Colossenses 2
1 Porque quero que saibais quão grande combate tenho por vós, e pelos que estão em Laodicea, e por quantos não viram o meu rosto em carne;
For I wish you to know how great a conflict I have for you, and for those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
2 Para que os seus corações sejam consolados, e estejam unidos em caridade, e em todas as riquezas da plenitude de inteligência, para conhecimento do mistério do Deus e Pai, e do Cristo.
that their hearts may be comforted, they being firmly united in love in order to gain all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may acknowledge the mystery of God, even the Father, and of Christ,
3 No qual estão escondidos todos os tesouros da sabedoria e da ciência.
in whom are stored up all the treasures of wisdom and of knowledge.
4 E digo isto, para que ninguém vos engane com palavras persuasivas na aparência.
Now I say this, that no one may deceive you by persuasive words.
5 Porque ainda que esteja ausente quanto ao corpo, todavia em espírito estou convosco, regozijando-me, e vendo a vossa ordem, e a firmeza da vossa fé em Cristo.
For, though I am absent in flesh, yet I am present with you in spirit, rejoicing to behold your order, and the firmness of your faith in Christ.
6 Pois, como recebestes o Senhor Jesus Cristo, assim também andai nele,
As, therefore, you received Christ Jesus our Lord, so walk in him,
7 Arraigados e sobreedificados nele, e confirmados na fé, assim como fostes ensinados, abundando em ação de graças.
rooted, and built up in him, and strengthened in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
8 Olhai que ninguém vos sobresalte por meio de filosofias e vãs sutilezas, segundo a tradição dos homens, segundo os rudimentos do mundo, e não segundo Cristo:
See that no one make you the victims of imposture by means of philosophy and vain deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the rudiments of the world, and not according to Christ:
9 Porque nele habita corporalmente toda a plenitude da divindade;
for in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhood bodily.
10 E nele estais perfeitos, o qual é a cabeça de todo o principado e potestade:
And you are complete in him who is the head of all principality and authority:
11 No qual também estais circuncidados com uma circuncisão não feita por mão no despojo do corpo da carne, na circuncisão de Cristo:
in whom you have been also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in the putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,
12 Sepultados com ele no batismo, no qual também resuscitastes com ele pela fé no poder de Deus, que o resuscitou dos mortos.
when you were buried with him in immersion, in which you were also raised with him by your faith in the energy of God, who raised him from the dead.
13 E, quando vós estaveis mortos nos pecados, e na incircuncisão da vossa carne, vos vivificou juntamente com ele, perdoando-vos todas as ofensas,
And you, being dead to your offenses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, he has made alive together with him, having forgiven you all your offenses;
14 Havendo riscado a cédula que contra nós havia nas ordenanças, a qual de alguma maneira nos era contrária, e a tirou do meio de nós, encravando-a na cruz.
having blotted out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us, which was opposed to us, he also took it out of the way, driving a nail through it by means of his cross;
15 E, despojando os principados e potestades, os expôs publicamente à vergonha, e triunfou deles por ela.
and having spoiled the principalities and authorities, he made a show of them openly by triumphing over them through it.
16 Portanto ninguém vos julgue pelo comer, ou pelo beber, ou por causa dos dias de festa, ou da lua nova, ou dos sábados;
Let no one judge you, therefore, in meat or in drink, or in respect to a feast, or the new moon, or sabbaths,
17 Que são sombras das coisas futuras, mas o corpo é de Cristo.
which things are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is in Christ,
18 Ninguém vos domine a seu bel-prazer com pretexto de humildade e culto dos anjos, metendo-se em coisas que nunca viu; estando debalde inchado no sentido da sua carne;
Let no one gain his purpose in depriving you of the palm by an affected humility and worship of angels, prying into things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19 E não estando ligado à cabeça, da qual todo o corpo, provido e organizado pelas juntas e ligaduras, vai crescendo em aumento de Deus.
and not holding the head, from which the whole body gathering vigor, and firmly united by joints and bands, increases with the increase of God.
20 Portanto, se estais mortos com Cristo quanto aos rudimentos do mundo, porque vos carregam ainda de ordenanças, como se vivesseis no mundo?
If, then, you have died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you submit to ordinances?
21 Tais como: não toques, não proves, não manuseis:
Touch not, taste not, handle not,
22 As quais coisas todas perecem pelo uso, segundo os preceitos e doutrinas dos homens;
(all of which are for the destruction of those who use them, ) according to the commandments and teachings of men;
23 As quais tem na verdade alguma aparência de sabedoria, em devoção voluntária, humildade, e mau tratamento do corpo, mas não são de valor algum para satisfação da carne
and these have a show of wisdom in will-worship and affected humility and neglect of the body, and in no regard for the gratification of the flesh.
