray also for me, so that when I open my mouth to speak, a message may be given to me to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,
20 Pelo qual sou embaixador em cadeias; para que possa falar dele livremente, como me convém falar.
for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it boldly, as I should.
21 Ora, para que vós também possais saber os meus negócios, e o que eu faço, Tycico, irmão amado, e fiel ministro do Senhor, vos informará de tudo.
Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will give you a full report about how I am doing so that you may be informed.
22 O qual vos enviei para o mesmo fim, para que saibais os nossos negócios, e ele console os vossos corações.
I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are doing and that he may encourage your hearts.
23 Paz seja com os irmãos, e caridade com fé da parte de Deus Pai e da do Senhor Jesus Cristo.
Peace be with the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24 A graça seja com todos os que amam a nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo em sinceridade. amém.
Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love. Amen.
