2 Crônicas 10
1 E foi Roboão a Sichem, porque todo o Israel tinha vindo a Sichem para o fazerem rei.

2 Sucedeu pois que, ouvindo-o Jeroboão, filho de Nebat (o qual estava então no Egito para onde fugira da presença do rei Salomão), voltou Jeroboão do Egito.

3 Porque enviaram a ele, e o chamaram: e veio pois Jeroboão com todo o Israel: e falaram a Roboão dizendo:

4 Teu pai fez duro o nosso jugo, alivia tu pois agora a dura servidão de teu pai, e o pesado jugo dele, que nos tinha imposto, e servir-te-emos.
father your to harden [obj] yoke our and now to lighten from service father your [the] severe and from yoke his [the] heavy which to give: put upon us and to serve you
5 E ele lhes disse: daqui a três dias tornai a mim. Então o povo se foi.
and to say to(wards) them still three day and to return: again to(wards) me and to go: went [the] people
6 E teve Roboão conselho com os anciãos, que estiveram perante Salomão seu pai, enquanto viveu, dizendo: Como aconselhais vós que se responda a este povo?
and to advise [the] king Rehoboam with [the] old which to be to stand: stand to/for face: before Solomon father his in/on/with to be he alive to/for to say how? you(m. p.) to advise to/for to return: reply to/for people [the] this word
7 E eles lhe falaram, dizendo: Se te fizeres benigno e afável com este povo, e lhes falares boas palavras, todos os dias serão teus servos.
and to speak: speak to(wards) him to/for to say if to be to/for pleasant to/for [the] people [the] this and to accept them and to speak: speak to(wards) them word pleasant and to be to/for you servant/slave all [the] day: always
8 Porém ele deixou o conselho, que os anciãos lhe deram: e teve conselho com os mancebos, que haviam crescido com ele, e estavam perante ele.
and to leave: forsake [obj] counsel [the] old which to advise him and to advise with [the] youth which to magnify with him [the] to stand: stand to/for face: before his
9 E disse-lhes: Que aconselhais vós, que respondamos a este povo? que me falou, dizendo: alivia-nos o jugo que teu pai nos impoz?
and to say to(wards) them what? you(m. p.) to advise and to return: reply word [obj] [the] people [the] this which to speak: speak to(wards) me to/for to say to lighten from [the] yoke which to give: put father your upon us
10 E os mancebos, que com ele haviam crescido, lhe falaram, dizendo: Assim dirás a este povo, que te falou, dizendo: Teu pai agravou o nosso jugo, tu porém alivia-nos: assim pois lhes falarás: O meu dedo mínimo é mais grosso do que os lombos de meu pai
and to speak: speak with him [the] youth which to magnify with him to/for to say thus to say to/for people which to speak: speak to(wards) you to/for to say father your to honor: heavy [obj] yoke our and you(m. s.) to lighten from upon us thus to say to(wards) them little finger my to thicken from loin father my
11 Assim que se meu pai vos fez carregar dum jugo pesado, eu ainda acrescentarei sobre o vosso jugo: meu pai vos castigou com açoites, porém eu vos castigarei com escorpiões.
and now father my to lift upon you yoke heavy and I to add upon yoke your father my to discipline [obj] you in/on/with whip and I in/on/with scorpion
12 Veio pois Jeroboão, e todo o povo a Roboão, no terceiro dia, como o rei tinha ordenado, dizendo: tornai a mim ao terceiro dia.
and to come (in): come Jeroboam and all [the] people to(wards) Rehoboam in/on/with day [the] third like/as as which to speak: speak [the] king to/for to say to return: again to(wards) me in/on/with day [the] third
13 E o rei lhe respondeu asperamente: porque o rei Roboão deixou o conselho dos anciãos.
and to answer them [the] king severe and to leave: forsake [the] king Rehoboam [obj] counsel [the] old
14 E falou-lhes conforme ao conselho dos mancebos, dizendo: Meu pai agravou o vosso jugo, porém eu lhe acrescentarei mais: meu pai vos castigou com açoites, porém eu vos castigarei com escorpiões.
and to speak: speak to(wards) them like/as counsel [the] youth to/for to say to honor: heavy [obj] yoke your and I to add upon him father my to discipline [obj] you in/on/with whip and I in/on/with scorpion
15 Assim o rei não deu ouvidos ao povo, porque esta mudança vinha de Deus, para que o Senhor confirmasse a sua palavra, a qual falara pelo ministério d'Ahias, o silonita, a Jeroboão, filho de Nebat.

16 Vendo pois todo o Israel, que o rei lhes não dava ouvidos, então o povo respondeu ao rei, dizendo: Que parte temos nós com David? já não temos herança no filho d'Isai; Israel, cada um às suas tendas! Olha agora pela tua casa, ó David. Assim todo o Israel se foi para as suas tendas.

17 Porém, quanto aos filhos de Israel, que habitavam nas cidades de Judá, sobre eles reinou Roboão.

18 Então o rei Roboão enviou a Hadoram, que tinha cargo dos tributos; porém os filhos de Israel o apedrejaram com pedras, de que morreu: então o rei Roboão se esforçou a subir para o seu carro, e fugiu para Jerusalém.

19 Assim se rebelaram os israelitas contra a casa de David, até ao dia de hoje.
