Amós 9
1 Vi o Senhor, que estava em pé sobre o altar, e me disse: Fere o capitel, e estremeçam os umbrais, e corta-lhes em pedaços a cabeça a todos eles; e eu matarei à espada até ao último deles: o que fugir dentre eles não escapará, nem o que escapar dentre eles se salvará
I saw the Lord standing on the altar: and he said, Smite the mercy-seat, and the porch shall be shaken: and cut through into the heads of all; and I will slay the remnant of them with the sword: no one of them fleeing shall escape, and no one of them, striving to save himself shall be delivered.
2 Ainda que cavem até ao inferno, a minha mão os tirará dali, e, se subirem ao céu, dali os farei descer. (Sheol h7585)
Though they hid themselves in hell, thence shall my hand drag them forth; and though they go up to heaven, thence will I bring them down. (Sheol h7585)
3 E, se se esconderem no cume do Carmelo, busca-los-ei, e dali os tirarei; e, se se ocultarem aos meus olhos no fundo do mar, ali darei ordem à serpente, e ela os morderá.
If they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, thence will I search [them] out and take them; and if they should go down from my presence into the depths of the sea, there will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them.
4 E, se forem em cativeiro diante de seus inimigos, ali darei ordem à espada que os mate; e eu porei o meu olho sobre eles para mal, e não para bem.
And if they should go into captivity before the face of their enemies, there will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes against them for evil, and not for good.
5 Porque o Senhor Jehovah dos exércitos é o que toca a terra, e ela se derreterá, e todos os que habitam nela chorarão; e ela subirá toda como um rio, e submergirá como pelo rio do Egito.
And the Lord, the Lord God Almighty, [is he] that takes hold of the land, and causes it to shake, and all that inhabit it shall mourn; and its destruction shall go up as a river, and shall descend as the river of Egypt.
6 Ele é o que edifica os seus degraus no céu, e o seu esquadrão fundou na terra, e o que chama as águas do mar, e as derrama sobre a terra: o Senhor é o seu nome.
[It is he] that builds his ascent up to the sky, and establishes his promise on the earth; who calls the water of the sea, and pours it out on the face of the earth; the Lord Almighty is his name.
7 Não me sois, vós, ó filhos de Israel, como os filhos dos ethiopes? diz o Senhor; não fiz eu subir a Israel da terra do Egito, e aos philisteus de Caphtor, e aos sirios de Kir
Are not ye to me as the sons of the Ethiopians, O children of Israel? saith the Lord. Did I not bring Israel up out of the land of Egypt, and the Philistines from Cappadocia, and the Syrians out of the deep?
8 Eis que os olhos do Senhor Jehovah estão contra este reino pecador, e eu o destruirei de sobre a face da terra, exceto que não destruirei de todo a casa de Jacob, diz o Senhor.
Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are upon the kingdom of sinners, and I will cut it off from the face of the earth; only I will not utterly cut off the house of Jacob, saith the Lord.
9 Porque eis que darei ordem, e sacudirei a casa de Israel entre todas as nações, assim como se sacode grão no crivo, sem que caia na terra um só grão.
For I [will] give commandment, and sift the house of Israel among all the Gentiles, as [corn] is sifted in a sieve, and [yet] a fragment shall not in any wise fall upon the earth.
10 Todos os pecadores do meu povo morrerão à espada, os que dizem: Não se avisinhará nem nos encontrará o mal.
All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, who say, Calamities shall certainly not draw near, nor come upon us.
11 Naquele dia tornarei a levantar a caída tenda de David, e cercarei as suas aberturas, e tornarei a levantar as suas ruínas, e a edificarei como nos dias da antiguidade;
In that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and will rebuild the ruins of it, and will set up the parts thereof that have been broken down, and will build it up as in the ancient days:
12 Para que possuam o restante de Edom, e todas as nações que são chamadas pelo meu nome, diz o Senhor, que faz isto.
that the remnant of men, and all the Gentiles upon whom my name is called, may earnestly seek [me], saith the Lord who does all these things.
13 Eis que veem dias, diz o Senhor, em que o que lavra alcançará ao que sega, e o que piza as uvas ao que semeia a semente, e os montes distilarão mosto, e todos os outeiros se derreterão.
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when the harvest shall overtake the vintage, and the grapes shall ripen at seedtime; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall be planted.
14 E tornarei o cativeiro do meu povo Israel, e reedificarão as cidades assoladas, e nelas habitarão, e plantarão vinhas, e beberão o seu vinho, e farão jardins, e lhes comerão o fruto.
And I will turn the captivity of my people Israel, and they shall rebuild the ruined cities, and shall inhabit [them]; and they shall plant vineyards, and shall drink the wine from them; and they shall form gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
15 E os plantarei na sua terra, e não serão mais arrancados da sua terra que lhes dei, diz o Senhor teu Deus.
And I will plant them on their land, and they shall no more be plucked up from the land which I have given them, saith the Lord God Almighty.
