2 João 1
1 O ancião à senhora eleita, e a seus filhos, aos quais amo na verdade, e não somente eu, mas também todos os que tem conhecido a verdade,
The elder unto the excellent Lady, and her children, whom I love in truth: and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;
for the sake of the truth which dwelleth in us, and will be with us for ever: (aiōn g165)
3 Graça, misericórdia, paz, da parte de Deus Pai e da do Senhor Jesus Cristo, o Filho do Pai, seja convosco na verdade e caridade.
grace, mercy, and peace be with you from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
4 Muito me alegrarei por achar que alguns de teus filhos andam na verdade, assim como recebemos o mandamento do Pai.
I rejoiced greatly that I found among thy children such as walked in truth, as we received commandment from the Father.
5 E agora, senhora, rogo-te, não como escrevendo-te um novo mandamento, mas aquele que desde o princípio tivemos, que nos amemos uns aos outros.
And now I beseech thee, Lady, not as writing to thee a new commandment, but that which we had from the beginning, that we may love one another.
6 E a caridade é esta: que andemos segundo os seus mandamentos. Este é o mandamento, como já desde o princípio ouvistes, que nele andeis.
And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments. This is the commandment, as ye heard from the beginning, that ye should walk in it.
7 Porque já muitos enganadores entraram no mundo, os quais não confessam que Jesus Cristo veio em carne. Este tal é o enganador e o anti-cristo.
For many deceivers are come out into the world, who disown that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. Such a one is a deceiver and an antichrist.
8 Olhai por vós mesmos, para que não percamos o que já trabalhamos, antes recebamos o inteiro galardão.
Look to yourselves, that ye lose not the things which ye have wrought, but that ye may receive a full reward.
9 Todo aquele que prevarica, e não persevera na doutrina de Cristo, não tem a Deus: quem persevera na doutrina de Cristo, esse tem assim ao Pai como ao Filho.
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God: but he, that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, hath both the Father and the Son.
10 Se alguém vem ter convosco, e não traz esta doutrina, não o recebais em casa, nem tampouco o saudeis.
Now if any one come unto you, and bringeth not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, nor wish him success: for he,
11 Porque quem o saúda tem parte nas suas más obras.
that biddeth him welcome, is partaker of his evil deeds.
12 Muitas coisas tenho que escrever-vos, porém não quis com papel e tinta; mas espero ir ter convosco e falar de boca a boca, para que o nosso gozo seja cumprido.
Having many things to write unto you, I would not with paper and ink: but I hope to come unto you, and speak mouth to mouth, that our joy may be full.
13 Saúdam-te os filhos de tua irmã, a eleita. amém.
The children of thy elect sister salute thee. Amen.
