2 Coríntios 13

1 É esta a terceira vez que vou ter convosco. Na boca de duas ou três testemunhas será confirmada toda a palavra.

This [is] the third [time] I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

2 Já anteriormente o disse: e segunda vez o digo como se estivesse presente; agora pois, estando ausente, o digo aos que de antes pecaram e a todos os mais, que, se outra vez for, não lhes perdoarei;

I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare:

3 Visto que buscais uma prova de Cristo que fala em mim, o qual não é fraco para convosco, antes é poderoso entre vós.

Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you.

4 Porque, ainda que foi crucificado por fraqueza, todavia vive pelo poder de Deus. Porque nós também somos fracos nele, porém viveremos com ele pelo poder de Deus em vós.

For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.

5 Examinai-vos a vós mesmos, se permaneceis na fé; provai-vos a vós mesmos. Ou não vos conheceis a vós mesmos, que Jesus Cristo está em vós? Se não é que já estais reprovados.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

6 Mas espero que entendereis que nós não somos reprovados.

But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.

7 Ora eu rogo a Deus que não façais mal algum, não para que sejamos achados aprovados, mas para que vós façais o bem, embora nós sejamos como reprovados.

Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.

8 Porque nada podemos contra a verdade, senão pela verdade.

For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

9 Porque nos regozijamos de estar fracos, quando vós estais fortes; e o que desejamos é a vossa perfeição.

For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, [even] your perfection.

10 Portanto, escrevo estas coisas estando ausente, para que, estando presente, não use de rigor, segundo o poder que o Senhor me deu para edificação, e não para destruição.

Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.

11 Quanto ao mais, irmãos, regozijai-vos, sede perfeitos, sede consolados, sede de um mesmo parecer, vivei em paz; e o Deus do amor e da paz será convosco.

Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

12 Saudai-vos uns aos outros com ósculo santo.

Greet one another with an holy kiss.

13 Todos os santos vos saudam.

All the saints salute you.

14 A graça do Senhor Jesus Cristo, e o amor de Deus, e a comunhão do Espírito Santo seja com vós todos. Amém.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, [be] with you all. Amen.
