Efésios 3
1 Por esta causa eu, Paulo, sou o prisioneiro de Jesus Cristo por vós, os gentios;
For this cause, I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
2 Se é que tendes ouvido a dispensação da graça de Deus, que para convosco me foi dada;
If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me on your account.
3 Como me foi este mistério manifestado pela revelação (como acima em poucas palavras vos escrevi;
That by revelation he made known to me the mystery, as I wrote before in few words;
4 Pelo que, lendo, podeis entender a minha ciência neste mistério de Christo),
By which when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ,
5 O qual noutros séculos não foi manifestado aos filhos dos homens, como agora é revelado pelo espírito aos seus santos apóstolos e profetas;
Which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
6 A saber, que os gentios são coerdeiros, e de um mesmo corpo, e participantes da sua promessa em Cristo pelo evangelho;
That the Gentiles should be joint-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the Gospel:
7 Do qual sou feito ministro, pelo dom da graça de Deus, que me foi dado segundo a operação do seu poder.
Of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effectual working of his power.
8 A mim, o mínimo de todos os santos, me foi dada esta graça de anunciar entre os gentios, por meio do evangelho, as riquezas incompreensíveis de Cristo,
To me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
9 E mostrar a todos qual seja a comunhão do mistério, que desde todos os séculos esteve oculto em Deus, que por Cristo Jesus criou todas as coisas; (aiōn g165)
And to make all [men] see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: (aiōn g165)
10 Para que agora pela igreja a multiforme sabedoria de Deus seja manifestada aos principados e potestades nos céus,
To the intent that now to the principalities and powers in heavenly [places] might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: (aiōn g165)
12 No qual temos ousadia e acesso com confiança, pela fé nele.
In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him,
13 Portanto vos peço que não desfaleçais nas minhas tribulações por vós, que são a vossa glória
Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
14 Por causa disto me ponho de joelhos perante o Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo,
For this cause I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Do qual toda a família nos céus e na terra toma o nome.
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16 Para que, segundo as riquezas da sua glória, vos conceda que sejais corroborados com poder pelo seu espírito no homem interior;
That he would grant you according to the riches of his glory to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 Para que Cristo habite pela fé nos vossos corações; para que, estando arraigados e fundados em amor,
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 Possais perfeitamente compreender, com todos os santos, qual seja a largura, e o comprimento, e a altura, e a profundidade,
May be able to comprehend with all saints what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and highth.
19 E conhecer o amor de Cristo, que excede todo o entendimento, para que sejais cheios de toda a plenitude de Deus.
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Ora, àquele que é poderoso para fazer tudo muito mais abundantemente do que pedimos ou pensamos, segundo o poder que em nós opera,
Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
